I love the sound of moving water and suggest adding a small bubbler or birdbath with moving water to the garden. I have a pond in the back and I plan to add a small feature in the front where I can watch birds bathing while drinking my morning coffee and enjoying the sunrise.

We live in a small joined home and we don’t have a yard. However. We have a beautiful view of the Rocky mountains from our deck. So we extended our deck. It’s our favorite space. We call it our “lanai”. 😂

Your outdoor space and gardens are dreamy! We have begun an exiting project replacing a small metal patio cover with a big wood framed one. I’m sooo looking forward to larger furniture and setting it all up when it’s finished.

I love having a cut flower garden but as Ive gotten older, I find it difficult to care for. I have started using my raised garden beds, once my summer garden plantings are over, for planting zinnias, etc. I live in Georgia, so there's plenty of harvest time between plantings. It's a win-win situation! The vegetables are attractive when they're growing in the beds and so are the zinnias and asters later in the season.

Ashley in this video around the 7-8 minute mark there was a rat/mouse that ran right behind you funny. We need to get your cat out there working lol. Seriously I like your design style good job!
Ha! It was a chipmunk!! My husband feeds them everyday and we have one that’s made a home under the sink in our outdoor kitchen. ❤
Most people have to create their gardens and do all of the work themselves...it makes a person appreciate it much more. Your patio area is lovely though
Oh, we planted every single plant ourselves. My husband even ran the skid steer and backfilled the entire garden area with SB2 and topsoil when we created it. We built and stained all the raised beds ourselves, spread the pea gravel ourselves, amended the soil, worked on the drip irrigation, hung the lights, ran the wiring for the outdoor speakers, and the list goes on and on. Now, we plant, weed, fertilize, mulch, and prune every plant ourselves. We have a DIY approach to our garden and landscaping. We love it, and half the fun is the process. We work very hard to create our dream garden and home and have a ton of "sweat equity" in every single thing we do. I love the process and am so grateful to be able to realize our vision with hard work and dedication.

Not at all!!! The only birds that perch on them are the little hummingbirds that come every year, and I love to see them sitting on the wires!
