    I absolutely love the Enchanted Tiki Room, it has so much retro Disney charm to it and it's relaxing as heck when you've been out walking in the heat for hours. Some of my other favorites are Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest, and Dinosaur. You can probably guess what my two favorite parks are. :D

    I really like Crush's Coaster in Disneyland Paris, it's one of those spin and drop rides but with actual solid themeing. Phantom Manor is also cool as well, and has nice twists on the haunted mansion, especially when you start going backwards and go underground and see coffins and skeletons.

    I like the change where the woman chases the pirate. I've always liked the idea of inept villains, and it has more character than just some pirate chasing some lady.

    I have only been to Disney World but some of my favorites in no specific order are Big Thunder Mountain which was my first ever roller coaster, Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Space, Test Track, and soarin'. I didn't want to make my list too long so some I didn't include. I missed out on tower of terror last time we went to Disney world because I was still scared of drop towers then. I also missed out on a few of the other rides. Luckily next March my school is taking a trip down to Disney world and I will make sure to get on some of the rides I missed.

  • @CherishedbyGod

    I got to go on two behind the scenes tours of tower of terror. One I signed up for in the hub, the other was part of my guest service class. It held a special place in my heart because I got to see so much behind the scenes.

    I've been going to DL for just over 45 years, it never once occurred to me to ride the StoryBook Canal boats at night. I'll have to try that sometime. I'll bet it looks great with the lights on inside the houses.

    I always enjoy It's a Small World. Nice and peaceful. Plus it's cool to get a tiny glimpse of different cultures and their languages.

    • @dzimzy8699
      @dzimzy8699 7 років тому

      Small World is nightmare inducing for me!!! I just thinking about the ride stopping and all the animatronics coming to life and killing everyone in my boat...

  • @CherishedbyGod
    @CherishedbyGod 7 років тому

    I used to spend hours doing the classes at the animation academy over and over. It was fun learning how to draw characters and waiting for the next class allowed for fun interactions with the animators.
    I also loved hanging out and watching the mini shows by the citizens of Hollywood.
    Another favorite that I did 2 or 3 times was the greenhouse tour in the land. With the cast member discount it was super cheap and it was special to dfo with friends.
    We always used to taste the cola in Epcot. We would haze newcomers to our group by filming them drinking Beverly. It was always a fun memory.

    • @SirWillow
      @SirWillow  7 років тому

      The Beverly was fun for us with newcomers as well. When I would escort school groups I always made sure to get them to try it all at the same time while I took pictures. Got some great reaction photos!

  • @therealchristinedaee

    Sadly Muppets ride scarred me for life. I remember the Muppet Ride as a five year old and the whole 3D (at the time) movie terrified me and it took me years and years to get over my fear of 3D rides. I would refuse to wear the glasses because I was just terrified! I love the Muppets, and have all three seasons of the show on DVD and a DVD with bonus famous actors on the show like Steve Martin. My favorite Muppet movie is a tie between Treasure Island and Christmas Carol.
    Okay! My favorite rides from Disney World: in no particular order
    1. Space Mountain! The most thrilling coolest ride I have ever been on! And the best part/memory of it is in a photo from the ride! I had never ridden it before, but apparently, I knew where the camera was, and looked directly at it when they took the picture on the ride!
    2. Test Track! Oh I loved being able to build my own car and make it super fast and powerful! Great use of "entertainment" in the cue! They utilize a lot of cool parts of car design through physical and tangible outlets. Very interactive and cool, and if you have a magic band, you can save your car and upload it to the ride, and you can email yourself the car! Beyond fun and amazing! This is at Epcot.
    3. Snow White Mine Train! Okay, I do not know the whole name of the ride, but that's not important. This also is fun and amazing in its own right. This, like Test Track, uses great cue entertainment through tangible interaction. It is BORING standing in line, and it helps to break up the monotony of waiting in line if you have something fun to do or look at. The water pipe organ, the barrels, and the gem game are such amazing parts of the cue that everyone can play around with! Okay, the ride is fun, and I loved being able to feel like I was physically in the movie. It was a great roller coaster!
    4. People Mover! I did some research before we went to Disney, and many blogs said to ride this since it was a Disney innovation. And I am glad I rode it. Great view of the park, it was great to sit and relax our tired feet, and it is just another display of efficiency and innovation. It might not have thrills, but it is just a wonderful ride!
    5. The Frozen Ever After Ride! I mean, what's not to love about it? I had the best experience on it. Sadly, we were not in on the whole "book your fast passes in 30 days;" we booked all of them the day before. So sadly, Frozen was not available as a fast pass when we went to Epcot. We walk into the park, and head over to Norway pavilion to kill some time before Soarin' and other fast passes we had, and po and behold! A flipping twenty minute wait for Frozen! I ran right onto the regular cue, and boom! In no time, we were riding! I loved the inside, and the cute views of Oaken's shop and family in the sauna. The ride exceeded all of my expectations. I nearly cried when we got to Elsa's castle as she sang Let it Go. It was just so overwhelmingly awesome! I love how the pushes you backwards too. And the Marshmallow scary guy was cool, but my favorite snow thing aside from Olaf is the "little brothers," and I was glad to see them in the ride.
    6. Soarin! The views of the ride were breathtaking, and the smells were interesting as well! Never been on a ride where you could smell the sights, and that was pretty cool. It is also amazing that as a rider, you were not able to see the other gliders, and every seat had a great view. Usually, you can see the illusion or mechanics of how the ride works, but not on this ride. The magic of how they do it stays magical and a secret.
    7. Pirates of the Caribbean! I really enjoyed the update! And the pirate that sits on the bridge with no shoes on? He was my favorite as a kid. I named him Stinky Feet Pete.
    8. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Very thrilling and a blast!
    9. Haunted Mansion! I love the Stretching Room, and even though I am not a huge fan of scary haunted house things, it was a pretty fun ride. Yeah, I did have a few jump scares, but for waiting a long time to ride this, since my whole family won't ride anything scary was well worth it!
    10. Three Cabelleros! This was a great ride at the Mexico pavilion, and we would have never ridden if we didn't have lunch by the ride inside the Aztec monument. It was quite a nice boat ride, and honestly, it's so much better than the movie. I watched it after riding, and thought it wasn't great. Loved the ride and Donald Duck!

    This may be unique to me and my situation, but I'm sure many folks have had the same experience. #1 ride for me, right now, bar none ... It's a Small World. Why? I took my daughter on the ride about a few weeks ago for her 1st birthday. The look on her face ... it melted my heart. Apparently, according to my own mother, this was the same look I had many many years ago on the same ride.

    For a while at Disneyland, if you went on the Storybook Canal Boats sometime between morning and noon, a character would join you on the boats! Most of the time it was characters like Alice, The Mad Hatter, and Peter Pan. They’d mess around with the guests and steal the mic just to goof off. Best time to go on. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is a great ride! You still have to walk across the hall to get to the car, but the drops are much more frequent. The songs and the story are fun too. Our Tower was too small to move like the one in Florida. Just up and down motions every once in a while. Most of the people I talk to agree that it was best to change our Tower to fit something that suited the building a little more since it couldn’t move across rooms like the one in Florida. Plus the Halloween nighttime edition has cool effects and really just has fun dropping you from high heights with no stopping. Nice video, as usual!

    Wow you've only been evacuated from one ride!? That's crazy :O. I've been evacuated from Space Mountain, 7 Dwarves, Little Mermaid and maybe a few more too. That's in only six trips to Disney too lol. Once I move down to Florida to work in Disney hopefully I'll pick up some more. I'm sooo jealous about you being evacuated from Splash Mountain (My personal favorite ride)!!
    I love the Muppet Vision show too!! Not often do I meet someone else that likes Muppet Vision 3D
    All the attractions you chose are great, but Carousel of Progress though? :O
    I'm just kidding, I'm sure you've got a very respectable opinion about it

      I know- hard to believe in all of my years riding things all over the place I've only had a couple of evacs anywhere. And that's the only one at a Disney park.
      It was hard to narrow it down to 10, as there are so many great attractions. Carousel of Progress was one that we would do almost every trip, so certainly one that all of us enjoyed. it's a great big beautiful tomorrow...

    Lucky!! I've always wanted to be evacuated from Splash Mountain its my favorite attraction of all time. I bet if it ever happened I'd disappear and become one with the mountain😂😂. My top 10 probably always changing but in no particular order for now it stands at:
    10: The Grand Fiesta Tour with the Three Caballeros
    9: Tower of Terror
    8: Mr Toads Wild Ride
    7: Space Mountain
    6: Country Bear Jamboree
    5: Spaceship Earth
    4: Dinosaur
    3: Pirates of the Caribbean
    2: Haunted Mansion (interchangeable with pirates)
    1: Splash Mountain
    Probably forgetting a ton others like Roger Rabbit, Everest, The Tiki Room And Carousel of Progress just miss the list.

  • @norienne
    @norienne 7 років тому

    I'd agree with your opinions on the changes to Pirates if they hadn't already changed it so much. Originally it was a bit darker and more realistic and was intended as a moral tale that clearly showed that no good came of piracy, but with the addition of Jack Sparrow and such all that went out the window. Now that it ends with Jack surrounded by treasure, piracy is shown as more fun and rewarding, so I think removing other problematic elements makes sense.
    Completely agree on Storybook Land Canal Boats, though. It and Casey Jr. are tragically underrated and the Storybook Land miniatures are the best part of the park in my opinion.

      Fernando Gallegos No, he meant the one in California Adventure was changed. The one in Disney World at Hollywood Studios is still Tower of Terror. One was doing better than the other when it came to visitors, and the California Adventure Tower was much smaller. Disney noted it was in the way of where they wanted to start building up a Marvel theme in California Adventure and decided to change it.

    I got evacuated from "Journey to Inner Space" at Disneyland. It was a ride that you set in and road around in chairs like the Haunted House, and get "shrunk to the size of atom".
    It was replaced by Star Tours.

      And you could actually see the old "shrinking gun" in the original Star Tours as well. I remember Journey to Inner Space from my childhood.

      SirWillow I never realized the srink gun was in the original star tours. I was a teenager (Living about 30 minutes from Anaheim) when they converted the ride, and I was sad. I was a book/science nerd, son I loved Journey to Inner Space.

    4) Tower of Terror (WDW) - Not just a drop ride, but an absolutely incredible experience!
    5) Test Track - Very underrated thrill ride that is very fun and interactive
    6) Indiana Jones Adventure - Probably the best themed ride at any Disney theme park and an incredible experience!
    7) Avatar Flight of Passage - Extremely immersive and breathtaking! Absolute must-do!
    8) Rock n Roller Coaster - Extremely fun roller coaster with some awesome tunes!
    9) Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Absolute classic and my very first roller coaster!

    A few of my favorites (not necessarily in order)
    TTA Peoplemover
    Haunted Mansion (and Phantom Manor)
    Tower of Terror (Florida version)
    Rock & Roller Coaster (Florida version)
    Soarin' (original version)
    Space Mountain (I would give the California version the edge due to the onboard soundtrack, followed by the Florida version. The Paris version was just a head-banger)
    The Monorail (WDW system, at least when it's not packed like sardines)
    Buzz LIghtyear's Space Ranger Spin (I enjoy shooting rides. California and Paris were better than the Florida version, though I do have a spot for Take Flight as it was called when I first rode)
    The Disneyland/Disney World Railroad
    Jungle Cruise (though I've only ridden the Florida version)

    I honestly thought that Mr. Toads Wild Ride was about getting drunk, crashing your car, going to prison, and going to the underworld. Well that’s at least what I heard from other people on the internet.

    My top 5:
    Rock N Rollin Roller Coaster
    Tower of Terror
    The Haunted Mansion
    Pirates of the Carribean
    The Muppets 3D
    Who Wants to be a Millionaire was a fave too until they removed it. 😢
    My moms favorite rides are the haunted mansion and Mr. Toads...she was so disappointed when they removed it.
    I've never been to California to compare the two parks so all if these are WDW.

  • @bernebelmont1857
    @bernebelmont1857 7 років тому

    I'd have probably said Big Thunder Mountain because it's my favorite coaster and the first one i rode and liked, Maelstrom because of how unique it was, and the Haunted mansion because it was an amazing atmosphere, since i go to WDW,
    and with pirates i never really got that the change was from being PC, more trying to meld it with the movies since I think the new scene fits better with those, and it fits the whole "Pirates" thing well enough

    • @SirWillow
      @SirWillow  7 років тому

      +RedLighting256 Animation there have been 3 major changes to pirates. The first was a PC one, the most notable part changing the women to chase the pirates instead of vice versa. It was years later they added in the movie parts. And the moat recent one they are doing now is also a PC one.

    • @bernebelmont1857
      @bernebelmont1857 7 років тому

      yeah, for the first one i do agree that it was poorly handled, but i think the second is still pirate enough compared to that, so i'm more impartial to it

    In order from 1-10 in WDW only
    1. Rock n Roller Coaster Featuring Aerosmith
    2. Carousel of Progress
    3. Jungle Cruise
    4. Splash Mountain
    5. Peter Pans flight
    6. It’s a small world
    7. Pirates of the Caribbean
    8. The Peoplemover in Tomorrowland
    9. 7 Dwarfs Mine Train
    10. Haunted Mansion
    (I love all the rides at WDW except Primeval Whirl, that ride hurts)
    The first time I ever went on Rock n Roller Coaster I didn’t know what to expect so once it took off I stared crying and I need a tissue really bad. I yelled “Mom I need a tissue” and she obviously couldn’t get me one. So I had to hold everything coming out of my nose. Walk This Way was playing and now it’s my moms ringtone. Then the next year I rode it I think a total of 12 times. Sorry for the long post.

    I was also hesitant about the new Guardians makeover for Tower of Terror. I must say, it is amazing! It's a totally different feel, and a lot more welcoming to a lot of audiences! I'd say Guardians comes close, if not matches the amount of fun I had on Tower of Terror. I hope you get a chance to ride it!
