I had blepharitis few months ago. I got infected in a SPA treatment; the infection firstly hit one eye, so thatI went straight to the eye doctor - she prescribed me with an antibiotic + a cream to put in the eye few times a day. After 2 weeks the infection got to the other eye - the same eye doctor told me to do the same also for this eye, meaning cream in the eyes 3 times a day. After a month the situation was slightly better but not solved. The eye doctor told me that I'll have to have a surgery to remove the excessive "bubbles" on my eyelid. Scared of the surgery (4 days before that), I started to apply a mixure I created - Olive oil extra virgin together with coconut oil unrefined 100%. In 4 days, the bubbles and the infection went away. Additionally I presented myself at the doctor appointment, she checked my eyes and she sent me home :) Since that moment, I started to use my mixure at least twice a week. Blepharitis didn't come back since then. I highly recommend :)

I just recently developed blepharitis a few months ago, I believe it was caused by my eye makeup. I noticed the more I would wear eyeliner, after removing the liner, the lids along my upper lash line would swell. I’ve stopped wearing eye makeup for about 2 months now, and they’re still swollen. I’ve tried hot compresses, antibiotic spray, anti- swelling cream, and coconut oil. Nothing seems to make the stubborn swelling go away. I’m only 23 so I’m hoping that this isn’t something that I will be dealing with lifelong
I think you have made some really good attempts at solving this. So well in fact that you have me convinced that you should see an eye doctor to evaluate. I do not think this is something you will have for life. It has a cause. You need to find out what it is and get it taken care of sooner than later. An eye doctor should be able to diagnose and treat. Hope this helps and good luck. Would love to hear how you make out.

Blepharitis is a symptom, not the diagnosis. There are no "blepharitis bacteria". If the cause is outside of the body, it can be bacteria, virus, parasite (e.g. demodex), fungus, or allergen. How can you actually cure the condition in such cases, when there is no systematic scientific detection of the cause? Every problem is "chronic" when you don't know how to analyze it.
It is no chronic you can heal yourself without drugs your body is amazing just believe thisss😏🤘 ua-cam.com/video/0Md9oWjgptY/v-deo.html listen to this subliminal it cured mine 🌌😌😍😍

I've been to the local eye Hospital complaining about hazy vision in one eye i was told i have blepharitis but I have none of the symptoms, flakey eyelashes, puffy eyelids or dry eyes. I've been using all the treatment's etc for three months now but I still have the blurry vision in my eye, is it possible I've been misdiagnosed ?
Dry eyes don't necessarily have noticeable symptoms. I noticed that the vision in my eyes is crystal-clear in the morning when they are rested and moist, but by the end of the day it's as if my left eye in particular requires a new eyeglass prescription due to lack of tears, and becomes "hazy", as you described. My night vision is such that l can't drive at night. Artificial tears are of some use, though minimally. So, l don't think you've necessarily been misdiagnosed, if that's any reassurance.
I would continue seeing your eye care provider on a regular basis until you find what works best for you. Remember that this tends to be a chronic condition, and what may work for others may not be the best advice for you. Your eye doctor may be able to tell if something has changed or improved even if you haven't noticed any change. Hope this helps.
Blepharitis is a symptom of many potential causes. It's a misleading umbrella term, because "blepharitis" by itself is not a diagnosis, it's just a symptom of yet un-diagnosed cause. There's no such thing as "blepharitis bacterium" or "blepharitis virus". Yes, sometimes just "cleaning" the eye is the solution. Especially if the oil glands in your eyelids GRADUALLY became more active. But if the infection just developed almost overnight, and your doctor just tells you to clean your eyes for the rest of yourslife, because "it's a chronic condition" - then your doctor is most probably misdiagnosing your condition. You, the patient, are an expert in your body. The doctor most probably does not take the time to listen carefully to your story of how it all started, and to ask questions if necessary. Instead, he/she just tells you "use this antibiotic ointment". Why? Did he test your eyes at all for bacteria? Can he he specify the exact suspicious bacterium that was found? Was it tried in the lab to eliminate the bacterium that was found with the antibiotic he was trying to give you (there are new resistant strand that appear all the time). The answer to all questions is most probably not. He does not even know that it is a bacterium at all. He is just hypothesizing. Giving in this case some generic antibiotic is most probably as useful as telling you to eat two packs of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Don't be fooled by doctors' baseless self confidence. If the infection started almost overnight, and you lived for years without it prior to the infection - insist on scientifically testing all known causes: bacterium, virus, parasite (e.g. demodex ), fungus, or allergen. Try to think which group is more probable based on how and where you got it.

I found out i had blepharitis after LASIK. I'm almost 5 months post op and blepharitis haven't disappeared but is a little better. I use cod liver oil and a product similar to the one you showed in the video. Wanted to ask if coconut oil on the eyelashes will help as I've read it helped many people. Thanks
Thanks. I mistakenly did a urine eye wash and have had these itchy eye &, eyelids ever since. Any recommendations?
Don't do urine eye wash... but there was a video that said coconut oil for a minute and washing eyes fixed it.

Would eating salmon in EVOO be as good as the fish oil pills?
I've seen videos of people using Apple cider Vinegar on their lids to clean but sounds like it would hurt and not sure if it's a great idea. Curious to know if you have heard or seen examples of this ACV working.
Derek - Great thought! I think of ACV benefits like fat loss, blood pressure and blood sugar normalization. I have not heard of it, but I know that ACV has antimicrobial properties. So I would think that it would at least help. Very interesting indeed. I hope others may chime in on this thought process. I should say I wouldn't try putting it in the eye. I think that could cause some irritation.
Dang, I’m trying that right now. I have battled this every few months for 4 years since moving to SW FL. Spend a lot on Thera Tears spray and ocusoft pads. I may use all three to save some money
@@dawnjenney5519 Not sure if this will help you but I've been doing some research and have come to the conclusion that rosacea and blepharitis typically go hand in hand. This being said it's likely due to your gut. If you have IBS/SIBO/IBS/Leaky Gut it's very likely this is what's causing it

My optician told me to use warm compress even tho it's anterior? Is that gonna do anything? I do have somewhat dry eyes apparently.
Why would someone have red/orange around the pupil (that might appear and go away)? Could you link or have a video on it?

I was told I had bleparitis and had no issue with dry eyes, just an infection. I was told to heat compress as hot as u can bear it and use baby shampoo to clean yr eyes 2 x a day. Then had dry eyes! Wat the hell. Stopped doing I was doing, got not dry eyes back during the day. But just night time now dry eyes. Been awhile, hopefully comes right
This was good info.
I think I was misdiagnosed though..I get swelling, itchy, a bit of scaly on one eyelid. But it's not on eye lash. Its above tear duct.. I just bought the ocusoft lid cleansers. My question is wouldn't this be a tear duct obstruction or infection? As opposed to blepharitis? *have had this for 2.5 months now...😥

sea salt in water then drop or spray in , works well. and for infection
Can it be Cod liver tablets? or fish oil only?
On seeing your video,I realised my son had blephritis .He is 27 yrs old and has this tendency since childhood .
I shall tell him to follow things I learnt from this video.
He had pretty good eyelashes originally but has lost them as he doesnt take treatment for his condition promptly instead removes the white flakes on the line where the lashes are attached to the eyelids.
Once the blephritis us treated and gone ,will his eyelashes come back n how?
I am aware that castor oil is useful to get the eyelashes back but dont know how it can be used.
Kindly suggest how

Hi Doctor Hayden: I was diagnosed with demodex blepharitis a week ago but have had two styes and redness sunce mid October. Last month and two eye doctors I saw never told me I had DB. I have pain, itching, swelling total discomfort. I've never experienced this before. The last doctor told me to use Avenova and tee tree oil and prescribed me an anti inflammatory drop. This has helped but has not rid the problem. I was told to get Xdemvy. I am scared to use this drop due to it being so new on the market and possible adverse effects. Any suggestions?
Hydrochloride =spray
Thankful

I have tried Ocu soft with no help. I have also used the warm compress used in the microwave, also baby shampoo. All with no good outcome. I’m using Cenqua drops twice a day. Been on this for six weeks with no help. It’s $100.00 for a 30 day supply with insurance. Very frustrating.
Iv had it...since I can remember...
Apparently Cod liver oil helps
Am having this sicknesses but the medicine given to me by doctors but there is no improvement so far am even scared
Hello Dr Hayden, just a quick question. What if you just have inflammation and you've used dexafree eye drops and softcort drops and still no change?
Hi Anna Maria,
With you already on those medications, I would expect good results. I think a follow up with your doctor is in order. I don't like to guess, and In this case I would be. Sorry I can't be of more help on this. Good Luck!

Sebboraic bhleparitis life ling condition?
Hi i have been suffering from blepharitis. I tried warm warm compress antibiotic ointment. Nothing helped. Please advise thanks
