Hello Helene, how interesting, even though accidental! A new puppy dog, how wonderful, ours is 15 now, working border collie, I don't know if we will be having another. could we see a picture of your fur babies sometime? We are expecting lots of snow here next, love to you, take great care ❤❤
Hi Susan! How lovely seeing you. Nice you found the dyeing interesting too! I always loved science class in schoo! I’ll be introducing Ruby soon, and her story. We also have 2 other dogs. Our sweet Lucy will be 15 next month. Red Australian Cattle Dog. All 3 are herders. We love the working breeds! SO intelligent! Had a Border Collie x McNab. She was amazing too. 😍
p.s. Hope you do okay with the snow. Be safe out there! We got a couple inches last night. Expecting 3-5” today. That’s actually good, we need it. ❄️☃️❄️
Looking forward to seeing your dogs, I also love the workers, big hugs until next video, look after yourself. 🐺🐺🐺🐺
How is the new puppy? And happy New year!
She’s doing great! Settling in nicely. Wondering personality and funny too! Happy New Year! 🎊
انا معجب كثيرا لقناتك استمر هذا ممتاز جدا 🎉
Thank you so much!! 😊
Hello Helene, Happy New Year! How are you? I'm so amazed at your story, and how that occurred. I lost it when you said, "it was crunchy". 😂 Any time you post a new video, I am eager to find it. Sometimes, one gets by me, nevertheless I still get a chance to see it. It's great to see you again. I finally received my Puzzle Yarn from Herschners, and have begun working on my Vista Scarf. Thank you for the pattern, I love it! Have a truly wonderfully blessed day! 💖🙋🏽♀️🎉
Happy New Year to you!! I hope all's well. I'm having a little extra R & R, after a small set-back the other day. I was going to email, let you know I'll have your bag mailed soon. 😃 You warm my heart so much, knowing you look forward to my videos. I didn't do a thing with my hair and face; but hey, that's me, unplugged! 😜 Woo-hoo your yarn came! Always exciting! Fantastic you've started your scarf already. Yay! I'm so happy you're enjoying the pattern. Have a beautiful and blessed day, yourself. It's snowing here! ☃️
Hi Helene, I enjoyed reading about your accidental yarn-dyeing adventure, even though it didn't last. I think that's where most dyes came from, from nature and trying different things to see if they would work. I've never tried to dye yarn, I don't think I will, I'm sure i would just create a big mess, I'll leave that to the experts. That's a pretty picture behind you, looking at nature through your window, it's beautiful. It snowed here all day off and on, we didn't get a lot but we're to get more here over the weekend into next week. Have a great weekend and enjoy the new puppy Helene!
I think so too, from nature. Then scientists try to replicate for chemical alternatives. I prefer going natural as possible. Although I do enjoy a good acrylic yarn! I agree, dying does look like a big mess; but I don’t plan on at large scale. Just a few to experiment and learn. We had some nice snow yesterday and last night. Maybe about 5” total. Already compressing this morning. I’ll introduce Ruby, our pup, soon. Share her story. 🐶 Have a great weekend!

That is a cool story about the black beans. Maybe you could find some kind of a fixative for it because it really did look good on your green yarn. I found the yarn dying article and printed it out and I'm going to read it. Thanks, and have a Happy New Year!
I'm glad you got a kick out of it too! One person comments that mordant will set the color, when used before rinsing. So I might try it again, with the right yarn too. So fantastic you found the article! I hope you'll find it as interesting as I did. Thanks so much for letting me know. A wonderful and happy new year, to you too. 💗💗💗
Interesting. I attempting dying with flower petals and berries once - not very successful but I am using the yarn in a current project.
That’s very interesting too! Especially flower petals. Nice you’re still able to use the yarn. Wish you could post it to UA-cam.
Try using a mordant to set your dye before you rinse it. There are a lot of good videos out there.
Great info! Thank you so much!
Who knew,,, dying with beans,,, didn’t the Indians use beans etc to dye🤷♀️ seems like I have read that somewhere,, what a great thing to experiment with…you go girl!!!🎉👏👏❤❤
I figured, anything that accidentally stains clothes, might work! Definitely intrigued me to try again. I wouldn't be surprised about Indians using them; since they create so many beautiful works of art, with colors from nature.
Hi we are getting snow for the first year it’s late for us well actually it snow October to march but this is January 5 on Sunday we going to get about 10 inches maybe more
Well hello, Paula! I was thinking of you recently. What a wonderful surprise to see your comment. I truly hope all been well with you. Wow, 10 inches is a lot at once! I hope not more than can be managed okay. We go 5" Friday through Saturday. I'm glad, we need it. Take good care, and thank you. 💖
@ I been thanking about you to and I been so sick for 2 weeks but I’m a lot better now thank you for thanking of me
@@paulalatham1266 Oh my. I'm so sorry you've been sick; but very thankful you're on the mend now. That winter storm looked like a whopper. I hope you're staying warm, cozy, and safe.
@ thank you yes I am very warm we got 5 or more inches
But that's acrylic which really doesn't dye well so that's a good experiment for wool
I agree, and did mention later in the video that it’s not really the yarn for it. Something I’d like to try again in a bare, natural fiber. Using beets and berries too! 🫐
