    We provide a premixed conservation grade acrylic lacquer (Paraloid™ B-72) which can be used for preserving and enhancing the finish of artefacts and coins recovered whilst metal detecting or mudlarking.
    It can also be used for coating finds containing glass (incl. matrix seals) as it can help to prevent glass disease due to the coating providing a hermetic seal. The same applies to bronze finds and the prevention of bronze disease.
    We offer small premixed quantities of 50ml, 100ml and 150ml in 3%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% ratios, providing a cost effective, quick and easy method for Metal Detectorists and Mudlarkers to Enhance, Preserve and Protect their precious finds. The lower 3% solution is recommended by the Portable Antiquites Scheme (PAS) as the minimum level of protection.

    Another great vid Dan, I will say always try and remove any access off the brush before applying and build up the finish in layers. You'll use far less product and get even better results. I worked as a specialist decorator and restorer for a while and the same technique applys to artwork and furniture alike 👍

    Nice video again mate. Have looked on the site of arteseal and what might be useful to know or mention is that when people outside the uk if they order the product,is shipped as a self-manufacturing kit because otherwise it may not be shipped.But otherwise a nice and good explanation in the video. Greetings ferdinand

    Many thanks for the most interesting video DD. I tried a very similar product on a George111 2d Cartwheel coin. Wow! What a transformation it was! All the best, cheers, John.

    very intersting! I enjoyed reading your reply that lower percentages are available, for a more natural look. I was wondering about conservation and your video is very illustrative. I am also curious about cleaning - I suppose different metals might require different care? not sure if you already have a video on that. thank you!

      No problem mate, you can just clean the brush off in a little acetone 👍

    Should the coin be completely clear of dirt before adding paraloid? I have a few bronze coins with a bit of corrosion and dirt still stuck on dificult to reach places. Could I just coat it with paraloid like this? If not, how can I safely remove the corrosion and dirt without affecting the patina? I would love to hear your (Dan and all who reads this) opinions and idea's!

      I would suggest going to Cleaningpencil.com and getting one of their composite Cleaning Pencil kits. That paired with Arteseal is all you need for Cleaning. Check out my video for Cleaning coins with the pencils 👍

    Just bought some Dan after seeing our video, have you had chance yet to try the lower percentage on coins or you sticking with the 10%?

    • @DiggerDanMetalDetecting
      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting  3 місяці тому +1

      I'm thinking of getting the 3% for coins as I think it might not give so much of a shine on the smoother surfaces. Not had chance to try it yet though 😊

      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting I will give it a whirl once I'm home from work in a few weeks, wasn't a fax of the wax like you mentioned

      @chrissumner325 you will love it 👌. Its so easy to use, and if you're not happy and want to try again, you can just remove it with acetone 👍

    It’s great on artefacts to make them stand out,
    It’s terrible on coins imo, it’s too fake looking for a coin
    It would be better if it came with a product to clean the brush afterwards

    • @DiggerDanMetalDetecting
      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting  4 місяці тому +1

      To be honest, the 10% is a little high for coins etc, but that's the lowest I had to hand. You can get it in as low as 3% which would have a lot less shine and be perfect for coins 👍

      It’s not a cheap product, so by adding brush cleaner to the product pack you will push even higher

    • @DiggerDanMetalDetecting
      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting  4 місяці тому +1

      Does it say that it can't be shipped to Australia? Because overseas sales are OK, but it is sent as a self mix kit so that there are no chemicals being sent 👍
