I always had to wait until Christmas to get past heat games but I was probably excited for the new unlockable paint schemes the most and this is what I really wanted to see the most.
14:46- He literally did what Cindric did in real life. The funny thing about it was that it at the same part of the track and it was the same driver that he did it to. Him wrecking is what should’ve happened to Cindric after dumping Kaz.
Not a fan of some of these made up challenges. Definitely a bigger fan of the Highlight Challenges from the EA and Eutechnyx games. Real-life scenarios and Eutechnyx had telemetry (which was a bit buggy) and multiple challenges per race.

I understand that what he did was last minute, but you seriously couldnt change a fucking *character model* ? Its not like theyre rewriting the crash and draft physics or tire wear (which, should have been fixed by now too), its a character model. Even just "generic white guy placeholder #46253" wouldve worked better than that. Also, minor gripe, but what the fuck are these trophies? A tire, seriously? Where are the real trophies for these tracks? Wheres Miles the Monster? Wheres the Championship trophies? Another problem is how the tracks function. To quote WindVOW (A.K.A. Michael Cosey), imagine using the dog leg and not gaining a single second of time on anyone. At the road coarses, there are spots where you can cause cautions and gain track position if youre lucky and do it right. The curbs send you flying into the air, and the number system for your cars is absolutely arbitrary. In NASCAR Thunder '04, getting even a small boost would give you 2 to 3 tenths of a second, which is *everything* in motorsports, especially NASCAR. But in the Heat series, going from 85 to 90 means fuck all. Sometimes cautions come out at random for no reason (I remember one time where Matt DiBenidetto suddenly fell 20 spots while right in front of me, and nothing had happened to him) and there's no replay to see what happened, or a way to set them the way you want outside of "infrequent" or "frequent" which isnt very helpful. Same with "strict and relaxed" cautions; they feel the exact same. The challenges are wayyyyy too easy, and the "wreckfest" ones don't even look real at all. How anyone defends this series after this long, with all the missteps and problems 704 has had with this series, I don't know. Even NASCAR CFTC was better than this, and that game had a bullshit apron that made you spin after a certain speed. I don't understand how 704 can continue to peddle these sub-par games to anyone despite how shitty they are. The only things I liked about 5 were the way the cars looked and customizing your character. Im not buying 6, 7, or any others they put out, because I shouldnt have had to wait this long for a good modern NASCAR game that isn't iRacing.
I'm 1st in standing in championship mode down to the last track at Phoenix with 5 top contenders with the same points as me. The same track a ran before and came in 15th place. I'm worried i won't win the championship, that one last race will determine the championship winner. Phoenix is a tough track to run even though it looks simple it is not even with a good car. Every time a qualify i can't get past 10th place position, then go back to practice and qualify again... danm it.
The reason the roval was so hard is because you didnt have the damage to use to your advantage, however you did door slam truex to destroy the evidence.

If you'll do 16 sec, restart the challenge, you'll lose by a car or less

I need help on the Roval challenge, dirt track 7 lap challenge & the Keselowski Charlotte challenge. I think these are too hard. The Natalie Decker one seems to have unfair RNG on your pit times.
That team building in Career mode is a joke and misleading. I was really hoping to add other drivers and build a legit team. Also why is it that the only racing game to have drivers retire and have rookies entire and have them take over cars is Nascar Thunder 04. Blows my mind that 16 years later that cant do this

Can I just ask, have you considered that the devs might have bribed you with Fanatec equipment to do these videos for Heat 5 in a positive light? How do you know it was Fanatec that sent you these as a gift? Did Fanatec receive any payment for sending you that stuff from the game's devs do you know? I know you have mentioned the odd minor bug in Heat 5 before (wheel trims) in your videos but what about the DNF feature not working, matt paint not working, and all the career crashes people are experiencing, several controls not being accessible to people who dont use controllers etc, and even button mapping control not being accessible to wheel users? And what about the general lack of new features over Heat 4 considering the full price of the new game? No comments about any of these things?

I don't get how people do the Wreckfest challenges lol. I never completed the Michael Annett one on Heat 4 and so far I can't do this one.
