Great video 👌🏻. I've seen a few videos from America complaining about the kraits regulator being naff due to a lot of creep over time, from what you've demonstrated here it looks more like a plenum volume issue than a reg one 🤔. I am by no means an expert on the matter but you've done a brilliant job here 👍🏻
yes the vids in the US are what worried me but our one has been good, in the US they need the big plenum to get the power and i think over there lots of the problems come from trying to get to much power and running the reg well above the design pressures 👍
Interesting video - any reason you settled on aluminium and not delrin for the final plenum material? Good to see the settle time and overall performance get a slight improvement....makes it worthwhile :-) As for the new Airmaks pistol....my view is that they are asking for trouble....its obviously a take down katran and people will be running it over the 6ft lb limit - even the front end looks heavy for a pistol, so inviting the stock to be added. I haven't handled one yet....but I think people should tread carefully.
No reason other than we can really mate😁 yes the pistol is a neat little bit of kit but i think most will be putting the stock on and using it like a supper compact Katran 👍 the one in the vid is just a mock up but i would think it will have some sort of restriction built in but you know how that is 😳
So I've done my back in and with my time off I've been on a voyage of discovery by binge watching all of the videos on the channel, ( loved it). A subjective question I have is out of all the guns reviewed and tinkered with which one comes out as No1, criteria of compact, bottle fed, ease of maintenance / tinkering, quality and accuracy? 🤔👍🏻
Hi, I love your videos, very informative, followed your HW100 one to replace all the o-rings and set the Reg, I've just got an air arms S410 but it is only putting out 9.5 ft lbs, have you done a video on the S410 as I can't see it but I might have missed it. Cheers Keep up the good work 👍
Just a thought. Did you chronograph the 410 with 10.34 (assuming it’s 177) JSB heavy all the way down below 150 bar cylinder pressure? My experience with H&N whatever at 190 bar will be nowhere near to 12 ftlbs. This doesn’t apply if it’s been fitted with a reg but be careful with the power curve. In my experience even Bisley Mags in either calibre don’t produce the same power as JSB. Apologies if non of this applies, it was just my observation with mine.
Hi Charles, my gun is. 22 and was using air arms 15.8 grain was using the FX Chrono and only getting 9.5 ft lbs, I may be wrong but think its pretty low, it is a second hand gun and apparently had been sitting doing nothing for a while, was thinking about putting a Reg into it, what's your thoughts on that,? Have you done it? Cheers for the reply Stevie
@@stephenhamill8907 I had an S410 classic in 22. Mine sat unused for a long time and when I came to use it it was very low on power and very inconsistent. I watched some videos about it on YT and stripped it down. Fortunately it was pre anti tamp so was very easy to do. It was the lubricant on the hammer slide and the spring that had congealed. After cleaning with brake cleaner and then applying a very small amount of oil and wiping most of it off to leave a tiny film it came back to life better than new. It had quite a power curve but gave me over 150 shots at over 10 ft lbs on one tank. At 30 yards POI was very good from a full fill to what I deemed ready for a fill. If you pick the best part of the curve you can get very good results without a regulator and in my opinion it’s not necessary. As far as I can see every regulator on every air rifle is problematic at some point and will need servicing. Not to mention the dry firing after leaving the gun unused for a while to get it to settle in again. The old AA system is extremely good (for sub 12 ) and very reliable. I would just service it and leave standard but if you like tinkering have a go at a reg. It was many years ago when I did mine and I think there was only one video about it but now you are spoiled for choice. Good luck with it.
@@ctom4103 yeah I was looking on UA-cam and have seen that it is a good idea to strip and clean, this is probably the road I'll go down first, only problem I see having is the anti tamper but have watched to see how to remove the plugs so will give it a go. Thanks for all the help Stevie
Hi If you don’t mind my friend, I want to ask you about one problem I faced with my two karit Which is they are not grouping at all in any kind of ammunition Oh, and also the velocity change for example if I fill the bottle 300 bar and give me different velocity of 250 bar and also different velocity of 200 bar so on I already contact the company and they give me some advice and it doesn’t work so if you can or if you have an idea, please let me know. I would be appreciated.
very nice mate . i guess a lot of these rifles are geared for hi power but throttled back for the uk market 👍 . now have you ever done an new air arms s510 t . only ask as mine is a bit low on power even with the screw wound out a tad not much shoots at about 11 lbs . i just wondered how tricky it was to tweek the reg and there is no info on the newish 7 reg in the air arms on the inter web
@@sub12airgunners great news buddy. I shall keep my eyes peeled. I've gone. Huma reg/digi gauge. Awesome rifle but large plenum means slow recover at sub 12
So your basically making a dedicated Sub12 gun rather than an FAC gun turned down. Great work. 👌👌
Spot on that is the idea a sub 12 gun for sub 12 use
brilliant result,
AirMaks take note!!
Thank you, and that is the nice thing about Airmaks they do 👍
Quality bit of work Jeff!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
Thank you
You two should be the first port of call for any company wanting to bring full power designs down to sub 12, great work as always!
Thank you, we do like them to be proper sub 12 not just choked fac guns
@@sub12airgunners definitely, imagine that! 😁
Amazing work as usual fellas ❤

Great upgrade and fantastic result👍🏼
