My AirMaks Krait grows a second bottle!

- Thanks to the fine team(s) at AirMaks Arms and CDRGuns, I’ve been able to be the first to fit the Katran’s double-bottle adapter to my Krait. They sent through a second 300CC carbon fibre bottle, a yolk (double bottle mount) and two O-rings.
In this video I show you how I fitted it, requiring only a few Allen keys and some silicone grease I conveniently had at hand thanks to Masood at Eaglevision…
Some brief instructions via WhatsApp and I was good to go… first task (chore) was safely draining the pressure, which I’d only recently topped up to 290bar.

Oddly enough I’m trying to decide on a Krait or Katran in FAC. For me weight is the biggest factor and both these come in at 5.5lbs without scope etc and these, with their diminutive size are perfect backpackers. My main permission is the other side of the road so no car is involved and what I take to the farm is in my backpack and age now limits what I’m prepared to carry. I think the Americans call them “woods walkers” and that is how I like to do things. I completely understand where you’re coming from and I see the logic of the set up you’re putting together but for me 9lbs is literally outside of my comfort zone. I have a BRK Ghost in FAC that is my long range tool for the job but it’s not the tool I need in other situations where light + portable is the name of the game. AirMaks certainly seem to have come up with some innovative stuff and I’m pleased you’ve got so involved with reviewing the brand.👍

For me size / weight is everything, and I absolutely love bullpups, so for me thanks to their engineering and performance, it's Krait or Krait Lite every time.
I'd only use the heavier twin-bottle set-up for a static pest control setup.

Hahaha maybe 🤭, but it's still compact / portable and will be perfect when I go for a .22" FAC Krait, which has been my idea all along. 🤓

Got admit im not a fan of twin bottle set ups.
Did you ever consider going with a 480cc bottle would be interested in seeing that on a compact.
This is more an experiment (I couldn't resist 🤓), as I intend to use them on a compact .22" FAC eventually.

Haha hardly -I simply left it for one week as a test, then after it passed I cracked-on with the rest of the testing/review. 🤓
