Another UA-cam mechanic with over 50 years of experience told me to stay away from them all. He also recommends a 1994 Toyota Celica constantly.
But it's got to be the base, small engine non gt model. Manual, silver. Otherwise endless money pit. No exceptions!
@@iHaveTheDocuments it's also gotta be $300 with 240k miles, otherwise it's trash

Instead of hearing/reading endless Mercedes 'horror stories', The Wizard makes an informed, rational comparison video based on his mechanical 'real world' experience ... THANK YOU !!
indeed!!

Right. Hes not giving his opinion, hes telling us what hes fixed on them
I love the car wizard but if you ask me does a mechanic in the middle of kansas have alot of mercedes experience? *chirp* *chirp* move to dallas if you want to learn about Porsche and Mercedes, they are everywhere.
Bought a 2005 S500 4Matic 10 years ago for $14k. It had 104k miles on the odometer. It now has over 200k miles on it and over the 10 year period, I spent about $5-6k in repairs including 2 or 3 sets of tires. $20k, 10 years, 100k miles driving an S500. I call that a deal.
I call that a steal!

I'm in the market right now for a 12-13 S550. Glad to hear of your great success, however you are telling us in almost 100k mi of ownership, you never had to replace the air suspension or pump? I hear they last between 75k - 100k.

Is a 2014 c300/350 4matic a reliable choice?
@@chiefhere1968yes avoid the 250 models. C250s have early turbo failures and timing chain problems. We had an 08 C300 which is the same engine in the 2014. Extremely reliable one issue. The only issue was thermostat. The car kept reading low coolant. Very common on this era of Benz

@@747-pilot ...I used to think that way, but The Wizard described some fine examples Mercedes has to offer. Realize that with proper care, most vehicles can last (I know, some are more costly than others) so just get what you want
@@paulmaartin No it won't. A shitty 94 Celica with 135 horsepower isn't even in the same league as the cars Wizard is talking about. Period. End of story.
@@747-pilot Toyota reliability is waaay overhyped. They have issues like every other car. A few years ago people were crashing and dying because Toyota was using defective accelerator pedals. So let's get our facts straight. "Reliable and durable as the sun that rises every morning" is a stretch. Is Toyota more reliable than Mercedes? Yes. There, I said it. Is Mercedes unreliable poorly-built German trash? Hard no. Only someone with absolutely zero knowledge about cars would be stupid enough to say that. As far as safety, Toyota doesn't even come close to matching Mercedes or any other European brand. European cars have a reputation for being over-engineered and that's true. They have a lot of gizmos that break and cost a lot to fix, but they also engineer the safest cars in the world. If you want safety, it has to be Mercedes or Volvo hands down. And Lexus figured out how to build luxury cars by copying Benz and BMW. Which is great for soccer moms and real estate agents. But for car enthusiasts, Lexus won't cut it. Bye.

I've owned an 06 E500 and currently have a 2013 S550. The 06 began to suffer from the brittle wiring issue and I got rid of it. On the S550 I've had to replace the front air ride for about $1600. These have been great cars. Big, fast, silent. My tip? always look for the last year of a model run. Most things have been perfected and you get a price break if the new model is out on the market.

Max Martin the AMG packages are mostly just aesthetically different (bumpers and such), and suspensions bits. I’m gonna say whatever that applies to the regular models should apply to the car with the amg package. Now amg VERSIONS are a completely different car.
cobrasvt347 You're*
Why did he not recommend the ml450? He only said the ml350 or ml550
@cobrasvt347 What's the better options in the CL class?
What about a GLA 250
You are bang on about the C Class. Went from a 2007 E Class to a 2017 C Class. Honestly, the new C Class is very similar to the old E Class. They really upgraded it as the CLA seems to have replaced the old C Class.
Thanks Car Wizard. Owned a 300E, E430 and a CLK500 (those M113 blocks are superb!), so I know the Mercedes experience. Just bought a 2008 C300 going on your recommendation. Happy miles ahead!
I am based in the UK and this is one of the best channels on UA-cam! Wizard is simple and straightforward in explaining stuff and has such a relaxed and calming voice. Best of all, I know which S to look for! Thanks chap.
I am from UK and I agree.
Casually replacing an air conditioner compressor in a Lambo.... this guy is awesome!👍
I have a 2011 E350 (not 4 Matic, less moving parts is good especially here in AZ) and its been a solid car so far! Spark plugs were a breeze to do myself too. Some things you have to take in to the dealer like changing the transmission fluid because it has to be put back in at a certain temp...but overall, I love this car!
Hey bud, same here, I have a mat black c350 2011, edition 1. Better car ever so far
I have a friend who is a top tech at the dealer, and he thinks that the W212 is the best E Class they have ever made. I'm still a bit ambivalent; having had to jack up the car, remove the fender lining just to replace the Windshield Washer tank, but I am keeping an open mind. I started out favoring my W210 E430 but now it is 50-50, so I guess the W212 is moving up ;-)
Came here mostly to get an opinion on the 07-13 S550.. but this guy got me paused at the 89-02 SL.. I own two 97’s… probably the best cars I’ve ever owned.. convertible top is not a problem. Spent $600 on hydraulic cylinder rebuild, did the replacements myself, pretty easy. Worst part is just the aged leather and plastics, but can’t really do anything about it, nothing lasts forever. Surprisingly good for a 25 year old car
My 2010 E350 rwd is currently clocking at 170,000 miles. No mechanical problems other than having serpentine pulley fail on me. No leaks of any type so far besides my washer fluid reservoir is shot so that doesn’t hold any liquid.
Hi, would you please comment on 2008 E350 with 165k miles on it, is this a “buy”’or “avoid”?
I just paid 2500 for a 2005 E500 4matic!!
I converted the air ride to struts and shocks and springs and no more leaking air. The car has 226,000 miles garage kept and meticulously serviced by the previous owner. Interior is all leather and in great condition. I'm very happy with my New, old, ride! Thanks for giving me the 411 on my car. I really appreciate everything you do here on your UA-cam channel. Sincerely JY
How's it running now?
IMO, if daily driver resale value is $3k but repair is $2k, I'd fix especially if the car is paid in full, beats another 3 to 5 years in car and higher insurance payments and or the risk in buying another used car. Bottom line, know your vehicles potential trouble spots and proactively address them. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance.
Exactly, just think of this as a $5k car. Some of the times it's actually worth it.
I bought an '03 lexus ES with 150K for $3400, and dumped far more into it than what I paid; suspension work, timing belt, things that wear out with that mileage. 2 years later, with 230K, it still looks and drives like a new car, minus a tear in the driver seat bolster. It's actually worth more than what I paid for it. The average ask for this car in far worse condition than mine is $4. Can't find any of these in the same condition for sale; there's tons of them on the road, and when I see one, I ask the owner how many miles. Almost always over 250K.
@@jamesb8305 You got a screaming deal! Never sell that car.
If the $2K repair bill was for a $3K Chevy Corsica, I might scrap it. A $3K Mercedes would be worth it.
You think $2000 is the end of the repairs? That $2000 is just the beginning. Being a Benz that constantly breaks, be prepared to spend a few more thousand dollars. Hemce why its called an endless money pit

I have a 2008 GL 450, just hit 170k miles. Timing chain is not an issue, they fixed it for the 2008 and on-wards engines. Air suspension is an issue, but if replaced with arnott air components, you get a lifetime warranty. All in all, if you can DIY it, its just maintenance that keeps the car going.

Thank you for this Mercedes-Benz review! In 2018 I had the opportunity to purchase a 2004 E320 with 126,000 miles on her at a very low price. Before I bought it Mercedes-Benz covered the replacement of the SBC Braking System and the Gas Tank through a Mercedes-Benz extended warranty. In the 5+ years that I've had the car I've had to do some maintenance to it almost every year but the car still drives and handles much better than a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. The Japanese do make very reliable cars but in my experience Mercedes-Benz and BMW automobiles are much more fun and engaging to drive. Thank you for your reviews they are much appreciated!
My W204 agrees with you completely! Running strong at 110k and the Masta Plasta was perfect to repair the busted MB-Tex seam. Thanks a million for that tip!
W204 are terrible cars to have in winter states. Salt will it the subframe in no time.

@@MV-nt4bq still loving it. No issues as of yet. Mostly garage kept. But i make a point to drive it weekly for a little (sunday driving). I hear that letting it sit too long will cause issues.
I’m an old truck guy, I have 8 of them, but I was just passed down a ‘93 400E and I’ve been really happy with it. Didn’t think I’d be into it very much but it still scratches my V8 itch and it doesn’t feel too fancy for me to where I don’t feel like myself. The more I learn about the cars, the more similarities I find between it and the 500E and honestly it’s really cool.
they’re extremely similar, in fact you can switch out the final drive ratio and get similar acceleration to the 500e… Also the SL500 despite what the wiz says is horribly undervalued, early models have the exact same engine as the 500e again with a different final drive ratio, and you can find good examples of them for literally less than half of what you can get an equivalent 500e for (meaning chances are the hydraulics are already done, and even if they go bad, you don’t have to replace them, you can send them to one of a number of specialists who will rebuild them for like $500 bucks in total).
Wizard, very good episode. you missed one very bad era for Mercedes, from 2006-2007 and some 08's, of any class 350 engines, there's a list of engine serial numbers available that have balance shaft problems; the shaft gear is made of the wrong material and it wears causing the chain to jump and destroy the engine. The warning sign is a CEL that won't clear and is related to timing. The fix is to pull the engine and change the shaft; about a $5k repair.
Keep up the good work.
How about the 2007 E550? I have one, but no problems with 200k runs like a champ besides the transmission control module went bad...
I must say Wizard. I have a 2001 C320 and a 04 E500. Both great cars! My c320 has 195k miles and still runs great. And it’s got some decent power. Only issue it’s given me was the fuel pump and crank shaft position sensor. Both easy and cheap fixes.
I have a c270 CDI of the same era, these were common taxis here in Europe. I've seen them with well over 1M KMS, and loads still roaming the roads to this day.
You’re not lying I heard People say bad things about Benz, never any good things, so I wanted a 2000-2005 s500 didn’t get it just bad timing. I landed a 2000 e320 wit 142k drove it to 189k no problems at all. Another old timer in traffic had a 98 e320 294k miles excellent car .

To add my two cents, I own a 01 s500. It’s had its fair share of problems but it’s genuinely the best car I’ve ever owned. It’s got amazing speed, comfort, and it’s decently sporty. Can keep up with modern cars, sports or otherwise in both function and speed. But like this wonderful video mentioned, you’ll 100% have issues you never thought would happen due to the electrical components. When I first got my car, shortly after it went into limp mode. I took it to Mercedes and a few other shops who all tried to charge me 6k for a new transmission. Luckily I kept looking around because my now go to shop looked at it for a day and said the transmission just needed to be recoded. Paid 1k and the car drove like new. If you ever get an s class from these years, expect the pse pump(soft close) to go out, at least 1 airbag suspension to go out(1k a corner), ABS light will probably turn on, etc. They just get problems with age. Luckily there is an amazing forum that will always answer you within the day about any problems or questions you have and can probably tell you exactly what you need to do to fix it. If you have the means to, I’d highly recommend an s class from this gen.
I have a 2008 gl420 since 2014. No big issues. Various wheel parts wore out. Three of four suspension bag/struts needed replacing. Outside of wheels maybe 2 sensors in total and that has been it on mechanical items. Had a power drain on bluetoooth controller and water leak on glass roof.
Owner of a 2017 c300, had a valve break but that was as soon as I got it. That was a year ago and I bought it used but flawless and very luxurious since then. Also dad has a 2015 s550 and has been flawless.
I would point your attention to om 642 engine. It's a 3 litre V6 turbo with enough torque. In Europe we can get this engine in the facelifted w211 and the w204 with a 6 manual.I have driven one quite a lot. It's a cracking car, with smooth shifts and a huge amount of low end torque.
2007 GL450. Now 164k.Everything works, Loads of room in the 3 rows of seats. Replaced front air shocks, repainted left rear fender (clearcoat was coming off) and the occasional light bulb. Looks great, pleasure to drive. I use liqui-moly in the engine coolant and oil (just me). Highly recommend Michelin tires. Cons: uses premium and gets 14-18 mpg.

Hi, looking at a used 2008 R320 AMG 4matic diesel package w/200k miles. It is in mint condition. Asking price is $3,800.
What are the major issue for ownership in the U.S.? Are they reliable or am I buying a Pandora's box?
Thank you for any and all advice!
@@who8dapple research “black death” for MB Diesels. Mine was the CDI, non bluetec. For $3800? Buy it! Theyre worth it all day and for that price?..youl be in a positive equity position. The CDI was in the E320 for only 2yrs in the states due to regs. They’re bullet proof!

@@myGseven no, but i see it every day as my neighbor bought it. Its going strong. I actually just said the other day I want to buy it back…BADLY! Its design, the reliability???..i mean, theyre taxis and PD cars in other nations. Super durable!
I had 2006 C230 Spport and I drove that car for 14 years and daily driver. That was great car and loved it .
with regards to the pre-facelift e-class they had big problems with the sbc pumps and they are the ones that should be avoided. the later facelift model had essentially none to minimal known problems. the suspension bushes wore out quicker than normal but that's about it. the diesel engines especially the early straight 6 and the later v6 diesels were bulletproof. very well equipped very comfortable and surprisingly good on fuel.
Hi, what year models are you pertaining? Thanks!
@@Nver91hes pertaining to the w211 07-09 diesels. Post facelift.
MB extended the warranty of the SBC till 2030. Have there been failures? Absolutely. Have there been braking failures in other autos? Absolutely. The fact of the matter lies with the notion that MB crated a system that wasn't measurable for wear and therefore had to implement a questionable means of using an activation counter limit. In almost all cases one can use a simple diag tool to fetch the current SBC activation count to get an idea of approximate state of the SBC. The v6 diesels have not shown the track record that the inline ones have: the om647 in Sprinters (same as the om648 less a cylinder) have racked up tons of miles- they are workhorses; the v6 engines are swamped with emissions crap. "Bulletproof" is NOT a word that should be used to describe the v6 diesels: if utilized an maintained correctly they are good engines but they're not in the same league as the inline ones.
Hmm, the early model gasoline engines don't have the balance shaft gear issues that the later m112/m113 are known for. I think that's worth factoring in too.
I owned my W203 for over 3 years and it was really good and reliable car. Its got OM611 220cdi 105kw almost no money spent on engine only maintenance like glow plugs oil ang belt. Only thing that keeps breaking is the motors directing air vents. Its easy fix but takes a bit longer to dismantle the dasboard. Otherwise its really cheap to maintain almot bullet proof. Bigest downside is rust which can be prevented if you choose healthy one to start with. The interior looks dated and maybe cheap but does not creak as much as newer cars.
Jep one of the last good mercedes.. same for e class back then..
The face-lift from 2003 to 2007 does not have an issues with Rust.
Which year?
I got an 02 ML320. Has 203000 miles on it in perfect condition except for the hitch cover plate one of the tabs broke. Amazing reliable vehicles. Best part is I only paid 500 dollars for it.
I drive a 2001 c200 kompressor, currently sitting on 270,000kms, no issues so far besides sway bar linkages. Thats my cheap daily benz and i must have gotten lucky with it because its been great and held up good inside and out. My other car is a 1978 w116 280se, that too is a gem, although starting to get a little tired haha!
My mom had a pre DI injection C350 and liked it so much she replace it with a facelifted model in the same color when the first one. I never thought they were better than an Accord or Camry let alone an IS350. The second one developed an expensive issue with the keyless igntion that required a dealer to solve.
Great video ! But you will preferrably want a facelifted W212 E class in that middle category: the 550 is a V8 powerhouse and perfect as a sedan or coupe if you want to spoil yourself (no need for an AMG) 😀! Otherwise the 400 V6 is a smooth and subtle engine for a more practical wagon ...

I lived in Germany when I was in the Air Force and bought a new C-230 Sport back in 2004. I picked it up from the factory in Stuttgart. I kept it for around 7 years and had almost no issues at all. The cam shaft adjustment solenoids leak around the o-rings and the plug that connects to the transmission leaks. The solenoids were about $45 bucks each and are held on by 3 bolts. The transmission plug was around $10 bucks and only had one little screw. I always changed my own oil with Mobile 1 and did a drain and fill on the transmission fluid. I had no other issues with it the whole time. I put quite a few miles on it too. We traded it for a for a new C-250 Coupe in 2012 and we still have that car. I also get the base versions without all the upgrades so there is less electronic stuff to break. They are solid cars if you take care of them. I wouldn't trust the new ones as much though.
2007 c230 is a good car if you stay away from the turbo model. I get around 30 miles per gallon on the highway doing 60 mph. Smooth engine and it was taken care of. Much depends on maintenance. The later model 2007's are not bad at all.
I actually had a w203 c class with the 2.0 kompressor for a few years. It had only 1 problem-the godawful ESP. It worked only for 3 moths and that's it, nothing helped. Otherwise it was really cheap to keep and was surprisingly nice on the highway. With a set of more sporty tires and wheels and coilovers ,she cornered quite nicely.
I had the 220 cdi from 150k km to 250k km .. never had any issues
Almost everything you recommended is too new for me to even consider lol! I’d be interested in a video like this that covered “Budget German cars” like $3000 under 1985-2000, those are the cars that interest me and that I can afford to buy and work on myself. I have a 1989 CE 300 and a 1991 420 SEL, paid $1,200 for the coupe and $500 for the S-Class, both need some work but parts are darn near as cheap as for an old Ford or Chevy and they are super easy to work on.
I actually had an 05 e500 4matic, it was a great car, comfy, reliable, and pretty quick. Sadly she was totaled in when a car rear ended me. I miss that car a lot, it was amazing.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss I'm actually considering buying one tomorrow hence why I'm watching this video id love to hear your feedback and experience
@@tituscampbell1628 I was a great car, pretty reliable and very comfortable. I thought it was fun to drive. Just get one with good service records and low mileage if possible. Take care of it and it should be fine for years to come! I still daily a Benz today, and if that car hadn’t been so good I probably would’ve gone American or Japanese
Thanks for your words of wisdom Wizzard! I was looking at the SL500, as I like sporty coupes; but don't want these convertible top issues. Can't imagine getting spraying with oil out of the blue!
He wrong about that actually… Not that it’s not a problem, but he’s listing the price to fully replace all of the hydraulics, when in reality you can just get them fixed for like $500 and a day’s worth of work if your even remotely handy with a wrench or if you have a friend that knows his way around a car (don’t go to a dealer). On top of that they also come with a hardtop that looks amazing and actually stiffens the entire chassis when it’s installed… In exchange you get the same motor/drive-train from a 500E (minus the final drive ratio) a car that’s selling for upwards of $80,000 in good condition while an R129 SL500 In pristine condition is going for $30,000 at the absolute highest, and you can find great condition ones for as low as $10,000… These cars are horribly undervalued compared to what they offer, if you can find one that’s in good condition and or has had the hydraulics already done and is low mileage I’d buy it, I have a funny feeling that people are going to start to catch onto these in the near future.
2010 E350 - bought with 150k and full service history, I know who maintained it for the last 8 years. Owned for 2 years now with another 20k. Fantastic car for £4k.
@@SnazzySki98 if it really was that cheap, a lot of it is the 150k mi, probably non sport, not optioned out, and possibly private sale. Just guessing
@@RothBeyondTheGrave Private sale through my mechanic who did the service work on it as soon as the dealer warranty was up for the last 8 years. Its the E350 AMG Avant Garde so it's pretty specd up. The vast majority of the of the mileage was 88k on the motorway everyday to an office and back so ideal mileage for a V6, not stop start shit at low revs. Back seats looked like the had never been sat in! Will easily make 300k if not 500k, unless I have an crash its emission regs that kills this car.....4k was a bargain as this was a 53k car in 2010, I had a lucky day getting this.

Wow my 2002 E320 4Matic on has 155,000 and I bought it in 2016 with 140,000 is that young or something?? for a car almost 20 years old or is 150k alot for a 2010?? I get told by mechanics I have a really nice well built mercedes and to stay away from the new ones because they have alot of problems. I've put some money into it for petty issues to be expected after 17+ years of aging and they said its well worth it because the engine is beautiful I'm only the second owner.. The W210s were built sturdy I've hit a deer going 40 and it threw the deer like a bouncy call and left me with a minor scuff when had I hit that deer in my brothers newer benz going the same speed it would have take the bumper off because technically as hard as I ran into the deer it should have F**** my car up.. My girlfriend has a Hyundia and that would have destroyed her front end.. After that day I realized what a tank these frames are for older Mercedes I feel safe in my car plus im surrounded by air bags in a crash which for 2002 was ahead of its time on that feature.
Wow, thank you for making this video! Just bought my wife a 2003 SL500 w/ 71k on it, 1 owner. It's a great ride - we had a scare with the ABC that checking the fluid levels fixed, and we've discovered an air leak that we have to had addressed in a couple of months when we get ready to store it. Still, I'm now looking at getting a late model S class so I'll definitely remember your observations.
I agree with your opinion on the 1st generation GL Class(2007-12). If you look at many sources such as Consumer Reports and Kelley Blue Book, the 1st generation GL Class is very problematic, especially the air suspension.

I purchased a 2013 S550 4matic sports package in 2021. It runs excellent.
We’ve got a 2005 E320, 2006 ML350 and a 2017 GLS550. All 3 very reliable. The M112 and 5spd auto in the E320 is almost the exact same as the powertrain in the E500 and it’s pretty much bulletproof. The E has some minor issues I have to work out but in general the powertrain is rock solid. The ML, despite being an 06, has been very reliable, really only needing little wear and tear things replaced. At 164k miles, we’re very pleased with how that car has lasted. And lastly our GLS, which is so new we can’t really judge the reliability too much, but from what I’ve read they’re very good, new enough to where most of the little things have been worked out.
Got myself a 2010 C300. Damn near bullet proof. Not a daily driver. So it has been rather pampered. Has under 88k miles. And only 2 cosmetic flaws. Otherwise an excellent car if you want to slide into an affordable Mercedes. Very impressed with these entry level Benz's. Next is another C300 and its BIG brother the C63 AMG. And my tiny Benz collection will be complete. Great vid and informative content brother! Thanks!
I want to buy a C300 2010 4matic. What about the maintenance? Is too expensive?
A BMW version of this should be in order. I almost bought a 60,000-mile 2012 BMW 750i the other day up until the mechanic from the shop literally ran up to me and said to avoid buying that car at all costs. I left the dealer and went to the forums to find out the N63 engine is on a soft recall with the turbochargers and the valve stem seals and BMW refuses to inform their owners. Glad I followed the mechanic's advice. Time to buy an S550!
Fam, always do research on the car you want before going out and buying. Look for the common problems, etc.. It's all out there in the internet. Glad you dodged that bullet. That mechanic was looking out for you. lol
I looked at a 2016 BMW 5 Series 528i with the 2.0 engine with turbo a few weeks ago. It was at a BMW dealership. Didn't buy it even though it was in awesome shape.

On my second w211 e class, m271 Kompressor. Great solid well engineered cars, watch the sbc pump on the 02-06 cars as they have a limited life span and cost €€€ to rebuild or replace. 06-09 are properly sorted and v reliable, Merc did away with the sbc and redesigned the electrics that was prone to trouble.....result one of the most reliable mercs ever

How’s it doing so far??
As a frequent Benz driver/owner/and person who works on my own cars...
I own(ed) a 2006 E350 Sedan (W211), so the M272, post-balance shaft issue. Was a great car, cost virtually nothing in repairs (all maintenance.) Ate a brake light switch, got rid of it over fears for the SBC system. Never had an issue, but with 180k on the clock, I was worried about getting enough "presses" that I'd need to figure it out. Quiet and smooth as the day I bought her when I shipped it in 2015.
Own a CLK now for the family/summer toy, essentially the same car, sans the SBC and roof. Bulletproof.
Wife drives a 2009 ML350. Again, post balance shaft/timing issues on the M272. Only non-maintenance issues were a pair of noisy wheel bearings, the front differential was getting noisy, and the tail light corrosion issue. Swapped the diff (not hard, just annoying), pressed in a pair of wheel bearings, and bought OE taillights. All for less than two months of a car payment. She'll need some suspension work in the near future, but 180k, no major issues. Keep saying "this is our last year", but pandemics, supply chain issues, etc have kept her in service. Doesn't owe me a penny, and runs like it's brand new. No reason to dump it yet.
Currently run a 2015 W212 E-350 Wagon. Air suspension issues in the rear (thanks Arnott for making replacement parts), collision sensor issues, trim peeling inside. 75k. Lives in a garage in NY. Doesn't get driven all that much. The major mechanicals (M276/722.9 Trans) are great, but the overall quality of the vehicle has declined. This will most likely be my last Benz; and I've owned many more than the ones listed above. Shame..
Interior design on the new cars feels cheap, screens replacing well designed, durable dashboards. Too much junk plastic, lazy interior designs. Bought the last year W212 on purpose (literally, a few weeks more production on the cars), glad I did.
Wife wants a new(er) GLS to replace the ML. I'm 50/50 if I wanna wade in that pool anymore.
Maybe I'll be back to Volvo after this car is gone.
