I've been dealing with moderately severe acne for about a year now and to say it had effected my self esteem would be an understatement. Day after day I'd try to hide my face at school because I couldn't stand people seeing my skin. I've tried any and every product there is to try, including proactive, treatments from 'the body shop', scrubs, toners, face masks - you name it, I've tried it. I came across your instagram a couple weeks ago and you've really inspired me. You're so gorgeous and you've shown me that my skin is nothing to be ashamed of. We're in this boat together and I'm so glad I found your channel! lots of love, stay strong!! xx
the fact that my mother won't let me wear foundation and concealer in general irritates me. she's says you let OK fine the way you are, and I can't explain to her that I don't l, I don't look even half decent, but she just... doesn't seem to care

I love how open she is with her viewers and herself. She can expose herself on social media and be ridiculed by so many but continue to do what she does. It's brave and commendable and I wish I had that kind of confidence. I know it's "just a makeup tutorial", but I think her entire image and brand is more than that. It's loving yourself for what you look like no matter the obstacles, whether it be yourself or the world around you and its perceptions.

I love watching you more than any other UA-camr beauty guru. There are so many people who do tutorials and blogs where they create makeup looks and they are beautiful but all these people have clear skin so they just slap on and that's it. I think its proper talent to be able to work with bad skin and have the confidence to share it. Absolute favourite look! I've gone from high end to more drugstore based products out of choice recently. My makeup has never looked better! Inglot also have a great colour selection for pale skin without breaking the bank!

I just found your channel and I'm so excited to check out your videos! I've suffered from acne for most of my life and I absolutely cannot get my makeup to look even remotely like what you're able to achieve. I'm considerably older (46); I have significant scarring, sun damage and wrinkles. Plus I'm definitely not pale, lol. I'm olive-skinned and it's so hard to find that exact shade of makeup that provides the coverage I want but doesn't melt in the Maui sun.
I'm definitely going to check out that NYX setting spray because if I use powder to set my makeup it looks so cakey.

Omg the no powder thing with the setting spray really works! I tried it with rose water also and it hydrates the skin AND makes my foundation look less cakey!!!
