Reminds me of linocut , need 3.5 g of zoomers to get through that fiddly bit. Not really but a joint anyway. Discovered water oils recently, was a hard-core acrylic painter. Use both ,more fun now. ✌️
That first step was interesting and helpful. I don’t claim to be an artist but I like to do fun seasonal "pieces" for the kids at the school where I work. This month will be Boris Karloff and Bella Lugosi. Cheers from across the pond.
Great video, I've never studied any of this super-closely but for some reason thought that the hand, the figure's left hand with fingers pointing, required a separate stencil.
I've just remembered lol. We're studying street art in school rn, and banksy came up. We looked at some of his works, and I just i remembered that I had seen one of his works, not too long ago, that said "I want change" on my way to school. Finna take that whole bus stop for myself lmaooo Edit: thank you for these stencilling videos by the way! I sort of have to make my own for my art project, but its proving difficult, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.. do you have any tips-? ty ^^
@@Cutitout. I want to say everything, but specifically, I think it's the cutting out part. We use a box knife in my school, which is kinda similar to the scalpel, but when I compare my stencil to the other ones ppl are doing, it just looks super rough, and not.. stencil-like?
I have a question: if I want to try this at home is it worth getting an airbrush? An airbrush kit costs about the same as 10-12 spraycans (about £80) and I've already got a pretty big acrylic paints collection. Will airbrush give the same effect or am I better off using spraypaints?
@@Cutitout. another way is to get a cake projector and just project an 8.5x11 A4 for Europe onto a piece of poster board. That looked painful I’m working on a large scale plotter for this type of work as I write this.
Yo so I know this is an quit old video can u leave some tips can I get famouse like Banksy I'm 13 but I wanna be like him any tips also I don't want anyone to know my identity I don't want to brags but is it OK if u send me the equipment for the graffitie like the hot mat graffiti and also sharp thanks man
So thanks man for replying man I love Banksy does Banksy use this technique and I'm 13 if I keep practicing do u think I can be like him and you also can you send me some good graffiti cans and also the blade and mat thanks man hope u reply your a legend.
So I mostly Montana 94 spray paint but it doesn’t really matter what spray paint you use, get yourself a good craft knife with some 10a blades..... they are super sharp so be careful when using them. You should check some of my other videos out and then just keep practicing. Banksys style can be very easy to copy so if I were you, try and find your own style using the same techniques. Hope that helps you.... let me know how you get on ..... just keep trying new things and keep practicing
OK man thanks one more does Banksy use the technique your using BTW I did just buy the Montana soo yeah. Sorry for many questions it's my first time I have one more question is it OK if you do a tutorial step by step on how to create a stencil and spray it on a wall like Banksy thanks man also can I get a shoutout in the nest vide haha lol thanks man anyway
He sprayed it with white first, then over sprayed the area with white again after removing the stencil so that it bled over the edges. The result is that you saw the white area after the black was applied using the stencil.
An applicant graphic designer at our work wrote his CV on a pair of Y-Fronts. Just in black marker. They gave him the job.
That’s hilarious

Sounds great … hope you have fun
Very good I had no idea how it was done. When someone buys his work can it just be peeled off the wall and taken away?
You might as well make your own .... it’s definitely easier than taking a wall
Lmao 😂^
Great video, I've never studied any of this super-closely but for some reason thought that the hand, the figure's left hand with fingers pointing, required a separate stencil.
anything banksy designs is made to be painted fast so the less stencils the better
That’s the closest I’ve seen anyone get to how he does it. What’s that cream color you’re using is that Montana cans or some euro cans?
I’ve recently only been using Montana 94 . That cream colour is Marron jaima ( RV -191 )
Thank you and good job mate! What paper do you use, it kind of like cardboard. What is it?
I just use card .... just make sure it’s 250gsm, thanks for watching
what an amazing idea..totally gonna take a bite of bansky stencil for some political grafs
Awesome !!! So you put some off-white, then white and then black right ?
yeah that's spot on
Wish artists would always make happy things.
i dont have a self healing mat so ive been using my large computer mousepad lol
that'll do
@@Cutitout. so long as I don't cut deep it works great lol
Trying this. Thanks many much lots dude. Subbed
great to hear.... good to have you on board
What material did u use for the stencil?
I've just remembered lol.

@@quipo.0166 it’s okay, it’s all part of the learning process, I started with a box knife too . I would just say keep practicing
@@Cutitout. thanks man-! I'll keep watching your videos ^^
@@quipo.0166 it's best to use a very sharp knife(scalpel) and also need to practice spraying so that the details come out well.

I'd say its kinda up to you, I've tried both and i like the spray paint effect more and spray paint is faster with setting up and packing away
Keep it up....bro it was a nice video
Thinking of getting one done 💥🔥🔥
Nicely done clip dude
Nice work mate. Thanks for the vid.
Awesome
Auctions: “Sir I need you to break the chunk of your wall that has the banksy art and sell it to us now!”
Whats the first spray you use??
just white spray paint...... just do a light spray and it shows you the parts that you need to spray white when you remove the stencil
@@Cutitout. ok thank you
what do you reccomend if the spray goes under the paper?
@@Micki21 just embrace it
nice
Thank you so much!
Where can I get the drawing to cut it out?
I’ll work on a drawing so you can download it
@@Cutitout. 🤗💕
you can find a couple of stencils online. I downloaded a free software so I can print out a larger format.
Not bad at all, just that you missed the part explaining how you transfer the image to the paper.
Draw it or print it off .... I just draw it

Great
Banksy'd be a hypocrite if he didn't approve
Bad artists copy, great artists steal. Pablo Picasso & 3an¥
I dont understand it , when you pull off the last time ,
What don’t you understand?
BRUHHHH UR BANKSY MY MANNNNNN ITS OBVY
What does IronLak do? If someone can fill me in
Ironlak is just a more professional spray paint . Makes it a lot easy to paint stuff
Just out of curiosity , did Banksy finally make you an offer you can't refuse?
What do you mean 😆
Brilliant
Spray paint is very toxic that's important to wearing a mask while painting
Banksy uses Cricut😅
Yeah definitely 😂
Cual es la fuente tipografica del min 0:24 ?
Where did you get the image
Just google

Be like Banksy !go paint walls!
Ok ok I’m sorry 😉
Banksy do that on walls..
You should give that a try .... just make sure you have your running shoes on or a high vis
woah so now its not "stencil" or "stencil art" but "Banksy"? Wtf this is so idiotic.
Not a fan 😂
(This is a copy of a well known Banksy image, made using a stencil.)
nice vid but the music is awful
Mute it 😅 ….. thanks for watching
Have you got a step by step on how to draw it before cutting it out
Working on a video about that .... coming out soon
@Cut it Out would you make one and post it and how much
