Hi Emma- so glad I found your UA-cam channel. Love your insight, love your story telling, love your imaginary side dialogues between the suspects and police... have seen you on true crime documentaries and shows for years but love you in this/your element being free to say what you really want to, how you want to. Wondering if you could please cover the chandler halderson case. He murdered his parents, Bart & Krista, all to cover up his insane life of lies. I'd be super interested to hear your take and have you explain wtf his brain was doing and why. He seemed "normal" but somehow decided murdering & dismembering his parents was a better option than just coming clean about his lies and I just cannot wrap my mind around it. Best regards. Thank you so much for sharing your views and these stories for the victims. Love to you and your family including of course your furbabies

Hi Emma! I just wanted to say that because I'm in Australia, I actually set my alarm to wake up at 6am on Thursday and Monday mornings! I listen to your new episode while I get ready for work, and on the drive in! I don't think I've ever shown such dedication 😊 Love your deep dives, your wit, compassion, empathy and intellect. I actually got my husband to sit and watch an episode with me recently. Afterwards he said “ I get why you like this so much. It's like sitting with one of your good mates and having a chat. She makes you feel like your part of the conversation.” I've got to admit, he's kind of right! I know I just really appreciate how you delve into the psychological aspects of it all, we are almost the same age so I also can relate to a lot of your stories from back in the day! Black eyeliner phase and all! So excited to see your subscriber numbers climbing too! Well deserved! ❤️🌻

I'm from west yorkshire, Shannon is two years younger than me. We weren't allowed to play outside after dark because our parents thought there was a kidnapper roaming the streets. My dad went out looking for her. Karen Matthews is an incredibly disturbing person, she made an entire community of people have life changing trust issues and trauma and for what? I wish Shannon all the best in life x
I have seen many documentaries on this case, including the ones you had been in. You have actually brought into light many things that have not been addressed, voicing things that have long been suspected. Thank you
Your compassion shines through and I admire how thorough you are with these cases, covering every point of view. A lot of documentaries focus on the killer or perpetrator and forget that there was a human being at the heart of the case who deserves sympathy. Narcissists crave notoriety and documentaries and dramas which focus solely on the perpetrators are giving them what they want, so I'm grateful that you establish Sharon's life and circumstances before the main event.
@emma Kenny I hope Shannon is watching this case because you did her justice, if she is and sees this comment my prayers are with her 🙏and I hope you are well and safe and has had the right treatment to get over somehow what you went through
Emma you've done it again, I've read about and watched several documentaries and there was still insight and info I'd never heard of/considered!! You're always able to bring something new to some of the most notorious and well known cases, it's brilliant. You're amazing and I love watching your crime content - it's a regular part of my Wednesday and Sunday evenings 💜💜
Emma the case of the McCans has baffled me for years, Have you ever seen the McCans break down in floods of tears for their baby girl, nah me neither???
Agreed! I’ve never been able to get my head around The McCanns!! Something has always been very off about the whole situation but I can’t ever put my finger on exactly what it is! Still believe to this day that they’re guilty!!!
Thank you for highlighting the disparity between the Mcanns and the Matthews, this case is about humanity and the lack thereof sadly on the side of those involved and those who were covering it
"I'd like to report my daughter missing please" - as soon as I heard this woman talk on this call I knew, as a mother you'd be beyond desperate for help if your child was missing. She was performing from the second she made the call til she was found out. Gross. I hope Shannon is doing ok now ❤
I feel like bullying has always been horrendous. I was bullied every day of my life throughout school and I'm older. It's not the fault of the children when they're living in violent or neglectful environments that the community just... ignore. Kids will take their anger out on others who are their size when they can't fight back at home.
Emma thank you for your amazing coverage. I love you snarky comments towards these deplorable people who commit crimes against children.. Thank God she was found alive. We don't hear this very often.
Unfortunately social class is rife with judgement: I worked on a Mental Health unit a few years ago in the North of England, and I'm from a very working class council estate and did see a few patients from my area being admitted onto the unit (alongside those from affluent areas) If any staff knew any patients, we had to declare it to the Ward Manager and I can remember his actual words to me were: "Oh Nikki you really do know some complete riff raff". Absolutely disgusted I reported him. People in these jobs and others should have a code of impartiality. Sadly this is often not the case. I hope Shannon and her siblings are enjoying great lives ❤
Never to far Emma! You say what we all think and that’s why we love you! The scenarios you think up are a realistic balance of logic and emotion and brilliantly articulated.
Hi Emma. I saw you last night in Lancaster and you were brilliant! With respect, I was equally excited seeing Dusted selling the Merch! Forgive me if I got his name wrong. But i was/ am very excited! Love you guys xx
@@hannahhopkinson9044 yeah thanks I've watched it. Must thank Emma for that one. I mean I can't have been the only one to have asked for Claudia Lawrence case.
i certainly remember this case of The Disappearance of little Shannon Matthews Thanks for this presentation i have 4 children youngest daughter 22 yrs of age i also have 3 grandchildren it's often too scary to even think of something like this happening to any of them it is actually unthinkable to be for warned is to be for-armed Thankyou !!
This case is definitely an example of every child deserves parents but not all parents deserve children. I really hope Shannon got to have & still is having a better life after all this trauma she suffered at the hands of these disgusting individuals. Seeing her childhood best friend cry for her really broke my heart-it also says a lot how I don’t believe any adults were shown (genuinely) crying for her to come home! Her life even before what happened was horrific. 💔
Can't wait for this one, your videos are the highlight of my week. Please could you consider covering the case of Patrick Warren & David Spencer? An unsolved case. I can't help but feel it had less media attention due to them being from a poor area. Would love to hear your thoughts and take on it! Keep shining as always Em, you're a star ❤xxx
The milk carton boys. I live local to the area so have been following the families enquiries/dogs in recent years. So frustrating that they were dismissed as runaways at the time and tragic that the main suspect has now died so it's unlikely the families will ever get justice. I am assuming you are relatively local to the wood too as you have mentioned the lad so, hi neighbour
This country with its sentences is absolutely laughable. It’s embarrassing! Thanks for covering this. I was only young when this happened so I never fully understood it.
I first wanna say, I really find your videos very informative and I really love how you have so much of a more gentler and empathetic approach when talking about these subjects. It’s hard to find true crime channels that don’t just make a mimicry or lessen the severity of these cases. But I’m ngl that intro you got girl drives me insane 😭😭
I look at those photos of Shannon and see a fragile and beautiful soul. I just hope that our collective thoughts and prayers help pave a positive and happy future for her. Shannon, wherever you are, we all care about and LOVE you ❤
I love how that you presented this disturbing story in favor of victim's rights. I wouldn't call her a mother AT ALL. I'm from the U.S. and I'm telling you that this "mother" would probably serve double the amount of time in the U.S. and definitely no reduced sentence. This goes for the male perpetrator as well. Children are our greatest resource because they determine the future of England or U.S. or whatever country they're from. Karen would have definitely had all rights taken away from her with her other children, even visitation. God bless this poor girl. Also she deserves to have her story kept alive as much as families of privilege.
Hi Emma, from Dunedin NZ! Was cool to hear you mention our wee end of the world recently. I'd absolutely love your take on the bizarre case of the Lundy family murders. I think you would do an incredible job presenting one that has had NZ talking for decades now. Love your channel ❤
I agree with you Emma. I was a primary school teacher in Scotland for the letter post off my career. Having had a terrible and deprived childhood I wanted to do my bit. To try to make a difference( no, I want perfect). The emotional wellbeing of 'my' children was paramount. Having been bullied I was on the alert for it. It absolutely was not tolerated in my school . There was no” we don't have bullying in our school". We recognised it can happen in any school and we had policies in place to deal with it.
I remember seeing on the evening news that Shannon had been found and I remember being really elated and emotional and she’s a child I have never met!! Karen makes me sick, I really hope Shannon and her siblings went on to have better lives!
There should be zero tolerance on bullying in schools. In my experience American schools now take it far more seriously than British schools. Both of my children were horrified that they witnessed bullying when they transferred schools & countries, “AND the teacher was stood right there & did NOTHING!” 😢
I agree. It seems schools would rather deny that they have issues with bullying than actually do anything about it that may come back to haunt them when OFSTED are on site. OFSTED needs a complete overhaul, it is not fit for purpose.
Emma one of the things I love about your videos the most is how you relate and how you explain things for me anyway to understand and the very start of this video the way you mentioned Shannon's home may not have been what some people consider a good home but it was still her home!! I know that personally people can struggle with mental issues we can struggle with deaths that we don't know how to deal with so many things that can prevent a child's home life from being something in a fairytale but what it doesn't mean because we don't have a lot of money or our children don't have the most expensive and best versions of everything doesn't mean that children are not loved beyond measure that our homes may not be huge and have ample space but they're clean and they're where our children know they are above all and everything else SAFE and LOVED!! On the flip side of that coin it can also mean a broken home full of abuse etc I appreciate how you started the video explaining no matter what Shannon's home was it was still her HOME! And I'm just at the very start of your video so I don't know Shannon's story yet but I want to thank you Emma
I live in a rough deprived area but the whole community works together to keep the Kids safe. I hope Shannon is safe and happy now, she deserves all the best things in life.
Oh gosh. I am sure I've heard this case before, but yet again, you smash it out of the field with the respect and research done. I really would love to see you cover Daniel Morcombe's case. In Australia, his name is a household name. So much time passed before the person who took him was caught, but his case was covered for the whole time. 😊
This is absolutely horrendous... And probably doesn't even scratch the surface of what this wee lassie went through. The worst thing is this is probably one of the most positive cases you have covered... I hope people know what I mean. She is only 25 she has many years ahead of her I hope she is living her best life and has moved on as best as she can. Ps... The parents had something to do with MM case...
My son went missing for about 10 minutes in a local park (there was a blind spot) and I was freaking out. I can only imagine the distress that parents of genuine missing/abducted children feel.
beyond SHOCKING!!! a Classic example of a group of unintelligent individuals who really haven’t thought this through. As Others have said, I really hope she’s able to thrive and live her best life now.
Hi Emma, your St Helens Killer Cults show was brilliant! So good to see you again. This case, i remember well from the time. Absolutely shocking behaviour, beyond belief. I hope Shanon can move beyond this trauma and reclaim herself. Thanks Emma, much love to you and yours xx
I remember this happening like it was yesterday. I grew up 2 towns over in Mirfield, shes a year younger than i and i remember this shook the whole area massively. Everyone was so worried for her and their own children. I hope wherever she is, thats shes doing well.
I remember being a child as this horror unfolded. I live the opposite side of the country nevertheless I recall my parents trying to shield us from the news. Even on the other side of the country, curfews to come back home got earlier, worries were higher. My thoughts are with Shannon and I hope sincerely that she is able to live a life of peace and joy.
I am only 3 mins in (I do know the case) but glad to hear your thoughts on council estates. I live in what was once known as a dive a slum but it is very much mixed council and owners nowadays and when we were looking to buy late 90s it was affordable. Now 25 years on we have a great close group of neighbours. We also have some not so nice ones too but then when living with my parents in a considered very well to do village we still had a*seholes as neighbours so it annoys me when people are judged on location.
In the early 2000s the first house I bought was near Dewsbury moor , I lived on Fairfield crescent off Staincliffe road.. Some really nice houses from Staincliffe towards Heald's Road thats certainly not rough. Infact the couple that bought my semi were from Dewsbury moor and wanted to buy house near the estate as they didn't want to move away. We sold it as we wanted to move back to our home town of Ossett.

Your internal chats make me rofl so hard. Thank you for sharing these cases and for making the unimaginably disgusting perpetrators humorous. You rock Emma ❤
I remember when this happened and from the off i knew something wasn't what it seemed. I remember those crocodile tears so well because i made a comment to my mum saying her eyes are dry she isnt upset at all. Emma you are addictive i am currently binge watching all the cases you have covered 🤗
I lived on moorside when all this happened and how the estate was shamed was awful a lot of people like myself worked for a living but after this we got tied to the same brush this brought back a lot of memories 😢x
I doubt it will be any consolation but I remember the case well and at the time I thought how amazing the community were to have pulled together. It reminded me very much of the community I grew up in down in the midlands and I still live in a similar community. The street I live in is very much working class and whilst we may not be rich, we very much pull together when needed. Will help each other out with everything from a cup of sugar to searching for a lost pet. The vast majority of the people in Moorside were the salt of the earth and in no way anything like that excuse for a mother. I can't begin to imagine how horrific it must have been to be living there when this happened, not only to learn what scum that woman and her partner were but to have to deal with the gutter press intrusion.

I initially thought why are you doing a case that's already been over done, learnt new things, love you Emma ❤
Emma the case of the McCans has baffled me for years,
Have you ever seen the McCans break down in floods of tears for their baby girl, nah me neither???
Also how much money they've made from book sales, interviews etc. Thats not the behaviour of grieving parents
Agreed! I’ve never been able to get my head around The McCanns!! Something has always been very off about the whole situation but I can’t ever put my finger on exactly what it is! Still believe to this day that they’re guilty!!!
@@youinspiremyinnerserialkillercompletely agree!!
The Deception Detective on you tube has done an amazing series of videos on the McCann case. The parent’s behavior is definitely suspicious.
Thank you for highlighting the disparity between the Mcanns and the Matthews, this case is about humanity and the lack thereof sadly on the side of those involved and those who were covering it
Been waiting for you to cover this case! I can't wait to hear your take on it. That poor child went through so much.
"I'd like to report my daughter missing please" - as soon as I heard this woman talk on this call I knew, as a mother you'd be beyond desperate for help if your child was missing. She was performing from the second she made the call til she was found out. Gross.
I hope Shannon is doing ok now ❤
I'd be crying. There was no emotion on that phone call.
Bullying has gotten so bad that it’s a serious blight on our school systems 😢
I feel like bullying has always been horrendous. I was bullied every day of my life throughout school and I'm older. It's not the fault of the children when they're living in violent or neglectful environments that the community just... ignore. Kids will take their anger out on others who are their size when they can't fight back at home.
I bet it's less than the olden days. Some people just love to rose tint the past.
The difference now is that kids can't escape their bullies even at home. The bullying is constant now.
Emma thank you for your amazing coverage. I love you snarky comments towards these deplorable people who commit crimes against children.. Thank God she was found alive. We don't hear this very often.
Unfortunately social class is rife with judgement:
I worked on a Mental Health unit a few years ago in the North of England, and I'm from a very working class council estate and did see a few patients from my area being admitted onto the unit (alongside those from affluent areas) If any staff knew any patients, we had to declare it to the Ward Manager and I can remember his actual words to me were: "Oh Nikki you really do know some complete riff raff".
I live for these uploads❤ thank you for being consistent with your videos
Im glad i got to watch some of the premier and be a part of the live chat! Re watching now that im off work❤
Love your channel Emma😊😊please do a video about Claudia Lawrence. Many thanks. All the best to you and your family.
It's done , a couple of weeks ago- really good too 👌
@@hannahhopkinson9044 yeah thanks I've watched it.
Thanks for covering this Em, hope you are all well in the Kenny hoose!! X
Does she cover unsolved cases?
@subrosa4792 she does. If you visit her channel and click playlists, you'll see a category for 'unsolved cases' 😊
Ooh, I have been asking for this one. Really looking forward to your deep dive on this Emma x
I remember this and the celebration when she was found and then the absolute shock when the guilty were identified. It's unimaginable stuff.
This country with its sentences is absolutely laughable. It’s embarrassing! Thanks for covering this. I was only young when this happened so I never fully understood it.
I laughed so hard with the ‘what can back me’ as people around my area say this all the time. It irritates me to no end!!
Excited for this one.
Hope you do the Paul Bernado and Karla Homolka case soon, would love your take on it!
Ken and Barbie ©️
@@subrosa4792 That's the ones
Oh my gosh ME TOO!!! thatd be such a good episode 👏 Pls Emma ❤
I look at those photos of Shannon and see a fragile and beautiful soul. I just hope that our collective thoughts and prayers help pave a positive and happy future for her. Shannon, wherever you are, we all care about and LOVE you ❤
“What can back that up” made me laugh out loud 🤣 your sarcasm is absolutely fantastic 🙈
Wherever Shannon is now, I hope she is okay.
She allegedly now lives in another area altogether, and has a new identity.
Been waiting for your take on this one Emma
I’m glad you covered this one because there’s a lot of stuff that I didn’t even know about.
This case was utterly shocking! Poor girl! 😢
Thank you for more insight into this case and I love you’re play acting. Always keeping it real. Love ya em.
I often think of her. Thanks for covering this case, Emma and the update at the end. ❤
The MM case? I don’t know about that, please enlighten me🙏🏻
Madeleine Mccann
The mother kept mentioning the McCanns & how much money they got. But they didn’t have anything to do with them.
Oh, I look forward to hearing your take on this case Emma.
I'm so glad your covering this one love your take. Its a story I've been interested in year and seen all the documentary about it.
You speak your truth emma!! I’m always here for it ❤
Have you ever thought about doing something on the Billie Jo Jenkins case?
Thanks Emma this was my first live with you
I am only 3 mins in (I do know the case) but glad to hear your thoughts on council estates.
This case never ceases to amaze me, what a truly unhinged excuse of a parent.
Huddersfield local here! Your West Yorkshire accent is 🤣🤣☠️ All future videos narrated in this accent please 👍🏼
And on a more serious note - here’s to hoping Shannon is safe and thriving in her new life
Beautifully and respectfully covered as always. I thought I knew this case really well but I didn’t know they’d been drugging her for up to two years prior!
Hey Emma! Absolutely love your channel! Deception Detective covered the Madeline McCann case in depth. He provides some great insight.
Wishing Shannon Matthews all the best in her life.
OMG I’m loving you covered this tonight! I watched both documentaries on channel 5 last night
Great story telling as always emma. Ty ❤
Thank you for this being waiting for your take on this.
Ps adore your channel 💖
I don't think anyone will ever forget what this woman ( family did ).
Em I'd love you to please do the case on 'Take care of Maya'
Thanks for giving this case another voice like you've done before but you do it so much better when it's not on TV.
Sending love from my hospital bed while I recover from my heart attack Sundays are always better when we get to hear the way you talk about cases ( your sarcasm at it's finest). The the knowledge and diligence you give. Hope Etta is keeping you on your feet ❤
Would like to see your take on the Derek Bird Cumbrian shootings. Never seen that one covered x
Hi Emma!
I was wondering if you’d ever be open to doing a Q&A where viewers submit questions for you to answer? I’m studying Forensic Psychology in Manchester and would love to hear about your journey in psychology (as I’m sure lots of others would!) x
I hope where ever Shannon is, she's ok, and living a good life, I hope she still see's her siblings 🙏🏾❤️
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THUS EMMA! 😮
27:25 Hello, Emma! I love the way you covered this case. Your sympathy towards the victims is always something that really amazes me.
The new merch looks great on you! I hope you are having a great Monday & have a wonderful rest of the week. 💗💕
First time watching you. Really good watch. Thanks! Subscribed
I lived on moorside when all this happened and how the estate was shamed was awful a lot of people like myself worked for a living but after this we got tied to the same brush this brought back a lot of memories 😢x
❤
Hi Emma please can you do a crime video about Sarah Payne?
Yes I was just thinking the same thing.
Yes and what about little April Jones ?
@@jackiegardiner7422 April should have been celebraing her 14th birthday with her loving family instead she had a lovely day in heaven with her new friends and family.

Id really love for you to add the Conrad Roy/Michelle Carter case and the Jonbenet Ramsey case onto your ever growing list
I hope she is happy and safe and has a positive future. She is the same age as my son and remember this case
Emma, learnt so much from your research into Shannon's abduction. Shocking statistics throughout. You are right about the "postcode lottery" of life - disgraceful! I love your knowledge, compassion, your humour & your humanity. I hope Shannon achieves everything in life that she sets her heart on & wish all her dreams come true. Many thanx for your diligence, reliability & loveability. Donna
You’ve got the most brutally honest yet insanely entertaining personality. Absolutely love it 😂
