Just ordered one of these for my Philippines trip in November! Homegirl is Filipino and getting married on the island of Boracay. I’m bringing this, my Sony a7r3 with a tamron 35mm-150mm, as well as my DJI mini 3 drone. Going to be absolutely epic! Can’t wait to capture some great memories.
Hey, Vincent! You're gonna love the camera and the Philippines! Fyi, I used to live in the Philippines! Haha! Btw, It would mean the world to me if you subscribed. Please and thank you!
hey I just got mine and saw so many great reviews on it but honestly not having such a good time with since most of my pictures are coming out quite bad…. The quality of faces seems very blurry and I’m comparing it to my mini 8 and my mini 8 quality is way better yet older… any advice ? Are yours coming out like that too
Yes, expired films will definitely have some inconsistencies. Although I love shooting with expired film sometimes because it adds a unique look but if that's not what you're going for then stay away from expired film. Only buy film that are within the year of manufacturing. I suggest that when you do buy new film and you want to store them for a long time, put them in the fridge. What I normally do is I buy a lot and then I store them and take out a box one night before I plan to shoot to make sure that it's back to room temperature level.
@@iflorish they're two entirely different cameras for me. One being digital and one being analog. It depends on what I'm feeling on using the day that I'm gonna be bringing a camera out. Short answer is if I know that my friends want copies of the photos I'm going to be taking, I'll bring my Evo if the photos are going to be solely mine and I want to take a more analog approach on that day or I want to take a break from digital cameras, I'll definitely bring my Mini 99, also in my opinion, mini 99 looks so much better because it's more authentic vintage looking haha, The mini Evo really looks like a modern camera trying to look vintage. As for picture quality, if you want the best without making mistakes then definitely go for the Mini Evo solely because of the ability to view the photo before you print it but it takes away the fun of taking instant photos. Hope this helps!
I like the video, and I will get the camera. think you could have mentioned a bit about the paper, and one thing I still didn't figured out, where is the ink?
The reason instax and Polaroids have the extra white space on the border of the photo, is because there is a dye pack in each individual photo. When the image prints, the rollers in the camera wipe the dye over the exposed film, which begins the developing process.

Hi there, how long does your battery last ? Mine died after around an hour of use ( 30 pictures taken no prints and some gallery viewing) could my battery be faulty or is this normal ?

I just got this cam and its still so hood in 2024!!
This would have been perfect if it printed wide like the 400
Thank you!! Just purchased mine
Woohoo! How are you liking it so far?
hallo! i am very new to cameras and such. but can this take a video like digital cameras or just photos? thanks in advance!
Good video, can you share a link for the pictures holder (2:43) ?
It’s the plastic cartridge that holds the film
Just remove the plastic tab on the bottom when you’re done and insert your pictures back in
@327br so simple haha, thanks for the tip!
Which do you recommend overall? Mini Link 3 or mini evo?
i would go for the mini evo for sure
Those b-roll shots🤩
Appreciate it! Thanks, bro!
What happens to the photos you don’t print? Can you save them to your phone?
Sadly They made it so you MUST print so You can save it To your phone
@@TheAndroidGamer367can't you just put the sd card into a PC then move over to phone?
@@CelineOcean1 Yeah That could work But I don't Think It has that white boarders
@@TheAndroidGamer367 sounds about right
@@TheAndroidGamer367 but do they still have the lens effects on the digital copy from the SD card?
Can it be mounted on tripod? Thank you
Yes, it can! It has 2 tripod mounting threads!
Hello. Why my pictures printed out with a vertical line? Please help, thanks so much.
Hey, Albert! Are you talking about the frame that all Insta photos have? Or is another line?
@@markfriday the vertical line on the picture, like red color line. Like 1/4 " from left of the picture.
Does this happen with all the photos from your current film pack? It could be that the film pack might be damaged.
@markfriday i bought the film pack on ebay dated 2021. Could it be a problem because it expired ?

Nice review and enjoyed your thoughts on the cam. Can you use the onboard filter/lens effects for photos imported from a smartphone?
Just a couple weeks before this video, you stated the Mini 99 was the best Instax of 2024. How would you compare them, and which one do you prefer?

Is this still worth buying in 2025?

Is the flash on? If you’re using it indoors with no flash you will have issues vs the forced flash of the 8
Micro USB charger is a bummer, otherwise this camera would almost be perfect. Love my evo mini!
This one is the USB-C version! The micro USB version is the older model
@@markfridayI had no idea that there was an updated one, that’s awesome👍🏻

Yep. Instax mini are way too small.

I agree! Hopefully one day they'll do this for square prints!
