- At UMA we use a lot of different type of motion decoys to help us while we are duck hunting. One that we like, but has major problems with not working is the MOJO FLOCK A FLICKER. After sending them back to MOJO to get them fixed, but still have the same problem. We did our own research and found out what was wrong and found a way to fix it. Hope you enjoy the video and hopefully this helps you guys out.
With you by passing the button on it. Will it make it run continuously and not pause. I have the new version and was wanting to try to wire it to run all the time other then turn on and off
It just by passes the button to turn on. It still does the pause.
Excellent! I am headed into duck camp for 21 days in September so I will do this before the season opens Sept. 1 (Alaska). ( I used to live in Logan, Utah in the 1980s...thanks)
Missy Skeeter that’s awesome! 21 duck camp sounds like fun. That’s so cool you lived in Utah.
Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Anytime. It’s worked great for me.
Hey, man, thanks for the informative video! I got 6 of these a few seasons back even though the reviews warned of mechanical/electrical issues. I’ve only had one go out on me, although I’ve not used them a ton. I have two Duck Creek Decoy Flashbacks, two Frenzy Feeders, and two Battleship Swimmers. Ripples for days! But, back to the flockaflickers...any repair advice if a guy wanted to keep the on/off button? Do you know what caused/causes the button failure? In my situation, standing in deep water to insert batteries without the button (in the dark and cold) would probably be a huge problem with dropping batteries and getting the inside wet. I can see this for a boat setup, but I wade a deep pond during setup. Any thoughts? Cheers from Colorado.
Yup - Sounds like you got a awesome setup for motion. What I found out is that for some reason the button is not fully waterproof or easy gets moisture in it and stops working. I bet there is a way to put on a waterproof button, but I have not found one.
I agree that it will be tuff to setup while in deep water can create difficulties. What I found out that if I keep the batteries in and flip one around so it’s not on and when I get out I only have to deal with one battery.
I hope this helps.
You could use marine shrink wrap instead of the e-tape
Liam Diffee great suggestion. Thanks!
Utah Marsh Assassins yessir! More “clean” looking, and you won’t have to worry about it coming undone really
Just bought flock a flicker and 5 worked and one didnt. I tried this fix didnt seem to work, It wall spin once then wont spin again unless I spin the wing then it goes once and stops again. Any idea?
Josh Kloss one of mine did a similar thing. I had to grease where the wing spins and it fixed my problem. Hopefully that helps.
