Why did you destroy the original copper brackets. You only had to make new carbon brushes from old battery. As you see the angular speed after your hack is a joke. Thanks for sharing , I liked it!

İts not for long time because, İt can make bigger issues in motor.Brushes is for slient,performance ,make small spark and heat so ,İts not for long time it can burn motor winding.

its, 12v motor. The voltage rating is not dependent on blades nut the turn of winding. For example if you wind this motor with very thin wire and lots of turns the voltage rating is increased but it draws less current. If you wind it a Few turns with thick copper wire it draws more current but less voltage depend on the turns.

What is the type of motor and kindly check its rating voltage. It may be less rated. It happens when you apply more voltage than its original voltage. Like, if your motor rated 6v but you apply 12v it will heat and may be burn.
