Here at Utah Marsh Assassins we hunt public land in Utah. We test out the gear that we buy to see if they truly will withstand the public lands. We also hunt over professionally trained waterfowl dogs. Some dogs are new to the game and others are seasoned dogs.
Successful Utah Swan Hunt 2023
2023 is a great year. Jared and Daniel both drew swan tags for the 2023 season. They both were super excited to get out and try to fill their tags. Long days and hard work payed off. Congrats to both of them!

Successful 2020 Utah Swan Hunts | Public Lands

2020 had treated us well this year for the swan hunt. We were able to get Isaac on his swan right before thanksgiving. Then Olivia and Daniel were able to get there swans on Black Friday in the morning. Thank goodness we went because by the end of Friday Utah shut down swan hunting due to hunters exceeding the Trumpeters limit. Hope you enjoy.

Tom and Daniel went out after the birds here in Utah on public lands. First setup was a failure, no birds flying at all. They shifted to a new location and was able to pull out a 2 man limit.

Every time there's that guy that wake's up 20 minutes before shooting then has to stop at betos for a breakfast burrito then maverick for soda's and snacks and feels the need to run through your spread that you set out at 4:30 so you can let the area settle I feel your pain I hunt a little bit north of you and have the same guy's up here
The ones at the beginning sounded like Trumpeter swans

Lot of water at Harold Crain and Farmington but none at Willard spur
Love the spur but no water this year.
The water has been pretty low everywhere this year. Makes it for interesting hunting!
@@utahmarshassassins5418 yup where there is water there's twenty hunter's and few bird's but I found some water in a old reliable spot shot two green head's this afternoon.

Not for sure yet. I have been hunting elk and soon deer. So hopefully after that.

Love your videos! I'm a recent transplant to SLC. All my life, I've had the luxury of hunting a private duck club in California's Central Valley. Taking my step-kids and their Dad out for their first duck hunt this year. Any tips?
I would start hitting up different water locations like Farmington bay, Willard spur, bear river refuge and scout.

Hey man quick question for you. It looks like you are shooting the carlson cremato, is it the LR or MR? Also, which ammo has patterned the best for you out of it?
I use a MR. I shoot the cheap winchester super x #2 ammo or the heavy steel #2. Both perform great.

That Utah ice is brutal.
It sure can be at times.
We went out like 3 days after the duck hunt to get some geese and we had like 300 ducks land in our goose spread.
They know when you can shoot and when you can’t! Smart birds!
