How could they encourage people to enlist and then treat them like this, she is wiling to fight for her country and they don't even care to look for her. I'm so tired of people not being considerate of human life.

I tried to join the army in 2014, and the recruiters lied to me. So i tried to join the navy, and they said the Army lied to me. So i went back to the Army ppl and they changed their story. I decided to remain civillian 🤷‍♂️

Did you hear how when Vanessa family came looking for her. When they ask where was she and they gave them the response to is idk?? How tf ? Like isn’t the army supposed to check on every person that’s in the base to be there? Aren’t they supposed to captured any one that’s abandoned their post and charge them for leaving the army base and thrown into prison ? But with her case it was like oops oh well she missing 🤷🏻‍♂️ like whaaattt ?? If that doesn’t raise any red flags on the base then there’s something fishy bout it. I feel like they set Vanessa up because she was going come clean bout her being sexually assaulted by 3 or 4 different people that were high rank officials in that army base . And they had that Robison guy kill her. He clean the gun room fast enough to where no one walk in to see blood or him dismantling her body. There has to be more people involved in her murder I know it in my heart. I say this to those people god has a special place for those monsters in hell for what they did to her. And I pray that the demons rip them apart and worst to what they did to her.

That’s his going spend his time looking or trying find out who had this poor girl killed ??? Please if he actually cared Vanessa’s murders would be in court as we speak and that would be on everyone’s tv to know who was responsible. Robison didn’t act alone. @@eheheh3263 You apparently didn't watch the whole show. If what was uncovered is bullshit, that bullshit is very damning!!! A guy takes photos of a fellow soldier showering and kills her when she finds out he had so he could escape punishment. The Army covers up the truth like the military always does when their image is threatened. The killer and his girlfriend cut Vanessa up and try to burn her. Failing that, they decide to bury her and cover her in cement. The killer is free but detained, even then, he manages to escape. Once authorities corner him, he blows his brains out. 21 soldiers were reprimanded for their part in the cover up, 17 of whom were discharged.
You people who think all this can be prevented somehow in the future are delusional. This and events like this is who we are as a species. We will never change. The military is not concerned with personnel. That's not their function. They truly could care less about individual soldiers, in other words, they care about numbers, not the faces behind them. From the military perspective, people are tools to be used to protect the nation and nothing more. G.I. Joe = government issue Joe, meaning he is an item of inventory just like his uniform, backpack, mess kit and rifle, etc.
Instances such as this happen and will continue to happen, because that is who we are as a species. Our military recruits most everyone, because that's what America wants, if they didn't, we'd be here complaining about that instead. As a result, we get this.

Seems to me this Mexican family are family oriented, religious, and nation loving Americans. It's a weird contrast to the BS put out by some jingoistic people in the US. Some people come here because they really love this place and they want to make a life for themselves and their children. These people work hard, and were willing to give so much to the US they gave their daughter. A real American tragedy.

Her mother helping search out what happened is heartbreaking. To have such a gaping hole in your chest to not be able to find your child must be crippling.
Vanessa enlisted because she felt she was called to serve. Someone preyed on this young woman. It is time that they find the perpetrator.
Vanessa ran into the misogyny of her fellow soldiers. Someone was causing her terrible anguish. I think they finally took her out. She disappeared. We need to find her.

This breaks my heart as a father of two daughters and retired service member from the Army. All the services should be ashamed of themselves the way they treat victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault. I would never recommend my daughters doing any of the services for that reason. If I knew any young lady that was thinking about joining the military I'd advise against it. This is not an isolated case. There's more both in the media and I'm sure not in the media that we don't know about yet. Come on Military better job holding people accountable for this stuff.

@@mariahm16 something can't be fixed if it doesn't believe it's broken. And, as a former active duty Marine with 8 years of Honorable service, believe me, the military does not believe it's broken and never will. Why? Because it's not! It's functioning as "IT" needs to and sorry to say, it can never and will never function as civilians want it to. Aaron was able to kill Vanessa because the military can't babysit the troops. They have to trust them. Their lives, your lives depend on that ability. Trust. It would be a disaster were the military forced to babysit the troops. The inconvenient truth is, civilian mentalities and sentimentalism are a nuisance to the military's proper functioning. See, to you civilians, Vanessa was important, to the military, she was not. She was just another number, a piece of inventory and nothing more. G.I. Joe, means, government issue Joe, which makes Joe a piece of government property for the duration of his enlistment. To put that concept into perspective: if an enlisted gets a haircut that is eccentric, say a "Mohawk," or something, they would be put up on charges. If they get a sunburn, they can be put up on charges. What would the charge be? In both examples: destruction of government property. That is Vanessa, government property. Vanessa signed the dotted line, knowing she was giving herself to her country for its use. So, what do you do if you lose a pen? You replace it. What does the military do if it loses a Vanessa? They replace her. Now, what civilians call a cover up, is actually nothing more than the time it takes for Criminal Investigation Division to do it's thing, and find out why they had to replace Vanessa. When they find out why, if they think, "you need to know," they'll tell you, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Civilians want answers all along to keep them apprised of the investigation. That doesn't even happen in the civilian world!!! It most certainly will never happen of the military. It can't!!! So, the civilian me agrees with you, this was a tragedy of untold proportions, but to the military, they lost a pen and Aaron Robinson was why. Problem solved: he blew his brains out. The military carries on in your defense. You're welcome.
btw, the murder rate in the civilian world is twice that of the military, and sexual crimes are off the charts higher in your world, so how about you civilians get your ducks in a row before you start whining about the military's? hmmm? What about all other crimes you ask? Yeah, civilians blow us away there too. You see, on the whole, the military are saints compared to you civilians. You're a bunch of animals and sadly, the sole source the military has to recruit from; is it any wonder they get the worst as well as the best that America has to offer?
