Guillen’s fiancé, Juan, and her sister Mayra drove to Fort Hood and began putting up posters. As days passed, they said they weren’t getting answers from the Army.

It’s not just a fort hood issue. It’s a DoD wide issue. If the media wasn’t involved they would’ve labeled her as AWOL to sweep it under a rug. The only way we can prevent this is if we have 3rd party organizations conducting investigations. Military law allows the DoD to do whatever they want. If they want to cover up something they can Bc there’s no accountability.
Adding to that in reality the Army is just high school with a jail set mindset..Standards are applied when they don't like you . Just simply make it if you can . There no values is B.S lost of neligent

When Juan says “The love of my life” Jesus Christ it just breaks my heart she had such a great life ahead of her! The way her sisters, her mother have use their voice to fight for justice is amazing. It is unconscionable that the base misplaced a soldier. I know that you have no access to the base without proper identification. No one is on an armed forces base without clearance.

This breaks my heart. I for one, I wanted to serve in the military and backed down because I knew 100% that as a woman, I would get harassed and her case proofs it. I cried so much because you know those in "chain of command" do not give a single f--- of what happens. Fort hood is not in the middle of nowhere you have cities around fort hood which is like minutes away you have Waco temple harker heights killeen fort hood and copperus cove and georgetown tx fort hood is in the heart of Texas AKA central texas an hour to austin and 3 hours to dallas Houston and san Antonio for those who dont know fort hood is a big ass base you have east fort hood south fort hood west fort hood and north fort hood which is an hour almost 2 to drive around for hood it's gone be at an 2 hour or more or less
