- Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock perform the Scorpions' Blackout with Kirk Hammett of Metallica joining the fun. From the Rockbar in San Jose on 5/3/2015
Great scene, Kirk has always accepted Michael Schenker as one of his main musical and guitar style influences, he is truly happy it might be like a dream come true sharing the stage with one of his heroes 🤟🏼
I can hear much more Michael Schenker in the soloing of Dave Mustaine than in that of Kirk.
It would have been surreal at the moment.
I think that deep inside Michael Schenker admire his older brother as the fantastic composer that he always was.
I don`t think so. The discontent with Rudolfs style I think is shared equally between Michael and Jon Uli Roth.
Screw em. Rudy is the rhythm and the writer. He has had the most success and I think Michael is a jealous jerk. Michael is a great guitar player, maybe not so human@@jcmangan
That smile on Kirk's face...Priceless
he is here like a 7 year old kid in the Lego section in wallmart xD
How cool is that Michael Schenker and Kirk Hammett on the same stage
Kirk is a big fan of Michael... He even said michael was his legacy of his music
And also the original bass player from scorpions
Haven't ever been the biggest Kirk fan but that's badass he's connecting and jamming with his favorites and they're doing it on stage live it's badass
one day I went to see Mickael Schenker and his band in a small concert hall. what a surprise to see on bass: Franz Bucholz and on drums Herman Rarebell. divine surprise and concert of fire.
badass song played by a bunch of badass musicians. Herman, Francis, Michael, Kirk, Doogie
So cool to see legends just having fun
Big day for Kirk. He is a big Scorpion Fan since he was Young.
and UFO....
Out of all the live concerts I've seen in the last 45 years now, I've seen so many different line-ups of the Scorpions, UFO, MSG, Uli's band, etc, either playing together, or on their own, or in various combinations with each other, it's crazy.
That whole group of stellar musicians from those various bands are the apex of post Zeppelin hard rock for me, no one did it better.
Wow,Micheal Schenker w/Kirk Hammett what a treat that is.It totally blows my mind.Awwwweeeesomme!!!!!!
THE absolutely rockin best!!!!
Schenk and Kirk together??
Is this CGI or real??
Timeless..
And even the lead singer dude did a good job of trying to sing the impossible style: Scoprs Klaus Meine..
Man this is a great clip!!!
Probably Kirk's dream gig.
Awesome , Michael & Kirk, The true combination.
awesome thank you 4 sharing
Kirk is so happy 😂❤️
Herman and Francis??? There's 3/5ths of the Scorpions on that stage...
Yes I believe the temple of rock tour reunited the lovedrive lineup , sans klaus but as usual Doogie did a great job.
Nothing remains the same ,when Michael is on set ,and with Kirk.....pffft.
That metal show jam was epic.
Top 10 all times in rock history, Blackout
THESE GUYS ARE ALL OVER 55 YEARS OLD, THERE IS NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING, NEWER AND YOUNGER THAT CAN TOUCH THIS
Lol ok
I completely agree !!
I guess we are now all the old jazzers hoarding our Coltrane vinyl and memorabilia.
How the fuck did that happen ? Lol.
Finally the smile of playing returned back to Kirks face.
Great to see Kurt playing with Michael he really puts Mike on a pedistel which he deserves
This is great!!!!!
Francis and Herman! Legends!
How cool is the best guitarist from the best band in history paying homage to a legacy
no offense but Kirk may not polish the shoes of Michael Schenker
Herman ze German Rarebell on drums!
Is it?… was sad he left. The drummer now is NOT even close.
That's Francis Buchholz too, this is Awesome
Legendary guitaris....very nice moment👍👍👍👍👍
Is it Francis on a bass?
Romchikthelemon Yes, Francis Buchholz on bass.
donbo2001 yay
Romchikthelemon and don't forget Herman Rarebell on drums
+Romchikthelemon yes it is
+Don Wallace Herman Rarebell co-wrote it
Holy fucking moly, why I did not see that before?! Awesome!
Whoever did that solo nailed it
Who did that solo. I thought Kirk would be the one for that?
Wayne Findlay I think
In standard tuning - awesome!
Hell yeah! So nice to see Kirk rockin' out with his hero Michael! He must've been too shy to solo...oh well...still cool as hell!
Guitar Jam Guy love the thumbnail!
It's a fine line between clever and stupid 😆😆😆 Tap rules!
Ha ha - Thanks!!! Indeed a fine line it is!!! Big Bottoms - Hell yeah!!! \m/\m/@@davedecker1725
Best thing about this video is the singer. Sounds just like Klaus !
Doogie White is awesome here.
He didnt sound anything like klaus..
Who played the lead? a mysterious 3rd guitar player somewhere, bad camera man :(
It was Wayne Findlay and yeah, should have given him some face time but when you have Kirk and Michael up there, you get drawn towards the star power. My bad.
hmm, he was pretty good
I hate that shit. It's realy more important to show Kirk Hammett playing that one-chord rhythm during the solo... really?
donbo2001 Yeah, fuck you for having a good time and filming what you felt like during a concert that you went to. 😂
The invisible man played the guitar solo.
Man Doogie got big here, great singer though, love the Rainbow album with him. Seen him a few times too and he always sound great live.
Amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏🤘🤘🤘
That's what MeTaL is about. Memorable songs with Melodies !!
Blacking out my heart
holy S#!T that kicked ass!!!!
The singer is Doogie White
nice...piercing voice like Klaus...thx!
Looked like Don Dokken for a sec
Doogie “smoke a doobie/ snort some white” White.
1:47
Solo guitar at left side
i saw schenker in Holland where a live recently.
He is great!
... and Francis on bass! Herman in drums! Wow - and all you Americans can focus on is Hamster. BTW, that singer, is it Dougie Whyte? Looks like he never had a blackout...
Is that Fracis on bass guitar?
Yes.....
Is that Francis Buchholz on the bass?
That's badass
Not the voice I expected from that singer. Nicely done.
What about the poor guy at the other side of the stage who played a killer solo.... come on people credit were credits due.
Exactly and it was spot on
very good Vid!
~Thought kirk was going to rip that lead up? Some other dude in the back ground did insted?~
Schenker is a king of Heavy guitar
I was waiting for the solo and didn't see it!!!
Hermann Rarebell & Francis Buchholz!
Awesome riff blackout.
There were Herman rarebell ( drum’ scorpions till 1995) and Francis Buccols( bass guitar’Scorpions till 1993)
Perfect!
Blackout! What the rock the rule it is!
Where’s klaus Meine???
Nice to see those guys....the originals...herman ze' german!!!!....awesome!
what a treat
Francis Buchholz in bass...german rarebell in drums....genial.....genial
Sería verdaderamente increible que los originales scorpions volvieran a estar juntos
Old school rock is tha " best hell yeah.
Rather FakeOut. Who was playing main guitar solo, since 2:46 ? Bassist ?
Wayne Finlay
Francis Buchholz
The greatest mystery of the 21st Century...Who Played That Solo?
Wayne Findlay
Amazing 👌👌👍👍🤘🤘
no one playing matthias jabs rhytm part, both playing a same rhytm guitar part of rudy schenker ,and who playing a guitar solo?
Wayne Findley does the Mathias parts. The cameraman just didn't show him.
Incredible, I ve asked the same...
Wayne Findlay plays keyboards and rhythm guitar, and plays the lead on this .
Who played the guitar solo at 2:45? Apparently neither Schenker nor Hammet.
Wayne Findlay. Schenker will not play a Matthias Jabs solo.
Master Pig, you're right! They are a class of their own!
Kirk hat very fun!
what a line up
The singer is Jack Black
Dougie White
Looks like a fat Don dokken
Doogie is the only singer that can sing and hold a tune!
Un clásico!
Michael seems to be just enjoying the whole thing lately...i saw MSG back in 1983.He never smiled back then ☹️
i enjoyed him more back in the day, he didnt smile, but he seemed to play just a bit better
Holy fuck Kirk looks like he's having so much fun. Can't blame him, I would lose my shit playing next to Schenker.
i thinks early scoprions where his heros once as he started playing guitar. its like you could play on stage with metallica.
Imagine you`re playing in the biggest band in the world in front of 1oo.ooos of people. And the best gig you ever had was with Michael Schenker in front of somewhat 8oo noses. 😊
En bajo es el siempre de los escorpiones?
2.47 - who is playing the solo ????
Doogie White is singing this fantastic!
❤❤❤SCORPIONS❤❤❤
Blackout best album from Scorpions, nuff said...
Who is ripping the lead? Mattias there?
Who was playing that first solo?
Michael's born in 55, and 60 here... 60? What is their secret?
Don't die
@@DedMedic it's a metaphor, lmbo...
@@XaviorvorteX I was being funny, I"m old too
The secret is: drink a gallon of water every day & avoid getting too much exposure to the sun 🌞
Dim lighting
I think the singer is stealing Michaels food......
Richard N I think Oreos sponsored this tour.
Richard N that chubby guy can sing though
How are you chubby as a lead singer, I mean all that running around on the stage! Great voice for sure, GREAT BAND!!
Dougie White sang with Blackmore in the last MK of Rainbow and then with Malmesteen. Now with Schenker. Lucky guy
His name is Doogie White.
YES AND YES U 2
🎉❤
At 2min 45 seconds in who's playing the solo
wayne findlay
For those of you asking who the singer is, it's a bloated Doogie White, whom still had a great voice. Here is a much younger Doogie with the band that made him known in the Rock genre, Rainbow. The medley is, "Greensleeves/Street of Dreams", and the beginning is hysterical. ua-cam.com/video/UIFH4T0WihI/v-deo.html
OK, at 5:09 who the heck is playing lead? Kirk and MS are both playing rhythm????
Wayne Finlay
I tink mical n kirk they r realy good fren
HERE COMES SCHENKER!!!!!!
Come on Blackout? Seriously? If they wanted to play Scorpions they could've picked anything from the Lovedrive album which actually featured Schenker on rhythm and leads.
Can I come over? I'll bring Dave from Y&T.
Dave fukn kicks ass. Awesome six stringer too..
Quem tava fazendo o solo se as duas guitarras estava fazendo o riff?
Vocals are great!!!! Dead on Klaus mode!
Kirik up there playing with Mike and Francis wildd
hmm, but neither of them played the solo. who played it then...I guess the mystery guitarist at the way far left, only shown once quick with the dimebag guitar...looks like him too. I thought mike never played scorp songs from albums he wasnt on, as this orig was the great matthias jabs...solo too...which whoever played it here did a nearly perfect if not exact job, so kudos to the mystery guitarist on far left, unless they just overdubbed matthias orig solo!
+progjazzfusion That's what I was thinking!
+progjazzfusion That's Wayne Findlay
+progjazzfusion at 1:45 - 1:50 you can see exactly who is playing the solo
Black out ? This song is out of Michael Schenker era , isn't it ?
it's Scorpions
No. Michael Schenker was again gone from Scorpions at the recording of the, 'Blackout', record by Scorpions, 1982. Mathias Jabs is the lead guitarist.
Yes . Matthias kicks his ass
What's thé Singer ? I think it's Biff de saxon
Yes i think too it IS biff
