This one was much shorter than my usual 20 minute camping videos. During editing I felt this film was much more engaging with the "short and sweet" route. Let me know what you think, do you enjoy shorter videos like this, or do you prefer the usual 20 minutes? or would you prefer even longer and more drawn out videos at around 40 minutes+? Thanks for watching.
As Mattsy said …. Making the video to the length of engaging content you have is the key ….. this definitely includes stuff ups…… And a Beau Miles or Silly Swagman ..Beau Miles inspired collection of failed videos put together as one is also a great watch ……
Great that you hung in there. We appreciate the effort you put in.Thanks I would of called it a day more then once by then..... Totally wild dogs or Dingoes would of been howling away.. Awesome that we could hear them on your audio. Plenty of them out there doing there thing.. But they can still put the wind up you thats for sure. I've been spooked by them more then once or twice.
I appreciate that Anthony. It was awesome hearing them howling, really baffled me as I hadn't heard it before. Seems a lot of people in the comments have experiences with them though.
Nicely done mate. This is the second vid of yours I’ve watched tonight (after Luke shared your channel) and I really enjoyed them. You’ve got a great eye, some of those cinematic shots were really well shot. That sucks about the mishaps, especially the expensive jacket. Hopefully you found it on your walk back? If not, the next bushwalker who stumbles across it is gonna be one happy camper.
Really appreciate you stopping by to watch Scotty. I love watching your videos. You, Luke and Mattsy are what inspired me to start getting into the bush and documenting my experiences. Yeah it sucked to lose that jacket, but the trip and the views made up for it. Unfortunately I didn't find it on the way back, I've returned to the area a few times to look for it, too. I'd say it's properly lost as it's a complete bush bash to get to this spot, there are no trails haha.
Wow, what a wonderful spot! I hope you found your jacket, that would be so disappointing. I lost something off the outside of my pack on a trek one time, ever since that if it doesn't fit inside my pack then it doesn't go, especially if there is any bushwhacking involved. I must say, it was an unlucky trip for you but we were very lucky you went and was able to share it with us! Thanks for that! :) :)
Hahaha "My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined." I'm sorry to laugh but that was beautifully said haha That really sucks though, man. Nothing worse than forking out good money for what should be a quality product and then wait for it to arrive, only to fail on the first use. And then the trip... gold. I think we must've been out in the mountains on the same weekend, I copped the rain but was hidden from the wind fortunately. Id say that was either a wild dog or one that's wandered too far from home and gotten lost. It's very eery when you hear one for the first time. We used to get stalked by dingos and wild dogs up in the Northern Territory when I'd be out with my section in the Army. Every night they'd sound a little bit closer to us. First video of yours I watched and I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts as you tinkered away. Good stuff. Mattsy
Also to answer your question, I think you made the right call making this one shorter. It's taken me pretty much up until a couple of videos ago to realise it's best to align the length of the video up with the level of engaging content you capture on that trip.
It's awesome seeing you here Mattsy, I love your videos. You, Scotty and Luke got me through some nasty times and inspired me to get out into the wild every weekend, and have also ignited a passion and hobby for filming these trips and sharing them. I owe a lot to you guys, so thanks. As for being out on the same weekend, I just checked out your video from today and my mind is blown. I've camped at the exact spot you were at before, and yeah you weren't too far away from me that weekend. What are the chances. Thanks again for stopping by :)
Great vid mate, first one of yours ive seen. Shots and music were great. Cheers, keep up the good work. Hopefully you found your jacket on the way out👍👍🪓🇦🇺
Great video mate. I really enjoyed this one and the scenery was fantastic. I usually do the same with vids (rather 20 minute longer ones or around the 15 minute mark for shorter ones) Personally I like the 20 minutes, cause it's a good amount of time for me to sit back and watch it on the tv with a beer!
Cheers Luke. I just checked out Mattsy's video from today and my mind was blown- Instantly recognised his spot as I have camped there, AND he was not too far from me on the same weekend! What are the odds. I appreciate the feedback on the video length too.

All of the above please, this was amazing but would also love some longer stuff too.

Absolutely epic spot mate. Such an underrated channel this one, so gutted for you when you said you’d lost the oilskin mate.
Thanks mate. When I have some spare time I'm gunna head back out and spend a few hours bush bashing to try and find it haha, wish me luck

Thanks mate, didn't find the jacket on the way out, but I plan to head back and spend a few hours searching the bush for it :)
Not sure about the Blue Mountains but in the high country in Victoria we get Alpine Dingos and they will howl. Good job mate.
Thanks mate, appreciate the info
Ahh the cinema crop, cinematography at its peak. Just keep the videos coming !
Haha I'm glad you noticed mate, thanks for watching

Great videos mate. You should one day try The Gums Coffee, a super satisfying coffee
Thanks Leah :) I’ll check out that coffee too, cheers for the suggestion.
@@RyanWorsman I am certain you will enjoy it, cheers
