Hammock camping we call your tarp set up the " Porch Mode." Great for weather protection when the wind & rain hits you from the backside and total visibility out the front when in the hammock.
This video was a hoot mate. Good to see you on Victorias Very Best, our States official Vitemen B 🤣 and yup a few of them around the fire will make you dance like that hahaha Beautifully shot as well and I always love the music in your vids.
Another cracking good vid ……. Love the Alton gear, you definitely don’t have to go far from your car just because you own ultra light gear ….. I quite often attach one end of my hammock and tarp to my Ute and the other to a tree ….. also love the tunes and the camp fire shindig
Cheers Paul, yeah I think I'll do car camping a bit more often- it makes the filming process a lot easier and means I can enjoy more time around camp. Glad you enjoyed the music ;)
Hey Ryan, be careful of those nasty Huntsmans one jumped on me once when I tried to remove it from inside my home and another ran up the broom handle 🤣 I almost 💩 myself 🤣 Enjoyed another relaxing camping video in out beautiful outback.🏕. thank you ❤ stay safe out there 🕊🙏
Been looking forward to this. Been gettung into tarp camping and seriously considering the net tent you have there. Western Australia camping in summer is definetely not tent friendly for heat but bugs are the issue 🤣 Really appreciating the quality content in an Australian context. The work you must put in to film and edit this together is impressive and it is appreciated.
Thanks for watching Shivas, yeah I love this little tent so far. Can't believe it weighs less than the camera I'm walking around with haha. I'm really happy you enjoy the content. as Scotty'sGoneWalkabout often says, Australia doesn't have a huge amount of camping coverage on UA-cam, so I feel quite honoured being able to contribute to the documentation of this place and share it with others.
Hey dude, really nice vid there. I'm really liking your filming style, really good little macro type shots, looks great!! Also the new lens has made a difference in low light, very jealous! Which camera you shooting with?
Thanks for watching mate :) Yeah the new lens has been so much fun to work with, it's made life a lot easier in darker scenes. I shoot on a Sony A7iii, I'd love to upgrade to the A7Siii but it costs an arm and a leg haha.
Wears heavy boots, trousers, shirt, shemagh and a leather hat.......complains he's too hot 🤣 Still, a good video. You're editing and composition is spot in
Haha yeah mate, our family has a long history of skin cancer and we get burnt really bad really fast. I always cover myself up as much as I can when I go out- means I suffer now rather than later.
Fellow ginger here. I kid you not, I've been sun burnt in January, in Scotland! I was meaning more towards lighter clothing and not skin exposure. I'm not sure even the new lens can handle that level of contrast. Keep the videos coming, you are doing great work. @@RyanWorsman
I’ve used it a couple times since in rain, and while it’s not perfect, I’ve found it gives suitable protection for myself. I definitely wouldn’t use it in a storm though. What I like is the option to remove the front awning poles to quickly increase protection. Thanks for watching

👍👍👍🙏🙏❤❤
beaut
Set-up is not good for rain. And with gust of wind you'll be wet. Depends on how your tarp is set up .
