She'd call him over with a restraining order, then get in a fight with him and call the police. But couldn't call when Jorge was in suitcase. I hope she never sees the light of day.
Did you see where she had called police and Jorge was being told to leave by police and the officers knew that Sarah was the problem. They actually showed compassion for him but because it was a man, he didn't get real intervention.
It was so fast...it was like the jury walked into the deliberation room, one person said guilty, the rest said yep, and they started right away filling out the paperwork. The paperwork probably took longer than the decision.
This trial was not about Sarah. This trial was justice for Jorge Torres's horrible death inside a suitcase. Great respect for the Court, the Judge, amd the Jury for their professionalism.
Yes! Exactly! She wanted to play the victim in this case. I'm glad the jury could set that aside and see what really happened here. Jorge was not a saint but he didn't deserve to die like he did.
It wasn't tho.. So little was spent on the abuse Jorge endured! I don't buy that this was a "toxic relationship" , that they both dished it out is good as they took it... We never see Jorge abusive. The TV? → a bloke doing bloke stuff, alå _Jackass_ meets _the Office_ (smashes printer into dumpster meme )... ..on a TV that's always been broken (true. Evidence being that Sarah kept getting onto her ex to come to fix it. In fact, the only reason they did "puzzles", imo, was because the TV was broken - and they had spent all their money for internet credit, on booze!*). .. And now, Jorge, thinking it might make a comic video of "raging" over a difficult electronic device that keeps playing up, he records himself busting it up! I could see that. 🤷♂️ → Sarah's stab wound? - that could easily have been self-inflicted while she was fall-over-drunk, and cooking, doing "arts & crafts".. or even threatening Jorge with the kitchen knife! I could see that. 🤷♂️ Jorge in that suitcase... that should have been described in minute detail.... the phobia of being buried alive, shared by us all ... exacerbated by being FAR more restricted than any coffin.... and the injuries from being likely tossed down the stairs... he had to be in all kinds of agony & anguish, cramped into that impossibly tiny space. That's without even thinking about the finite O2. ____________ Furthermore, the fact that Sarah was able to straighten Jorge's corpse out to do CPR on him, after noon, the following day, suggests he didn't actually die until well into the morning. He was hanging onto life, on the brink of death up to as late as noon, the next day! (Rigor mortis only takes 2 hours to begin, and 6 further hours to fully set in ..followed by 24 hours before it starts to alleviate. Jorge was alive, in agony ALL FKNG NIGHT !! She never feared him, he died due to her anger over his perceived cheating with women he’d never even met and couldn’t accept she wasn’t receiving his undivided attention despite doing everything to ruin his life by constantly calling the police for incidents she probably started more often than not. Even Brian said she often attacked him snd believed she did the same with Jorge when they were both drunk. She used the police as a stick to keep in line.
She really thought all those videos would vindicate her snd show her as the victim. As a survivor of DV and battered spouse...we do not support or claim Sarah Boone as a battered spouse/partner. You DO NOT act as the aggressor. You DO NOT belittle your "abuser". Sarah Boone was the abuser and Jorge was, sadly, her victim.
I agree 110%. I left a similar comment on a different video. Ive also been a victim of DV and i know...that id walk on eggshells so I wouldnt upset my partner in any way ..Id try to minimize any simple disagreement or dispute..even something as simple as going to McDonald's or bk for lunch. Ive also met many other DV victims..and they allude to the same sentiment..also, sarahs never once spoke of jorge as an actual person and individual.
Agree. It is so clear, how Sarah kept Jorge under control. How he needed to do, what she wanted. Who the dominant one, in the relationship was. Jorge got punished, every time , stepping a bit out of line. Those video's on her phone were horrific. She was not scared. Sarah was not walking on eggshells all the time. It was a mechanism of control for Sarah. Blackmail. We should realise more, that men also can get abused. Like in the Courtney Clenney case. Or Amber Heard. Women can be nasty as well. Jorge was definitely the victim. Controlled by Sarah. The boss. Jorge needed to be submissive. Sarah took her game, too far. Do believe, with her drunken mind, that she didn't realise, Jorge being dead. That she thought punishment, like closet, couch, dogkennel. Wanting a Jorge to say next morning: " I am sorry Sarah, will try harder to never misbehave again...". Drunk twisted mind. Stay safe.
Yes as a dv survivor she was the abuser! The way Sara talked to Jorge is the way my abuser talked to me. She was the aggressor! All her injuries are probably from her being drunk. I would have never talked to my abuser the way she did she wasn’t scared of him. Abusers do have a way to silence you Even though they are in the wrong! The jury was Jorge’s voice! Justice was served! The drunken mess needs prison for the rest of her life!!

I am so thankful that Sarah didn’t take that deal. The abuse Jorge suffered was far worse than I had imagined. The cell phone videos! She recorded herself being the abuser. The primary aggressor. Jorge suffered from battered spouse syndrome and every act of violence her perpetrated was reactive abuse. RIP Jorge Torres. We know the truth.
This is one of the sharpest judges I've seen in any courtroom. One of your guests said something that's very true, there is no my truth there is only the truth.
If Sarah can just blame the family for what she did, then I think the judge may be lenient with her. I don't know if it would be possible to just sentence her to time served, then that would be better than that ridiculous plea deal the prosecutor was trying to force her to sign.
I'm a criminal defense attorney in California. In my opinion, James Owen's performance was horrible. However, Suitcase Sarah was destined for a guilty verdict because she had no reasonable doubt story. She reminds me of many clients I have had, who thought they could talk their way out of it despite the overwhelming evidence against them. She deserves the highest sentence under the law. She wasted the time and resources of the court. She offended the victim's family. She showed zero remorse. Suitcase Sarah stared into the abyss...and the abyss laughed at her with the strong odor of wine on its breath
Yes very well said. I am not an attorney, but I think it was so bad because Owens just did whatever suitcase Sarah wanted. That's why she got along with them, that's why she was always "very satisfied". They let her run the show. They let her feel like she was part of the legal team and not a client. He did the best he could at the 11th hour with Sarah calling the shots.
Too much information. Can’t believe Owens wanted the case thrown out for that. Maybe she shouldn’t have been there at that time, but no one can blame her for reacting to seeing this woman kill her son in such a callous manner.
It was awful of Mr Owens to use the mother's unbearable grief to try to get a mistrial. That proves to me that he did not take this case out of kindness or a sense of fairness. I've been wondering for two weeks what his motive was, and saying so in the various chats. We will see soon enough. I couldn't stand to hear his voice after that, I tuned out when he was on and watched a Danny Kaye movie, checking back to the live stream on mute.
For those who believe she was a battered woman, think about this: imagine being locked inside a suitcase, slowly suffocating, facing the terrifying, panic-stricken moments of a painful death. That was the fate she chose for her boyfriend. She had countless chances to save his life-to unzip the suitcase, to run to a neighbor, to call 911. But she did none of those things. Instead, she watched, and let a man die. No matter what excuses are made, her inaction speaks to her intent, and her conviction reflects that.
And made a video of it to enjoy what she did. And that need for satisfaction, is what did her in. The cell phone has sent more people to prison than any other thing that man has created.
I agree. One of my exes beat and tortured me regularly and I still would never have done something like this. Flipping out in the moment when you feel certain your life is at stake is one thing, but trying to use the battered woman defense with something so calculated is just absurd.
I've watched many a trial in my 47 years but i've never wanted someone to be convicted more than Sarah Boone. He may not have been a model citizen, but she berated, belittled, beat, tortured, and killed Jorge Torres, and i'm SO pleased that justice has been served. Ben Chew could not have been more right: nobody has their own truth. There is only THE truth and we all know what that is in this case. As they say, the truth will out.
He could have been a much better citizen if he had met somebody else than Sarah Boone. Sarah on the other hand had an incredibly friendly and patient partner for decades, and that is how she turned out regardless.
@@brightballoon you clearly have not paid attention then. She wrote many, delusional letters to the judge informing him of how to do his job. Lol. She fired or caused 8 lawyers to quit. She requested professional hair and make up. She requested snacks during trial. Specially naming the number of each item she required. 👀🤔😂 Yeah. She thought she was special. She was just delulu
That’s bc of all of the podcasts and true crime channels that make videos about the case and her ridiculous behavior during the legal process. But now that it’s over, she’ll be forgotten as she rots in jail. She’ll have to keep upping the ante to get attention. We haven’t heard the last of Sarah “shove em in” Boone.
She even mentioned in court appearances (before the trial began) of her “fans” around the world. She tells the judge she received letters from fans as far as South Korea. She’s completely deluded.
She can’t say she wasn’t warned. The judge was very careful throughout the trial to ensure she fully understood everything so she couldn’t use it to say she was railroaded or received poor representation. She got what she deserves. The plea offer was very lenient, but she thought she could convince everyone to see it as she did. Didn’t quite grasp it was a 2nd degree charge and motive/intent wasn’t required, simply that her actions were negligent and directly caused Jorge’s death. She never feared him. He died to her anger over his perceived cheating.
Should have taken the 10 yrs. She could very well die in prison. Judges in FL very seldomly get the minimum. She will be an old woman if she gets out even with the minimum sentence

Ben Chew has been one of favorite attorneys since the Turd/Depp trial. Judge Kraynick is everything a good judge should be. (apologies if I misspelled his name) Another narc bites the dust!
Without evidence of her intent to specifically prolong or intensify his suffering, it may not meet the threshold for torture in a legal sense. When people suffer during death, which happens a lot and is horrible, it still doesn't qualify as that.
They abused each other. It was a toxic relationship fueled by at least booze. She sounds shattered drunk on the video. She didn't intend to kill him. Until she hit him with a baseball bat multiple times while he was stuck in a suitcase. Murder 2 was the correct call. Good Jury. RIP Jorge. I hope you and your loved ones find peace.
Justice was served first when she turned down the plea and second when the jury followed the law. This woman is a predator and a murderer, not a battered woman.
Exactly. All those videos were damning. They clearly showed she never feared him. He died due to her anger over his perceived cheating for messaging other women and couldn’t accept she wasn’t getting his full undivided attention for everything she’d supposedly done for him like bailing him out of jail numerous time, ignoring the fact she put him there by lying to police claiming to be a victim of DA when she arguably instigated most of it. Even Brian, her ex said she often attacked him. Jorge hit her back and didn’t just let her beat on him like Brian did.
@@barbiekat6352 Nah. Being the most generous to Sarah, they were equally toxic, but Sarah clearly had more control than Jorge if the videos are anything to go by and a woman abusing a man is more likely to get physically harmed than a man abusing a woman. That's one reason why female on male abuse is harder to spot.
@@barbiekat6352 The proof is within the trial....Didn't you see her black eye? And the time he stabbed her in the leg....The stitches? They abused each other however.....Letting someone die in a suitcase and laughing at him while he dies in front of her? YIKES!! Alcohol whatever.....................................This was a simply ATROCIOUS Murder!! Just scary and terrible!!
@@barbiekat6352Does him being a terrible person some how dissolve her of being a terrible person? I don’t get this mutual toxicity argument. If two bank robbers get into a relationship then they are still individually bank robbers. No one turns you into the type of psychopath that would put someone in a suitcase and shove them down a flight of stairs. This “toxic relationship” is just some form of victim blaming that George is responsible for being murdered.
Those 5 women in the jury were convinced of Boone's lies and saw straight through them. Furthermore, the tone in which they stated verdict was like a stake through her heart and a real victory for all those, not only female victims but also male victims of real "battered spouse syndrome", and those who suffer from domestic violence. This case should be used in law to highlight that it isn't always the woman that is a victim.
Owens says "Sarah's devastated".... Does she even realize she murdered someone? I've never heard Sarah once say she was devastated that Jorge died a horrible death. I believe the judge will take her total lack of remorse into consideration when sentencing her
Absolutely. When Dalia Dippolito was sentenced for hiring a hitman to kill her husband, the judge spoke very eloquently about her total lack of remorse.
I don't believe there was ever a hide and seek game. I think she hit him with a bat, he fell down the stairs and ended up unconscious. She then stuffed him in the suitcase. He then regained consciousness in the suitcase and began begging for his life, while she videotaped him.
She wouldn’t be Suitcase Sarah if she didn’t break rule after rule after rule. May she hear Jorge’s voice eternally “Babe, I can’t breathe”, and may he be the one that rests in peace eternally.
The judge keep asking Sarah if she agreed with a decision and if she was happy with the assistance of her council, because he knows her! It's in the record that she was happy with how the lawyers represented her, and with the way they represented her. She has no acceptable reason to appeal for ineffective assistance of council! That was a very smart move by the judge!
@@lisagrafton2529 yes!! I was so pleased with how the judge handled this trial with her and keeping her informed on certain aspects, ensuring she understood and agreed with certain moves by her lawyers and asked her at every stage if she agrees with her lawyers, if she is happy with their counsel, if she is still in agreement to the defense of her so she cannot comeback next week writing letters about how her lawyer didn't do this ir that or she didn't understand why this or that she wants a new trial with a new lawyer because these lawyers proceeded without her permission. The judge knows her enough to know if he hadn't covered those bases he'd have a letter on his desk this morning. He handled this phenomenally

@@rebelduck9077 exactly! I was going to comment this as well. Anyone can study the condition and pretend to have it. It’s a shame that these doctors are not able to spend time w ALL of evidence. She'd call him over with a restraining order, then get in a fight with him and call the police. But couldn't call when Jorge was in suitcase. I hope she never sees the light of day.

Stay safe.

Well said💋🤌
Very well said!
Perfectly said!
@@AngryLawyer87 His Battered Spouse defense was absurd
I felt an ache in my own womb when Jorge’s mother had to leave the court sobbing. My heart goes out to her and the Torres family!
Exactly. And, two wrongs don't make it right.
I agree. One of my exes beat and tortured me regularly and I still would never have done something like this. Flipping out in the moment when you feel certain your life is at stake is one thing, but trying to use the battered woman defense with something so calculated is just absurd.

I’m glad to hear that, because that’ll be a factor in sentencing
The judge keep asking Sarah if she agreed with a decision and if she was happy with the assistance of her council, because he knows her! It's in the record that she was happy with how the lawyers represented her, and with the way they represented her. She has no acceptable reason to appeal for ineffective assistance of council! That was a very smart move by the judge!
Yes I agree he covered that at every opportunity. One of the better judges.
She will spend years appealing everything because she still thinks she can outsmart the whole world.
💯. Yes, he knows her!!
This makes me love Judge Kraynick. Also she normally said yes to his question about if she was happy or not. One of the last times he asked her and she said “definitely!” She can’t deny it now.
What’s terrifying is that these so called “professionals” can get up on the stand and say things like SARAH BOONE was a battered spouse. Any person can see that she was the abuser. He was the battered one. Her ex husband, Brian Boone, is also on body cam footage saying how abusive she was to him and THEIR SON! She’s an evil monster. She lured Jorge there w a game night and his favorite movie etc. she’s psychopath.
They’re paid experts - Owens is as full of bs as Sarah
Experts are only given portions of the evidence and don’t get to spend time with the defendant. They’re not TREATING physicians only forensics. Also. Sarah had plenty of time to research defenses and familiarize herself with the terms. That’s why she rolled the dice. She wanted to make herself a textbook battered spouse. But her LIES were her undoing.
@@rebelduck9077 exactly! I was going to comment this as well. Anyone can study the condition and pretend to have it. It’s a shame that these doctors are not able to spend time w ALL of evidence. That should change because I do believe juries usually put a lot more weight on what the professionals opinions are and if that’s the case, they should have All of the information and not just bits and pieces of it.
@@100Mickl 100% some of these “experts” are willing to twist everything to fit the narrative that they’re getting paid for. Shameful!
You can get experts to say just about anything for the right price unfortunately, but thankfully the jury saw through all the bs and judged it simply on the facts of what they saw. A very controlling and manipulative and vindictive women who felted scorned by his perceived cheating for messaging other women. It was never about fear, but anger.
Not a tear in her eye ! Jury got it right
She has NEVER Cried….
NEVER Cried 1 time….
When Sarah rejected the plea, the judge asked her if she understood that the minimum he could give her was 22 years.
She sealed Jorge in a coffin and turned her back and walked away. Sara is a woman with zero compassion and deserves no compassion. Rest in peace George.🕊️💜💕🌸
Well, she SAID she went up to bed (turned her back as you said,) but only SHE knows that--she may well have taunted him after he was silent for an hour.
@@privatename2648I believe she was with him taunting him when he took his last breath. All premeditated and I believe she beat him to make him get into the suitcase. There was no hide and seek game
Jorge died the same as being buried alive. So happy she didn’t take the deal.
@@carolscott4813 MAN their coming back so QUICKLY with that guilty verdict was sooo satisfying, ☺
That smirk is finally GONE!! Justice for Jorge and his family!!! She showed no remorse, shame, compassion.... Give her the max!!!!
Buh bye Sarah, enjoy your new home!
Looking forward to sentencing! This woman has ZERO REMOVED and it’s sickening. After all her bs and the cruel way she unalived her victim she should get LIFE, zero parole but not ll take 80 years to life 👍
🎶 Sarah’s going to jail forever! 🎶
Rest easy Jorge, she is finally being held accountable for all of her abuse. You deserved so much better.
I hope the Torres family can begin their healing journey knowing the world knows Jorge was very, truly a long time victim of DV under Sarah. He didn’t deserve any of what she put him through.
Ahhhhh YAYYYYYY GOD HEARD MY PRAYERS ❤🎉 Yay justice for Jorge ❤❤❤
Well said, & so true. No one ever thinks that a man can be brutalized & disrespected …by a woman bravo. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼TY, for your kind words. 🫡🫡🫡 AMOR JORGE. R. I. P. NOW
Amen Ralph. Poor man, tormented by this evil demented woman, who not once cried or apologized for what she did.
That should be the refrain, similar to the Lizzie Borden theme chant!
Can we give a huge applause to the prosecutors 👏 they got it right esp in the closing words🙌🏼
Yes! Mr Jay, especially, knocked the closing out of the park
Yeah, they really had me fooled until they unearthed the extra abuse videos on Thursday. And the closing statement and final rebuttal were brilliant. Up until then I was expecting a hung jury.
👏
I actually think both sides were horrible. He did a very good job on his closing, though.
@ yeah the extra abuse was cringe worthy😣
THANK YOU BEN CHIU! (SIC) Thank you for clearing stating, what's obvious to all thinking humans; THERE ARE NOT VERSIONS OF THE TRUTH! THERE IS NOT MY TRUTH, & YOUR TRUTH! THERE IS ONE TRUTH! Thank you Ben!
Juror #3 was over it. He was ready to go home. 😂
😂😂
In another interview on Court TV Jorge ex wife of 17 years said their was never any DV in 17 years. Jorge was the victim here.
She said “he was a lady’s man,” ie he was likely a repeated cheater. But he wasn’t violent. Sarah is all about control.
Also i have looked into jorge there was never any police contact until he meant sarah.
Even the video of Jorge smashing the TV looks staged, doesn't it? Like Sarah MADE him do it
@@RistiluuHave a feeling, that the tv was already broken. Sarah said on the stand, it was because Brian came over, to fix tv for son. Jiorge mad about that. I have a feeling, tv already broken, and Brian could not fix tv. Lets smash it, before we take it out to dumpster.
I dated a guy who beat his ex and never put hands on me. So Jorge did beat her but so did she it was mutual
I’m willing to bet money that Sarah will not even thank her team of lawyers and staff.
In fact she probably is going to blame them for her lost. I also think Sarah is going to send another letter to the judge. 😆
I think you are right.
if she does thank them it would be performative like so much else she does. she's an actress, but not a good one
I hope the Judge sends back any letters, unopened.
Those jury members were saying yes, before that lady was finished asking them if it was their correct verdict!
JUSTICE FOR JORGE TORRES!!! 💜💜💜 PRAYERS FOR HIS FAMILY🙏🙏🙏
I couldn't understand hiw Sarah Boone was able to go calmly to the suitcase and handle as she did without showing some form of sorrow. To me she was cold and uncaring
I had not seen a murder taking place before and i found it most upsetting and traumatic. All the last of his breath and energy pleading for life 😭💔😭
She acted like it just a normal suitcase, PTSD my flat behind. Evil woman.
Everyone's tired of hearing you, Owens. Give it a rest. Your client is a murderer and Jorge was the victim. He was always the victim.
When he said 45 minutes at sentence, I lost it
I believe u did 100% in her trial no understanding to DV is given.
Always. It’s evident that if anybody was a battered spouse it was Jorge.
I like Owens.
Owen's was only doing his job to defend his client. Obviously, you don't know that.
She was so arrogant to think that the jury would not see through her BS 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
She’s appeared smug with a smirk on her face throughout.
Justice served.
The last recorded videos of her recording him was absolutely sad and has definitely showed who was the aggressor!
I’m so glad Ben, the attorney stated it was not a tragedy she didn’t take the deal. Phillip the attorney was disgustingly inappropriate with that statement. Jorge needed justice, and it’s tragic that he’s dead.
“There’s one truth. “
Well said, Ben
She is obnoxious and evil. She abused him, it's so sad the way she treated him. If she really was afraid, she could of called the cops while he was in the suitcase, she murdered him!
The Blue Eyed White Dragon has been SLAYED!! Well done Jurors. I am glad Sarah didn't take the plea deal. Hopefully the judge goes hard on her and locks her up for life. Justice for Jorge.
So sick that she tried to pay herself underhanded compliments (like "blue eyed white dragon") just hours after murdering Jorge. The family said they were baffled by the police cam footage where she claimed this so-called nickname had been bestowed upon her by the Torres family. She is a racist who thought she was better than Jorge, and she played that up in the hours after Jorge's murder when she hinted at requiring witness protection from Jorge's family because she was such a beautiful and strong white woman. What hubris, what delusion.
The judge won't give her life. He's too nice.
Ben Chew! The voice of reason!
YES!!!!!!! JUSTICE SERVED!!!!
It's NOT sad that she didn't take the deal, she deserves prison for the rest of her life.
Thank you, Ben Chew, a voice of reason
She’s getting 30 to life. Judge will hammer her and judge will read a summation justifying her sentence.
Good prediction! I think you may be right, but we will have to wait and see 👍
I sure hope so.... I think she should get life without parole....
Judge K is DONE with HER
I hope Judge Kraynick re-reads those nasty letter she wrote to him and about him. He didnt deserve those letters! He was a great Judge through this hole trial and prior having to deal with psycho Sarah!
That's what I'm thinking- 30 years to life
Justice has been served! 🇺🇸
