I like how Iai is basically his main stance which you’ll use often. Perfumer is easy punish, but Iai stance is amazing. You have a combo from 1, and strong attack on 2. It’s good to use on those running in and 1+2 mainly to chase since it has amazing range. His 2 combo is easy air combo too, which makes him the most beginner friendly character ever.

I’ve been playing ghost a few times and realised a lot of his strings can be interrupted. Especially in Iai stance. Spamming that stance too much will make it so they will rock, paper, scissors on your attack. If blocked, then you will either have to do three things. 1. Do not follow through and wait to use power crush 3. If low, then use parry. There are only two choices once you stop. Anything else is slow enough to interrupt. 2. Cancel stance into B1+2 power crush. 3. Cancel to evade a low with B1+3. This one can be interrupted with a string. But heavy hits get whiff punished easily.
I got another Q Ive seen ppl doing 1 teleport 1 teleport 1 teleport loop during the lai stance, whats the input for that? I know his teleport back is pressing upbackward & back but I cant do this during the loop

I find him easier to use than my original main, but because I’m switching mains my brain keeps pressing the wrong buttons. My reflexes are geared towards the wrong moves right now. He has good lows but you don’t need them too much. What you need to remember are the mids because because he can force people to crouch with his 1 2 combos. My current crucial flaw is that I keep baiting the opponent to crouch, then doing a low. Which anyone could tell is a counterintuitive setup. His lows are basically used to slip up those trying to get aggressive. His standing parry does no damage but it does get opponents out of your face.
Nice guide! A personal thing I like to do as a wall combo after a wall carry or wall splat is 21f > Perfumer 22 It's not the most damage but it leaves me at Lai stance to do a 50/50 mix up for another potential wall splat or a scary low
One of the best distance moves is just shooting his gun into Iai stance, then you have the option of waiting until they run into your 2, or be chased by 1+2.

you can also cancel iai 11 with down and loop 11d 11d. And I think you get a really damaging u1+2 after heat dashes that dont launch. Don't quote me on that though
Why do you need to sidestep after Iai 2 on the launcher combo before downforward 3? The combo challenges do the same kind of thing without the sidestep, and I haven't run into a situation where I downforward 3 doesn't connect or something. Does it reset scaling or something weird? Just for positioning?
maybe its because I played so much noctis in 7, but victor seems relatively simple to me. hes got a little bit of everything, def gonna main him for the first while

As a Lars main, hes absolutely a remake of Lars. His perfumer stance is dynamic entry in every way, the command is even the same. He has Lars UF3 but its just UF4 lol. There's others but I wont go into it. I dont know another character other than Lars and picked Victor to be the second character I learn. He seems like the perfect secondary coming from Lars. I main & use only him & im the #2 ranked highest on Xbox rn & red rank as of now- after 200+ matches he’s… fun, but mid tier at best. Side step is meh, strings + mix require heavy commitment & are highs so.. hopefully he doesn’t get nerfed or anything. Also, his warp backwards & gun could use some recovery frame buffs, it takes a lot of frames to recover imo.
@@oliviermaker8578 you can't change the colour of his sword unless there's a mod i'm unaware of? The colour might change in battle but you can't actually change the colour of the light inside it in customisation mode

The standing 2 combo can be used as filler tbh. It sets them up for a second combo after ending with 3.

it can come from a few situations, if you bait a move and whiff punish it straight into a wall splat or if you combo and carry them to the wall

Been playing him since launch loving him so far. I like Reina too but not as much.
Also a great homing move is uf2. Literally range 3.5 mid that’s homing and safe. Not great damage and nothing on counter hit but still ridiculous

His sword stance is Iai, not Lai. Iaijutsu is the art of sword fighting from the draw.
