@@lexlugo87 1=X 2=Y 3=A 4=B. Down Back or Down Forward are diagonal directional inputs. The orange button color on screen is 4/B, Green is 2/Y, purple is 1/X, Blue is 3/A.

Hey man, this is a great tutorial for Raven and I really appreciate it!
Just a bit of constructive feedback: this video would’ve been much easier to follow along with if you kept a display on the screen of the buttons that correspond to the moves and combos you’re talking about. The in-game commands are incredibly tiny and scroll very quickly, making them hard to keep up with. Also, it would help to define what 1, 2, 3, 4, qcf, etc. is at the beginning of the video. I was totally lost with that. Remember that beginners are coming to this video, you have to assume that we’re not familiar with those codes and inputs yet.
Like I said, great tutorial and I love how you structured it, but you lost me quickly because you explained it to a beginner as if I was advanced
A really easy combo with 74 dmg is: F,F,3 > F,F,3 > d+b,2,1 > b+2,4,2 > b+2,4,2, you can replace last b242 with the heat attack

Really like how this guide strikes a balance of “here’s what you need to know so you get an idea of what makes character good” without overloading me with information like some 2 hour guides or just not giving me enough info for a proper basic gameplan. I’m already thinking of things to add from watching this now. Good job man.

I'm really glad Raven is back! I haven't played him since tekken 5 and surprisngly the movelist resemblance is pretty recognisable with revolutionary changes. The key here, as it was in Tekken 5, is the back turn. And realized it after seeing this in depth mechanic's analysis, in which I never payed the attention it deserved back then. Now I see it as a neutral, meaning necessairy. Hope I'll make it work. Your guide really helps dude! Always watching from the best!

I've never played Tekken, but I really like the look of Raven.
Really like this, if you ever make an updated guide or another you might wanna put the notations on screen. This makes it way easier for newer players. Or making it more clear what moves youre using, im often pausing or rewinding to check the input bar

When talking about ws2 at around 5:45, you mention there is a free mix with the plus frames. What low would you use to mix the mids with? I'm currently going through this video with tekken up, practicing everything you talked about, and taking notes lol.

Played hwoarang for the last couple days cause i like the kicking archetype but was struggling alot. Decided to try Raven instead and having alotta fun. Seems slightly easier to use and way more flashy lul. Thanks for the guide
Raven feels way more versatile in most positions, if i misinput in a combo i can almost always save it with another move and get close to the same damage

Picked raven as a main and this is the first time i was serious about getting good in a fighting game and this helped me alot,he is complex but he has so many options in every position thst i feel like it's not too hard to execute good combos
you don’t exactly need the harder combos but the hard ones do quite a bit more damage so it’s worth it imo

It’s cool to see ff3 seemingly connecting more consistently with stuff and how the combos setup are a little different. While I get other characters had some stuff at wall tweaked, shame chakram at the wall kinda doesn’t work out the same
yeah it doesnt work exactly the same, but still works. You need to tailspin before the wallsplat to get it now!

I don't know if you mention it at some point but I was wondering about punishes with him. Is it impossible to punish blocked rage arts with a launcher with Raven? Is his ff3 his fastest launcher or is the 15 frames deceptive because it requires a dash input? Probably noobie questions

Don’t do it too early, a quick qcf1 is all you need. If you’re getting jabs it means too early

There's a move I seen in another guy's fight video where he did a shadow clone counter. He came back with a counter teleport dive kick after taking a hit. This move is not in the move list any idea how it's done?

is [launcher] ff3 ff4 1 ff3 1 b242 into the qcf12 ender at 71 damage not considerable easier than the 74 damage option for better damage than the alternatives? Is the wallcarry just much worse or something?
ff3? 💀 yes you can do that combo because it’s easier and still has good wall carry

First of all thank you very much for you detailed Videos and explaining everything. I'm just trying to figure all out and its pretty tough for beginners to get the details and timing right. So at 5:20 you explain while standing 2. And you get +8 on that. I tried it for a while and get -8 every time. Did they patch something or am I doing something wrong here?

I’m so sorry to be confused on this.🤣 I get you mean “while standing” 3 2 (a b/x o) but I still get the qcf 3 every time I try it. And standing doing light kick it has no string other then 334 and I’m just lost.🤣 I did it once early on when trying it but can’t for the life of me figure out how to get it reliably

only ones i did were b1+3 or bt f1+2
