I am 62, been around gardens my whole life. flowers vegies you name it! What I think would help your plants grow would be deeper soil. but be that as it may, you need t till the soil a bit aroung the plants, fertilize them and water them a bit more. Sweet peas come back year after year, and your snap peas are ready to pick as soon as the pea inside the husk is a size you like, usually the smaller they are the more tender. Love watching you garden because my heart will not let me due to AFIB. The poppys and wild flowers are beautiful!
@@DebbieClark-w2h thanks I’m hoping that when I make some compost bins I can put all my dead plants on it to rot down to compost to use on the beds . Your right I need more soil and to feed the soil too thanks
There are 2 types if I am correct of Nasturtiums. The cascading (often seen in planters drooping down from balconies) and the climbing ones. I have the cascading Citrus Flower colour assortment with variegated leaves. Grew them for the first time this year. They even attracted hummingbirds. I wish I could send you seeds. Thank you for sharing. 💕
Sun...whats that? 😂 Mancunians exists to rust. Wet wet and wet. With a sprinkle of sunshine. None the less your growing things and they look pretty good. Your cabbages look delish. I love vegetables myself. Especially dark green cabbage. I'd have no trouble eating the red either. I'm interested to see how well your beetroots grow. Its another favourite, though we've never grown them ourselves. They taste so lovely when fresh out of the ground without pickling. You could have just used some string to tie your netting up, but the screws make it much easier to just hook on and off. So 👍 to that idea. I'm enjoying these episodes. Seeing things develop and grow. 😊x The allotments all look very well looked after. Thanks for the tour.

Pick the peas when the pod is full (when they are a decent size pea inside). On the Sweet peas, once you start cutting them they will produce more flowers for you.
Always look forward to your allotment videos. Love seeing it come along. Your wildflowers are so gorgeous everything seems to be coming along well. Your poor sunflowers. Hope the new ones do well for ya. Last few days been gloomy gray skies and rain. But we sure need the rain from the dry spell we had. Those towels you got from temu I was thinking about ordering some myself but wasn't sure. But I may have to give them a try. As always have a great week.
Hi Your plot looks beautiful. So pleased your efforts have produced all that produce,as it were😅😅. Not sure what you can do with that big bag. Maybe for odds and ends that you want to leave for later use. Have a great week❤❤
What a beautiful job with all of your vegetables, I wish I were there to eat some when they are ripe! Just wonderful all the flowers 💐 my goodness you are not a novice anymore Missy! Have a fantastic week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜 WOW those cabbages
Have no worries about the sunflowers not working out this year. Every year brings different challenges, I 'always' grow great peppers, until one year, for no good reason I can figure, they didn't grow. As soon as you get confident, Mother Nature seems to let you know she is in charge. We do what we can, it is that it is, and that's all it is, nothing more. You go a great job, Cheers
id say direct sow sunflowers may not worked but starting from seed not a bad option if you start at home in tray and pot up a few times so when you bring them to allotment they are a size they can survive. maybe option for next year to sow some during colder times on a sunny window sill at home and time spring arrives they ready to go. the ones you direct sow in o ground may not been great but starting at home im sure you have a much better outcome
Your garden bag may be big but better to be to large than to small, your lot is looking great. Try beer traps for slugs and snails no nasty poisons around your vegies, let them die happy😅😂
I like watching these vlogs but they seem to be so late eg this weeks planting sunflowers etc. also the seed craft selection was from a couple of months ago? Am I looking at the wrong vlogs?
