Check a switch that is under the engine hooked up to the transmission crank shaft they are made out of plastic and the male prongs and female plugs sometimes dont meet and faul to close it
I would have done had the customer not tried several different ECUs in it. We had an EWS anti tampering fault code and our diagnostic machine couldn't re-synchronise it.
@@Papa77sGarage I have the same exact thing going on with my 2007 mini Cooper a crank but no start issue and I just so happen to let a bloke clone my ECU/ DME and after that was done my car still didn't start. I'm not sure if I have an EWS fault code but if I do is there still any hope? Could it still be fixed? And is it worth it?
@@Detoxingforlife I would try end get the fault codes read to be sure. I've had EWS faults on BMWs before and I was able to resynchronize it however with this mini and a previous one it the CAS module needed replacing. Good luck
@@Papa77sGarage ok not so bad I actually already have my cats module out the dash where I can easily disconnect and connect a new one when needed. How did you find out it was the cas?
Minis have got to be Bmws worse partners. I’ve dealt with so many minis that lose the entire DME bcuz of a ground screw. A drop of water hits the Bcm1/Jeb/fuse box and it’s done, the crank sensor is basically floating with the screw lol sheesh
I have problems with my mini cooper spark please help me
Great video!
