I really enjoy this series and the guy doesn't come off as a douche bag or some stuck up hipster like most of the people Munchies chooses. This guy and Eddie Huang are my favorites on the channel
I'm really enjoying these videos. For all the people that don't like it then it's just not for you. But i was born in Lancashire and moved to Florida when I was 13 so these really bring me back to the food and the places I remember as a kid. I think its a great series and look forward to more.
It seems silly now, but the rare gift of a sweet treat was quite the thrill in much of the world. I'm 57 and of poor family in the USA and was delighted with simple candies as a child, on holidays. I think there is a clip up of one of the only places left in the USA which makes ribbon candies, which thrilled me no end as a girl. The machine for that is complex and the labor heavy. I was delighted also with simple, crude rock candy on a string. Looks as though a basic stick of rock is pretty practical.
@@peachylady Thank you for clearing that up, Natalie. Too many men in here! You are a fine young woman and woman deserve to speak and have their voice heard. (that chick definitely a dirty slag though, i'd give her one)
I'd love to have this guy for dinner at my house; "what do you think of this pea and ham soup Ben?" Ben: "Its just so good, oh my lord its just great" "what do you think of these bones i just fed my dog ben?" Ben: "They're amazing, just great food man"
Making that "rock" (it sounds like a drug to me, sorry) seems super difficult and I love the effort put into it. Nice to see people producing something like that they can be proud of. Plus...the owner (or whatever she was) was pretty easy on the eyes. And I love that Blackpool accent on women, especially the "os" and "us". Super cute.
8 years later... And it gets depressing when you realise that lad at the start was actually groomed by a gang based in Blackpool and they just have him performing card tricks for cash.
My French spouse thinks I'm batty but when I find some for sale when we are on vacation in places with Brits around, I try to buy some. It reminds me a bit of the old Heinz 57 sauce, which I found superior to A-1 in the USA.
calum ryan Not in France, and it grew difficult in the USA before I left 20 years ago. It's not necessary -- a good steak, for example, is best left plain, but hey, I did like the stuff anyway! :)
Ive never tried it, but I can get it here in Canada. I like my steak just marinated in garlic and olive oil, but I'd def try it. (oh and sometimes montreal steak spice)
why is it when ever i watch a left hander on tv or something does it look like their actually right handed and the director told them as a creative choice to use their left hand
Who the hell cares about Blackpool rock. You buy it as a souvenir and then it lies around at home until its eventually thrown away. The fresh doughnuts are what it's all about. They're so god damn good
What is your problem? the weather looked off that day so it probably doesn't look "incredible" but no doubt its a really great place, no need to put one place down to bring another up. you come across as an insecure bully.
I really like how positive this host is. He's enjoying his environment, and talking to real locals, it's nice.

Agreed
I swear this comment is on literally every video that Munchies posts, regardless of the host.
could listen to him all day, watched these a few times
we need names
Still a little too much on the woke train though, throwing in some forced commentary about Thatcher and then race
that card trick tho?
yeah fairplay to that kid i thought that was going to be shit
RIGHT, kid killed it🤘🤘
Made me chuckle...showed me hubby and even he was impressed

I lived in Yorkshire for 5 years and I'm really enjoying these vids.
Sure takes me back!
Why would your parents take you to a alligator infested hurricane farm like Florida, away from England?
Wow pretty amazing the effort and skill that goes into making that rock

This host is great and so is the series, well done.
The sexual tension between the Rock Factory owner and the presenter is almost palpable
+melvinceltic Yeah, right after I hit it!! She looks damn good!!
i did not see nothing n8
No wonder she changed her hoodie to something else.
david noone she is an actress on Coronation Street now
She's somert else her
I like how candy girl is first wearing sweat shirt, and then all of a sudden is in a dressy-stringy top....
Probably because when they made the candy it was hot in there and before she met him outside...? Use your brain, not your dick to think.
@@peachylady cald down pet this is munchies not Buzzfeed

7:56 lmao that classic action bronson beard move
lol I know that was a slick reference
Just discovered Munchies and this lad Ben is brilliant. Fascinating about pies, rock, sweets, the scouse
I'd love to have this guy for dinner at my house;
"what do you think of this pea and ham soup Ben?"
Ben: "Its just so good, oh my lord its just great"
"what do you think of these bones i just fed my dog ben?"

Amazing how the guy loves all the food. Never something he dislikes. Once again, amazing.
Scouse = "so good" jamaican food = "so good" beer = "soo good" its all......."so fucking good" lol
The bread = "incredibly good"
This is the best series on youtube
The Lady touring him around the rock factory is flirting with him so much !
I'd be flirting with her too.
I wonder how they get the fish flavour on the rock?
she wanted the D
She was fit as a fiddle M8
She's an actress
Nicola is freaking gorgeous
+sugreev2001 Looks like she did some acting on Doctor Who
From corrie
Yep, she's a beauty!
"This in a pie would be incredibly good as well" - 09:40 - never heard something more english than that.
Loving the Guide to the North.
i liked the little Bronson reference with his hand on his beard, cool touch!
Best scouse in Liverpool isn't in Maggie Mays's it's in me nans kitchen mate.
you should've asked your nan to invite them over
best host here! How he looks into that cam with his piercing eyes and then his voice hypnotizing me...and that he nails the journalism kills me!

Outstanding video...This city seem like a wonderful place to visit and eat great food!
An excellent MUCHIES host. A bit too complimentary but still probly the nicest one Ive seen yet on this channel. Best regards
Keep the vids coming!! Munchies is my favorite channel!!
Can we just talk about how good looking this Guy is
samurai seema Lets start with how blue his eyes are....
Dead sexy and I'm straight....I think...
+Pej ugay u gay bruh
his eyes tho
Thought I was straight as well, till I saw him.
The beer guru at 10:16 is wearing a Polar Skate Co. shirt. I like that.
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
8 years later... And it gets depressing when you realise that lad at the start was actually groomed by a gang based in Blackpool and they just have him performing card tricks for cash.
Love this episode
Blackpool is nice when it’s near the coast, but when you go into it further, it’s a right mess
"i think it degrades rock" LOL
Prospectz 95 lol
You're not wrong, Liverpool is class!
that action Bronson shout out was funny
Was literally about to comment about the scouse and action bronson but you beat me to it
You can find good food in Northern England, if your definition of good is "fried" and food is "anything that go into the fryer".
When you said omg there's so much rock I thought you was talking about crack in Blackpool
Plenty of that here too.
That woman in Blackpool was pat phelens daughter in Corrie
Do a guide to sweden/stockholm!
very good presenter
Is that the same kid in the Little T documentary at 0:20?
Liverpool is Amazing!
It’s incredibly good.
Ben went to the same place as Action Bronson to get scouse in Liverpool, it's a small Munchies world.
Did you catch his sly imitation of Action B while eating?
calum ryan
Nice one :D
Although the bird from Corrie in the rock factory 👌👌
this guy loves saying good
WOW, who is this beautiful man??
HP Brown sauce!!! I'm hooked on that stuff
My French spouse thinks I'm batty but when I find some for sale when we are on vacation in places with Brits around, I try to buy some. It reminds me a bit of the old Heinz 57 sauce, which I found superior to A-1 in the USA.
CuteCatFaith you can still get Heinz 57, cant you?

how did that kid do that trick 0.0 I've seen it done on TV before but never like that
i like these series in UK
Nicola is now an actress. Surprise surprise.
can vouch for the ragga's festivals and dumplings, fucking awesome!
Do a guide to Ireland
lol this guy looks like a gangster but.. is so proper
Blackpool isn't the Las Vegas of the North (as in North of England). It could be like Atlantic City. Or if without casinos, the English Santa Monica.
Just to let you know that I live in Las Vegas. Fuckin' awesome lights!
like how the scouse jamaican restaurant guy is subtitled lol
Whens number 3 out?
She is from coronation street
That BLT
The action Bronson reference ahaaaaa
I want him to say something is "soo good" again
Manchester next!
Who the hell cares about Blackpool rock. You buy it as a souvenir and then it lies around at home until its eventually thrown away. The fresh doughnuts are what it's all about. They're so god damn good
This is very different Blackpool from what “Bald & Bankrupt” portrayed in his UK video. That Benjamin guy has lost touch with his own country.
She'll rock yer world
she is beautiful
Isn’t she in Corrie?????
5:50 the most beautiful and arousing sight…EVER!
liverpool got it going on
to all Ants.......Blackpool...your home sweet home....
Basically a BLT sandwich without the tomato added @13:03
"Incredible Beach"?? Lol
Come to Australia and let us show you real beauty!!
What is your problem? the weather looked off that day so it probably doesn't look "incredible" but no doubt its a really great place, no need to put one place down to bring another up. you come across as an insecure bully.
Gawd he's so fine
represent lancashire
Rock is great
Can someone tell me the song at 11:23
Anyone know the song at the very end?
Nice fella but does he know any descriptors other than "good"
Ben is so good looking
If everyone in Blackpool is as fit and friendly as that factory owner then i have to go there.
Seems nice.
This guys got a reasonable historic knowledge to the food, but his descriptions are pretty dull, every things just... so good.
Incredible beach?
That women in the factory is an actress on coronation street.
9:00 as a non British person I didn't understand any of that...
Johhny Sins dat u? Mah man!
That Bacon Butty tho! oh my - Signing out from Canada.
I'm sure she was stuck between a rock and a hard place after the filming, if you pick up what I'm putting down.
Is the woman from corrie?
but that's so good
Great vocab I guess everything he tries is"sooooo good". A 7yr old can do his job.
Who expected to Nicole to be so fit! Knocked me for six that!
He looks hard as fuck that rock maker!
He IS the rock
clearly off the packet constantly touching his nose in liverpool
Chef at the Jamaican restaurant reminds me of Keegan-Michael Key.
Was up there the other day just smoked loads of bud on the way an scranned doughnuts an shit 😂
That kids card was either marked or cut and it was very obvious
Why did this creep me out?
I think he meant to say that Blackpool is the Atlantic City of England. It looks nothing like Las Vegas.
