Shin Conditioning: a Progressive Workout for Strengthening your Shins | Martial Arts Explained

- Shin Conditioning, contrary to widely held assumptions, is a routine handed down for centuries by Shaolin Monks and still implemented among many Asian fighting sports. Furthermore, scientific proof can be found in Dr. Wolff's studies in regard of Bone density.

WARNING: this video shows the advanced version of Shin Conditioning, performed by Fabio Zambelli - 24 years of experience in Shaolin Martial Arts. Beginners are strongly advised to have performed low-intensity and bag conditioning exercises first. Don't search for quick results as Martial Arts also mean years of constant and progressive training, where results arrive after tiny and daily improvements.

question : if I do this for one year for example and after I will stop , is my tibia stay strong forever or I sould do this along my life carrer ?
Mr Nation's Man, every form of training is revertible: you need to keep going to achieve results. It would be everyone's dream if one sporadic training session could keep its benefits all life long. After all, Perseverance is the only thing drawing a line between amateurs and professionals. It involves strong mind-set, but if you are motivated, nothing will stop you. For this particular shin-conditioning exercise-set, consider that one-week stop is already too much. Two-three weeks would be like starting from scratch. - Shifu Fabio Zambelli - Martial Arts Explained
Ur tibia dont be stronger, ur sense go.out, only this, the resistance of the bone dont changz
@@pranoic I think you're 50% right 50% wrong. This kind of exercice makes lose sensitiveness yes, but the micro-fibers of the bone become definitively stronger and more resistant than before. It just, it's not as hard as iron though. And the risk can be that by losing sensitiveness, you can think you're invincible and hit thoughtlessly.
@@kwaku1984 not all time, bone structure can change if u dont eat well, bone can be stronger if ure calcium ratio its ok, but if u donr do a good diet ur bone cant repare urself and create the weak fibres.
and after ur tibia broke like wanderley silva.
I did shin conditioning in Hoi jeon moo sool as a kid but stopped for 5 years, back then I could kick bamboo sticks no problem (wouldn't break the stick or shin but felt no pain) now Im 18 and running into furniture at a meh speed hurts
After doing this for a year or two consistently it’ll be like carrying two baseball bats on you at all times
Nice
Plus some martial arts skill and your shins is now literally sledge hammers
This would help prevent injury maybe?
@@Jujujk1998 yeah you’ll most likely experience injury not fatal or bad but your bones will be steel after
Walking blindfolded in the living room is better
This should be practical for every martial art
Come on guys! This way of training is really helpful for your body. It doesn't mean you have to deal great damage on you bones to get badly injured. In fact, this way requires continuos small impact on your body parts in short period of time to make you get used to the damage you may get in real fighting. This 32 years oldman has been training this way in combination of real life combat techniques for over 10 years with no serious health issue. If you wouldn't break your bone, you only get stronger and stronger. Know your limit and start training guys!
True, bone density increases when pressure is applied. Sudden huge force like kicking hard objects can damage your bones instead of conditioning it.
Excellent video

@@Ajay-lu4je why so aggressive?
I think just stick with the first and second techniques, left the third for "shaolin monk" and exchange for some kicking heavy bag.

I kick a heavy bag . It weighs around 200+pounds. the very bottom and the the side for my shins . It has made them hard enough to kick and hurt somebody..

Good training no voodoo or black magic in the shin training
The music lines up with his legs kicks😂
My wife looked over and said "is he playing music on his shins?"

Super sayaaaaan
How much time takes to have a hard shin bone???
Looks pussy but I did that for years too and today my shins like out of steel!
How often do you condition your shin? How many minutes and how many days
Hello Silvafox, we recommend conditioning shins no more than twice a week. Each session no longer than 20-25 minutes. More and longer sessions might make your shins numb/tingling, but this still depends on your past training. Have a nice training. Master Fabio Zambelli - more info on Bone & Muscle Conditioning (BMC) available online martialartsexplained.com
Silvafox 2 yeah
So where is the roped target ?

How many days will it take for the bones to heal? If ever the question cannot be answered generally, how will I know if my bones are healed? Also, can a person that is a beginner in martial arts do this?

I am 16 years old can i do this workout
From where to get these products??
Just use any wooden or hard plastic stick
Is this training gives you health problems when you grow old cause you destroying your nerves? What about the nerves in your shin?
That bottom and side bottom is extremely hard.
Play soccer for years and the shin bone just gets stronger on its own.....my right shin I can kick bag as hard as I like,no pain....left leg not so much😅
Should I do this if i'm young,or does it stunt your growth?
Young do 50% of you leg copaticy
Broo put the first stage in last one 😂
its not so that you wont feel pain because after a fight after the adrenaline wears off, you will still hurt regardless of conditioning, but...by said conditioning the power and impact you have against your enemy will be more devastating.
what's the name of the music track?
bro l have one question how many times in the week l have to do it and how many days l have to rest
honest man are you stupid bro? He already answered this question for someone else
Klas Göran sorry bro my eng is not that good any way can you tell me

Any alternative for 2nd and 3rd drill
Yes, you can use padded sticks (thin foam or fabric), and when your shins get used to pain you can switch to bare wood.
My reaction: 😬
How to break ur leg
I started doing this a year ago and I just realized this is not for people my age “13”
Hello I’m new to this channel and enjoy your content. I have 2 questions I enjoy lifting weights can I condition my shin on my weight lifting leg day and if so should the conditioning be done before or after lifting?

No, always do condition after weight lifting
Are there any alternative tools for conditioning?
I guess you can use a dough kneader? Idk. XD

Just kick a heavy bag
And that's how civilize and science come together! The first and second technique are ok but the third one is really really come from some stupid myth of "shaolin monk do that". This is 21st century and the world really need guy like you bro!
