  • Building finger, grip and functional hand strength can be easily done with two simple things. Bucket and sand. Get a farm bucket and 50 lb bag of play sand. Now you're ready to start grabbing, twisting and opening your hand for awesome conditioning and strengthening, Shaolin style. Also great for hand health. This is a daily tool for keeping strong and injury free. Opening of the fingers and thumb in sand, perfect for extensors. When you are ready for more hand, grip and conditioning tools go to www.strongergrip.com

    Yes, rice, beans any substance that would offer resistance. As your hands get stronger you can move up to heavier things like sand or steel shot. I think the sand offers a nice resistance and isn't too harsh.

      To strengthen and callous our hands for rowing, we used to add some gas to the sand and leave it to burn out before we started. After a few weeks, we did it while the sand was still alight and our callouses ended up like leather. We even wore an old denim or leather jacket to protect our wrists from the flames.

    We used to work out our forearms and hands like this years ago. We used to get cheap short grain rice and load it into a five gallon bucket. It’s cheap and extremely effective. We would make random hand movements in the rice until our hands and fingers were so sore we had to stop. This all happens within seconds, it’s a very serious exercise! Try it.

    • @RipCCCord
      @RipCCCord 4 роки тому

      I know this is a year old, and theres a very small chance of you seeing this, but...
      Your forearm muscles are responsible for grip strength as there are no muscles in human fingers. That's why when you contract your fingers you see the tendons in your forearm move. Meaning increasing your grip strength will lead to more muscular forearms and viseversa.

      @iby914 7 років тому +1

      +chinguidinsky No problem friend. Your finger and grip strength will improve considerably. Follow the video and aim for about 2-3 mins for each hand. Then start again. 2 sets should be more than enough. Increase training length as your strength increases and fatigue takes longer to set in. Compliment this regime by getting a decent hand gripper and you'll have a killer grip in no time.
      Although being safe to do daily, if for whatever reason your hands feel bruised or tired give them a day or two to rest before resuming.
      Good luck and here's to having strong hands.

      That's stealing. You can face a felony and prison for stealing beach sand!

    Good video.
    It would be better if you added some water, just enough to turn it into thick mud, like clay. Then it will be easier to handle with better results.
