I never knew I needed this but damn, it's nice to see a cover of this song that understands the musical traditions this song comes from. No shade on any of the other guys who work with this piece of music, but it's a work song. You sing it while you work, which is why the original has such bare instrumentation. Understanding that is the difference between a good cover, and an amazing one.
When I first heard the original "We All Lift Together" I fell in love with this song, but your version is so much better! I'll be listening to this while farming points for the event in Warframe.
You know, working on the farm is hard. But listening to this makes everyday easy and makes it all worth it. KEEP ON FIGHTING TENNO FOR ONE DAY WE SHALL ACHIEVE PEACE
I may be but a humble musician, but i hope and pray the strumming out of my window provides even one person comfort. Im not a strong man. I cant lift crates, i cant save the sick or dying, but i can entertain, and by telling stories i can help those on the frontlines forget, even for a little while. We’ll get through this, boys. Just another step - another push, and even if the darkness keeps coming, our voices are there to guide. I have faith in those that seek to help me and those close to me. We all lift together.
Music is what strengthens the soul, it gives us the power to push forward. During times of war there were little tunes to keep morale afloat You're helping brother don't worry
Music brings us as humans together. Regardless of who are, no matter the race, belief, generation, or background. It moves the heart, moves the body, moves the soul. Ever since the start of time, it’s been what was used as a method of celebration, mourning, protest, and motivation. Everything you do to motivate those to fight and hang in there, to not lose hope is valuable because not everyone is willing or able to do that. We all lift together
Remind anyone else of old Yogscast Minecraft songs? My childhood is reignited at the same time as my current passion for some sort of work or struggle I'm not yet in Edit: We are all in a huge struggle right now I'm just absent minded as hell. Remember when I first played Warframes fortuna in 2018. When 2020 hit, this song became a release for me as I studied and even after getting into work again... good to know a lot more people take comfort from this song. We all lift, TOGETHER.
I am literally in the Vallis right now with youtube on in the background, and this came on and my GOD, random chance aligned right there and it was amazing.

I've been with you guys for so long and I never thought something like this would happen, I'm honestly gob smacked and you have still managed to make it your own song while keeping key parts of the original, truly aww inspiring guys!
Being at once brutal, barren, and bleak, but also breathtaking, boundless, and bizarrely beautiful...this tune is as black as the void of which ye sing, ye spacefaring scallywags. I pray your musical inspiration/output remains as replete as me rum reserves.
I was absolutely blown away when I heard this song for the first time in Warframe, and I am SO STOKED to see it covered by you guys! Such a beautiful, perfect cover!

I adore the original, but I love this haunting interpretation of this song because it sounds almost like it would fit with a Wild West theme and I love it!
Got like, 3 of my friends into sea shanties thanks to this. I've been listening for just around two years now, few of them knew the original We All Lift Together so I sent them this. Now almost every game we play we find some time for a shanty or two together somewhere.

I've been so hyped for this ever since I saw someone bring it up in the comments of the Warbringers cover. It's finally here!
Came up with a version for it at the same time, but never ended up making anything from it. Felt like the right time
Gonna be listening to this at work tommorow, being a essential employee in the food industry during a Pandemic sucks.
I'm about to clock in at my essential plastics manufacturing job as well, bud. Never forget, we're what keeps the heartland pumping, and it's because we're not afraid to lift together. Stay safe out there.
There is a high five from a baker who lift whit you!
I'll be home...
Saving the world by playing Devil May Cry 5 and eating ramen.
Thank you for all you guys are doing.
And my ramen
This is a digital high five from a super market cleaner.
I've been training people the last few days and I'm well aware of the risk but there's a burst of new employees and not many trainers. So I decided that training would be fun and helpful to do. Just hang on and take care to the best of your ability and always keep your head held high.
The bottle of Kraken being apart of the instruments makes me indescribably happy. Favorite drink to wash the dark days away
You gotta do "Sleeping in the Cold Below", please!
please make it so
why do the ripoff when they did the original already lol ua-cam.com/video/uSGpI9ybK9c/v-deo.html
When I first heard the original "We All Lift Together" I fell in love with this song, but your version is so much better! I'll be listening to this while farming points for the event in Warframe.
That's very kind of you to say, thank you! :)
As someone who has played warframe for a while I have to say that this is absolutely wonderful I’m so happy this came up in my recommended
You know, working on the farm is hard. But listening to this makes everyday easy and makes it all worth it. KEEP ON FIGHTING TENNO FOR ONE DAY WE SHALL ACHIEVE PEACE
Chills. Words cannot describe the impact of this beautiful rendition, rest assured i will be visiting this video every day for months to come!
I really dont know how this songs composers managed to so perfectly capture the feel of warframe. I get chills when i hear this.
During times of war there were little tunes to keep morale afloat
You're helping brother don't worry
Music brings us as humans together. Regardless of who are, no matter the race, belief, generation, or background. It moves the heart, moves the body, moves the soul.
Ever since the start of time, it’s been what was used as a method of celebration, mourning, protest, and motivation.
Everything you do to motivate those to fight and hang in there, to not lose hope is valuable because not everyone is willing or able to do that.
We all lift together
Remind anyone else of old Yogscast Minecraft songs? My childhood is reignited at the same time as my current passion for some sort of work or struggle I'm not yet in
Edit: We are all in a huge struggle right now I'm just absent minded as hell. This is perfect timing and I can't believe I typed "some sort of work or struggle I'm not yet in" when I've been studying from home for two straight weeks in the house during the biggest pandemic in my lifetime. We All Lift Together right now.
Very late reply, but this honestly reminds me of the Jaffa Factory and Shadow of Israphel! But I get the old songs vibe, too.
An absolutely brilliant cover. Love you all at least 100 times more. Keep up the amazing work!
Very kind of you, thanks for keep coming back :)
This is probably the most beautiful thing ive ever seen or heard during the duration of 2020 and will probably stay that way for the rest of the year
Oh man, I remember watching the stream where you first trialled this song and I've been patiently waiting for the resulting arrangement ever since.
Hope you like it
@@thelongestjohns I love it oh so very much. Thanks a bunch, you guys.
The world needed to hear this, in fact it still does. So thanks for singing it to us.
"Sir they've begun to sing"
Thanks for 4.4k likes everyone ya'll amazing!
So it seems...
@@SirSquelchy THATS NOT THE LINE GOD DAMN *Throws script at ground*
Finally...
I... I dont believe this... the- the androids, they're singing!...
@@birb125 i thought the same thing, but i gotta go double check what the line actually is.
"They've started to sing, sir"
Thanks!
I like the touch of how when the song ends, there's no outro, but there's no nothing either. The music was so moving that you can hear the studio has just gone quiet for a moment, after all that lol
I've been with you guys for so long and I never thought something like this would happen, I'm honestly gob smacked and you have still managed to make it your own song while keeping key parts of the original, truly aww inspiring guys!
I love this song and you guys. I am so happy that you made this.
I love your music soo much and i can't explain how happy i am yall did a cover of this song!
People need to hear this, and think about what we're doing as a country, tearing ourselves apart, people need a wakeup call.
Two worlds I never thought could even come near each other are colliding... And I love every secobd of it. Great cover!!!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A LONG TIME.
Not much longer to wait...
The world needed this cover right now.
From myself as well as many of my friends. Thank you.
So, this is probably just a pipe dream, but imagine this song getting the mass choir treatment like Leave Her Johnny and Wellerman.
This song would probably lend itself better than either of those. I'd like to see it as well!
Would fuckin' *love* to see it get the mass choir treatment.
How amazing would that be??! 🙀🙀
15 seconds in and i'm getting the shivers already. How?
I keep coming back to this. It's probably my favorite version of this song
Being at once brutal, barren, and bleak, but also breathtaking, boundless, and bizarrely beautiful...this tune is as black as the void of which ye sing, ye spacefaring scallywags. I pray your musical inspiration/output remains as replete as me rum reserves.
You have proven yourself, tenno. I had goosebumps the whole song thank you for this
I was absolutely blown away when I heard this song for the first time in Warframe, and I am SO STOKED to see it covered by you guys! Such a beautiful, perfect cover!
Hands down the best cover of one of the best songs ever made for a video game. I feel tears of determination every time.
I absolutely love the cinematography of this one, it flows well with the vocals and the instruments. Sounding great you guys! Keep it up!
Thanks a lot Brendon! Definitely went for the moody look with this
Daaamn! This was fantastic!!! I've never heard of you guys before, but you can bet I'm intrigued as hell after this amazing cover!!!
Many thanks!! :)
The banjo inclusion gives it a "Flight of the Sorcerer" vibe and just makes me think of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. And that makes me love this even more.
Oh my god. This sent chills down my spine. This is beautiful, even got that clink down perfectly with those glass bottles.
I too have been thinking this song is needed now more than ever. And you all did an incredible job!
Thank you Quarentine for allowing something beautiful like this though, that something good could be produced during!
A buddy and I both fell out of our seats when this popped up on our notifications, amazing song and amazing job absolutely love it!
The lads did it man i love listening to you guys
It popped on my feed because of warframe, I stayed for the shanties 😁great cover 😀
This was timed perfectly. With all that happening I had a bunch of friends try out warframe and after playing this song in the background had all 9 of us singing along 😂 Great cover guys
I adore the original, but I love this haunting interpretation of this song because it sounds almost like it would fit with a Wild West theme and I love it!
Holy daln didn't know longest johns did a cover of it
How wonderful lol
I uh, sounded like I was a kid about to go to disney world for the first time when this showed up. So good job guys the hype is real.
You guys just got another subscriber. This cover is amazing it really fits the atmosphere of fortuna.
Absolutely amazing job lads, quite literally got chills from the opening.
Same
Holy moley, not only was the singing phenomenal, but the lighting, camera angles, and color grading made this sooooo pleasing to watch!
You’re voices have literally changed my life. 🙏
Really needed this today, glad I clicked on it
This is by far one of my favorite songs ever, i never thought i'd like this music genre but this is shit ROCKS
Don't know how I missed this one, just sent it to the staff I know, wonderful cover!
Got like, 3 of my friends into sea shanties thanks to this. I've been listening for just around two years now, few of them knew the original We All Lift Together so I sent them this. Now almost every game we play we find some time for a shanty or two together somewhere.
I have listened to this song like 20 times since last night. I want that sense of brotherhood that you only get from working in a close quarters environment. Fighting for a cause. And this song makes me feel that. Thank you longest johns, and if you ever need another tenor, I'm down. I'll do it for free
All right, glinty, time to get to work! We got a lot of trouble out on the Vallis, and we need your help. Hop to it, Sparkie
Huzzah!
That's it! we've done it! we've made We All Lift Together: Firefly Edition.
This will blow up! I am sure of it!
You all deserve it as well!!!
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
I liked it. My friend sent the video to me. Seriously enjoyed this!
I feel like this song is relatable to all us folks in the lower classes. No matter our differences we all lift, and we're all adrift, together, working until we fall.
