    Drone questionnaire!: Do you like the side by side GoPro vs. the Drone feature or would there be a better format for incorporating the two? Would you rather have the footage the other way around? (Big Drone Screen with little GoPro POV) There will be much experimentation with this in the future!

      You have great narrative so maybe more full size cuts from the drone.

      I kinda like full screen from both mixed. I can't really watch both at the same time with the picture in picture. Awesome either way though.

      Great feedback guys and I think you're on to something. I can see editing between the drone and GoPro on full screen especially on sections where I'm out of the field of view the drone while keeping the sound overlay on the drone. I flew my drone (emphasis on "I flew" the drone rather than use an intelligent flight mode like "follow me") for my buddy Rado Life on Moto and he used that strategy and it looked pretty good. The key might be for me to mix it up. Thanks guys!

      I prefer the drone view full screen. It’s a neat perspective that no one else has. Great vids bro, keep em comin’!

      I like switching back and forth from drone to GoPro with both in full size.

      I think we're missing the point here. The two riders in front of the camera is the real good stuff lol!

    Andy's looks like its got some good chunk. I love the drone footage but I bet it takes a lot of time for you to get the shots. Awesome vid!

      It takes FOREVER!!!! lol Running the regular GOPro plus gimbal already takes long enough, deploying the drone doubles the ride time with not a lot of riding. (its kind of fun though lol) I'm glad you enjoy it JF Rides! I always appreciate the support man!

    That Andy’s climb really doesn’t mess around, tried it only once so far lol. Great vid as always! Love the small drone/big gopro screen combo, really unique way to display different perspectives.

      Try Round Trip on the Pikes Peak Marathon! That's where I learned those skills. Andy"s and the Ribbon were built by me, my left and right armies and right and left pedal pushing quads in the late 80's while living in my Yellow VW Bus at the Dynamite Shacks (aka: Trail Head!) The "Ribbon?" was never meant to be a De"s"cent! Great works here for sure. Thanks! At this point, it is clear, those "trails and not rails" and most likely lead to Opened Mindedness. The Gateway to a Free and Stable Society. I love to see the euphoria that folks get from riding them. Priceless! or, Art nearing Perfection! @@OutdoorGold

    I love the drone and follow cam footage. It helps further illustrate how difficult these trails are. I also pick up on some little tricks that other riders do to help improve my riding. Finally, I also thought the section where you have the split screen with the drone footage in the lower left corner was super sick. As mentioned by someone else, the drone is what sets your channel apart from the others.

      Outdoor Gold Productions - it'd be cool to mix it up with having the shots flipped sometimes...
      I like having the sound of the trail as the main audio though 🤘

    Drone is awesome but can you get it closer to you guys? But your camera footage is awesome don't give it up. Thanks for showing can't wait to get down this summer.

    • @OutdoorGold
      @OutdoorGold  7 років тому

      Thim, thats a good eye you have and thats going to be a future video. Unfortunately in "follow me" mode on the drone it flies on a flat plane so unfortunately it won't adjust its altitude, turn, or automatically adjust the camera angle in that mode unless I change it manually. Obviously there are some serious challenges. Thanks for the support Thim! Cant thank you enough! And get down here in the mid spring/fall, thats when its prime.

    I know this is a couple years old vid. But have you figured out what the " charcoal/ burnt looking rocks are?

    • @OutdoorGold
      @OutdoorGold  4 роки тому

      I still haven't figured it out yet, but I think they are volcanic ash bands that were compressed. Wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being sedimentary.

    how hot does it get up there?

    • @OutdoorGold
      @OutdoorGold  7 років тому

      Quick question: the climate? or the drone? 1) GJ is more of a ride area for the spring and fall. It can be usually be in the 90s or low 100s for temps in between June and September. Not to mention the gnats. 2) I haven't had too much drone heat, but then again I've been flying it in cool temps. I figured I'd answer both. Let me know what you think.
