Anthomnia, a really frighting dinosaur would be that Night Fiend Raptor type from the one episode of PRIMAL.
Seeing some of my mods (Feathered Cera, the fat dryo, the skinny allo) get featured in this video is probably the best day of my life rn. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I won't stop doing this. I love doing this for the community. Probably the best time in my Isle experience imo.

Im happy vorax got some recognition because it is the best mod ive made so far. For some background of it: Vorax is meant to be a mutated carno and its main inspiration is the fact that I wanted a carno with long arms and I wanted to make something creepy. Carno Vorax wont be the only Vorax.

6:35 A chimaera is often confused with its mythical cousin the manticore. A chimaera has the body of a lion, with the head of a goat protruding from its back or flanks, and its tail is the head of a snake. Occasionally it may have dragon wings or a dragon tail in some incarnations. A manticore however has a scorpion tail, the body of a lion, the face of a man, and the wings of a bat.
I wish we had servers that allowed mods. I think a lot more players would play if we were allowed to experiment with mods

I know !!Open Dinos!! (the modders server) allow mods on their servers. Asura also allows survival skin mods and the dev colors mods (not sandbox mods, map retextures, and some remodels). I think a few other servers allow some mods as well (noobz i think allows dev colors, not sure about any others)

Damaged horns and spikes might be a cool identifier for a dino that’s killed its own kind before. For example, if you’re a KoSer and landed the final blow against a member of your own species you could display damaged bits for an hour of play-time (logging out doesn’t count). It’d certainly be a noticeable warning, though if your own species kills the damaged player they don’t get the damaged bits.
That is a stupid idea from a realistc stand point, damage is damage regardless of how its inflicted. add something to the hud atp or something more realistic
Legacy dying is literally the whole point of Evrima. It was only around because Evrima was underdeveloped. Now that it has basically all the legacy features people simply move to the better branch. Let's be honest, people only still play legacy because their favourite dinosaurs are there.
leagacys map is way better tho. and alot of people play legacy to play a glorified chat simulator. those are losers tho

You do realize Legacy is older? So it's not " Dying ". Evrima is still WAY undeveloped. The fps, Actions, And so much more difficult. And Evrima and legacy are basically the same rn. And favorite dinosaurs? Legacy has much more of a selection then Evrima
The cursed mods had me sobbing. It would be amazing to have all of these mods in game, even the cursed ones because it's always good to have silly things in game as well. Imagine being chased by that... weird thing with it's own sounds at night... absolutely terrifying, or coming across a hoard of stick Raptors, that would be hilarious XD.
How much fun do you have playing games like the Isle and Day of Dragons?
Legacy was getting really boring, The mods were fun though and actually hilarious in cases. Evrima is honestly incredible in my mind visually and gameplay wise, I do not play DoD right now because there's not much content but i expect their upcoming additions will change that!
I loved the Isle but just cant bring my self to play legacy because of Evrima and DoD I've herd and have seen from a few vids and dev blogs of the thing they want to bring which makes me vary hype, DoD and the Isle Evrima have vary bright futures in my opinion :)
I can't wait for DoD's mega map to come out I'm excited for the floating islands
Incase you wanted to know, the servers containing these are open Dinos and Homebrew (Evolution world some) evolution world no longer owns a lot of models and patterns and are now found in Homebrew.
Love the Dakotaraptor! Raptor customization is something I really want, not just in pigment but in plumage and head shape and ornaments like crests. They renamed their raptor Omniraptor so customization that scratches all itches would be a perfect way to make the name fit.
We actually need this. More dinos added and more people playing it so we can have fun.

@@FROST-ui5fr my friend spent a whole day just to fully grow his spino then he got ambushed by 5 adult rexes right after.Sadly he never went back to play the game again
@@FROST-ui5fr it’s part of the game imo and that’s why I don’t get connected to the Dino’s I put time into. If everything grew even half as fast as they do currently then you’d have a server full of apexes.
I started playing The Isle in 2016, I will say the best times I had on it were when mod support was allowed. The custom maps, dinos, etc. were so much more fulfilling than the game has to offer on its own and that is the case for many games. The Isle community was so creative in that regard, there are so many map mods that I loved in the early parts of the game that I wish I could see again. Mod support allows a game like The Isle to stay in it's prime. It is so sad to see that the devs do not support it.. I just hope games going forward will not make this same mistake as sometimes players of the same can bring more enjoyable content than the devs themselves.

Man, I would LOVE things like permanent scarring and breakable parts. Imagine a stego in a fight for its life against a rex, managing to escape with its life to tell the tale with its broken horn, or a para that has all the marks of a utah pack that had pounced on it... I would love to see something like that added to Evrima.

Asura actually does allow mods. They allow the survival skin mods and they allow the dev colors mod.
I don’t think they allow sandbox skins, any remodels, or the seasons/map mods though.
Pretty sure they just mean over the top mods like the chonk trike, I have the Dakotaraptor and old feathered rex, and struthi model and they said they were ok with that

@@Rat_Juice7000 They have an announcement on 08/10/2022 saying survival skins and the dev color mod are allowed, but that sandbox skins aren't allowed. They never made another announcement after that. If you used a survival skin, I'd dispute the ban if I were you, because that announcement is more recent than their rules were last updated. And they never announced again that they weren't allowed. Which means they're either allowed or they need to update their announcements/rules.

Tbh Brazilian Isle-tubers such as RohsalPlayer, Daora and Draumr have been playing with these particular mods for several months now

it is sad to see legacy servers dying out, and Yes I also agree that Developers should have been more open to moods and such.
Cause it would have help hold the game alive longer, I mean look at games with Mods.. like, Minecraft, amnesia the dark decent, Skyrim, Fallout 4... they all survive way longer then because of moods were allowed and supported.
I have very fond memories of The Isle. Had some really fun time playing it, but now adays with Legacy server dying out and So little content in the newer version.. I feel like the game is going to die out, if The devs doesn't throw out some big updates to the game.

Let's be honest here
The Isle Devs refuse to give Legacy the time of day because they simply want it to die. They want everything on Envirma which, I can understand to an extent. The probability of them removing Legacy is low despite their refusal to hand it over to the community which, I surmise, is because they can't even find time to delete Legacy.
I agree, very very strongly agree, that the Devs should make a devkit for Legacy and hand it and Legacy over to the community. The great thing about Legacy is that it is so bare bones that modders can really do anything with it. Of course, this is unlikely to happen because the Devs simply don't care and they certainly have a pompous attitude when it comes to their game. They refuse to see the issues (Slow updates, Legacy, lack of modding and optimization of Envirma) because of their attitudes and because of that games like Path of Titans is completely running the genera. Path of Titans listens to their community, they added mods, they added Dinosaurs the fans wanted and when an issue arises they don't spend weeks to solve the problem, they do what they can ASAP. This is why The Isle is falling behind the game and in my personal opinion, the Devs have no one but themselves to blame.
The best thing the Devs can do to at least prevent the rest of its player base from moving on is to give mod support to Legacy.

This video makes me so sad. I've recently come to terms that the old isle we all experienced post drama just won't happen. It's been years. The struggle is real to find a game that felt like legacy back when it was going strong. Nothing comes close to that.. Except what I'm seeing in this modded server. It's heartbreaking that this is something we have all been waiting for, but can't have. Modding would have really saved the game if they had gone that route. Pity.
Wyvern's are a type of dragon often depicted with scorpion stingers as well.
Still waiting to see to Nycto Rex either on Isle or Path. You worked so hard at it, only right it see life at last. I'm teetering on buying the game, but playing that or a properly feathered dromaeosaurid (deininychus, various raptors) would be perfect!
Legacy never gets boring, I've loved these mods they've made the game more fun in my opinion, especially since I am unable to play Evirma

because they were already in development for 2 years to give us that horrible bare bones trainwreck. The reality is, they had no choice. The Isle was incredibly close to straight up dying. At the time, legacy servers had only a handful of servers that could actually meet the player cap. It was a few of Anth's servers and the official servers. They could have had more time to work on it if they'd just re-release modding to legacy, but Dondi hates people playing the game "wrong". He's got one exact vision for this game and hates anyone else's attempts to change it. If he thought for even a second on the money side of things, envirma would have released with mod support as a top priority. Literally people producing distractions and things to keep players playing the game for FREE while they could focus on polishing the new stuff. But nope!

I honestly miss playing the Isle. For a time, I was super invested in the lore of it with the strains (neuro carno and the dermatotum concepts still unnerves me) and I loved worming my way into the Nycta server when I could to play. Austro, Dibble and Danger Turkey were my favs to play and it holds a special place in my heart despite how it's kinda gone down the drain at this point.

this game would be in such a better state if they opened the mod gates to everyone, back when legacy could be modded officially those were the best times I had on this game and ever since they disabled modding it's only been downhill from there

I don’t think they will and if they did it, would probably be in the far future. The devs are at the start of making the game they really want. I think they are more focused on finishing the game on Pc before they start on console. Correct me if I’m wrong 😅

The issue with the isle is they shot themselves in the foot by neglecting the communities creativity and not wanting to give away any control at all then they let this die and start over just to probably do it all over again
The isle is going down the drain unless the devs get off their high horse and let the community mod with less restrictions

I seriously feel that if we had mod support similar to like games like ark, can get it right off the workshop, nice and easy, it would be so fun, cuz damn some of these dinos look so amazing and the amount of fun people have and the amount of creativity in the community is amazing. Just wish the devs would listen to us more
honestly I was surprised this game went as far as it did.
now I"m not always a huge fan of modding myself as a game dev in the learning to make my own game only because normally that's like taking someone's artwork and redoing it to what you like the most thinking it's "better"
if they just worked on story and dinos people would probably be happy. and they could've stopped there.
I feel like the Isle went further than it should've at some points seeing how it was just supposed to be a dino game of survival playing as the dino with some story.
now it's just, well as good as it looks at times, the fps don't look fantastic and a lot of work still needs to be done
then again never was a fan of these kinds of games in particular cause as great as the idea is, it's so massive, that it's almost hard to always 100% complete it.

Though I guess it doesn't really matter too much. to be clear it is manticores that have scorpion tails, chimera, or atleast the greek version, has a snake head for a tail. However, wyverns are commmon depected with a stinger.

Tbh it is an older (and less developed I think) branch than the Enirva (if that's how it spelled because I don't remember) branch. With how much time it takes for them to develop new stuff in the Enirva branch (which is the experiment branch for the game) it take so much more extra time to try and put that new stuff into the Legacy branch while working on the Enirva branch at the same time.
Legacy branch is the original game. Evrima is basically a brand new game, Legacy was left behind by the devs because the code was hard to work with and they "couldn't implement mechanics they wanted to implement" without breaking the code (they tried to update Legacy before they fully switched focus to Evrima, but it just ended up breaking a bunch of stuff)
Legacy also USED to have a dev kit and there used to be mods that we could download through the Steam Workshop, but on the current Legacy branch you can only use the mods in the video by messing with the game files (i.e. dragging-and-dropping downloaded files into the game's paks folder on your pc)

You make it sound like The Isle Evrima just doesn't exist. It's there, there's plenty of people on it, I don't believe everyone just left for Path of Titans, the Devs already mentioned that Legacy would eventually be pulled and it was never meant to stay because of the Recode, and besides the only thing Legacy has over Evrima is just the amount of playable dinosaurs. Which when you realise every dinosaur is essentially the same except ones are obviously better than others, then it's really, really not that interesting. Also you're literally doing what the Devs didn't want Modders to do and most of the reason why the modding support was removed: playing creatures you shouldn't have access to.
The Devs are making what they want to make now, and it's looking better than ever honestly. Yes Development has been slow, but you really can't make the comparison between Legacy and Evrima. Even with a fourth of the dinosaur roster it previously had, it's much more fun.
Yeah Evrima is coming along nicely. More dinos and then the map expanding is going to be awesome..... I mean it was a cool video even though most of it look great it showed exactly why they didn't just hand the modding over..... poor dibble looked like a squished frog.. Legacy is out the door anyway
I find that everima is missing the charm of the orginal game, it's just not as fun for some reason and that why I always find myself gravitating back to legacy even after playing evrima.
Honestly the only reason I stopped playing The Isle was because my pc cant run Evrima and there are no players on Legacy.

Reading through these comments and watching these videos, I think some of you need a reminder. Development takes time. Devs cant just pop out with a massive update one day, hell you JUST got one. Adding mods would put a stake in the works and then you'd have to wait even longer for an update. The developers are people too! They cant spend all day every day working on a game. They have jobs and other hobbies.
sure the base game would take longer for an update, but modders can work faster. By the very nature of how modding works, they'd have tons of different teams working on producing specific additions for the game. Like, one group of modders really wants to add cool color patterns and skins to the game. They only have to focus on that one thing. Another mod group wants to add a new dino to play as. They can focus on that one thing. You mix it all together and now you have a new dino and a skin system just by clicking a couple buttons in the steam workshop. Meanwhile the isle dev team is having to spread out a small team to work on, say, a new dino, a skin system, q&a bug fixes, animations, map expansions, sound design, optimization, etc etc. It's why modders can work faster to make new content. PLUS modders don't have to worry about payroll junk and salaries for devs (usually). Most are passion projects and people doing it *as* their hobby. Basically people making free content updates FOR the devs and at NO risk to them. Devs don't have to plan around mods to release new content to the game. That's for the modders to worry about updating their project to fit around if they still want people to play using it.

I think once they get mods out for Evrima and allow people to mod Evrima out... They will have a thriving fan base. Even as I play PoT with my friends... Not a single thing feels as good as playing either Legacy or Evrima. PoT just has mods that allow people to do more and be more within a community and affect the happiness or sadness of the fan base (Because sometimes things are over tuned) but this stuff MAKES a community. Nothing will replace The Isle, but thats a double edged sword since we all want it to be more. We are waiting for those all too important steps to include the fans in on the game they love to play.
I think once that takes off it's golden but Legacy had what we should have tried to remake or include at one point.. It had mods, the loss of that dev kit what a crippling blow to the community and to creators and customers. The game REALLY took off back when mods were a-okay for the game.
