Thank you for this video. I just moved in an apartment and no one on staff can use this thermostat. I couldnt figure out how to make ac turn on and off it was running allday. I had fan set at circulate and that was the problem. After watching your video I switched it to fan and setup a schedule for myself. Thanks again!!!
Thanks for the quick information. I was able to speak with a Honeywell tech and was told my problem would need a service call. After I tapped the Honeywell box on the side of the unit a few times, the power came back to the thermostat. Had to play that game a few time until the thermostat stopped going blank and operated
If you have a RedLINK gateway connected to your Prestige thermostat and are unable to change your date and time by tapping the current date and time, or you cannot find the Date/Time button on the menu screen, you will need to temporarily remove the RedLINK gateway from the thermostat configuration. After removing gateway from the configuration the Time/Date functionality will return. After adjusting your Date/Time go back and re-add the RedLINK gateway back into the configuration. This is some sort of a bug within the Prestige thermostat software.
The company that installed my new system didn't leave documentation and the date is incorrect. I don't see the last Menu screen - just color scheme stuff. What's up with that?
I have my thermostat set to 78 degrees and humidity set to 50%. The humidity in the house is 60% - I noticed this year that the system is not "dehumidifying". The thermostat says "waiting for equipment." However, if I adjust the thermostat temperature down to 70 even though indoor temperature is 69, all of a sudden the the dehumidifier kicks on. Any explanation?
I just had this installed and had two technicians come to our house coz the fan runs 24hrs non stop despite being in the automatic setting. Whenever the techs come, it stops for them but the fan just stays on all the time. It is also very loud. The fan noise woke both my husband and myself up from our sleep at 2am! So I had one of the techs lower the noise but compared to our old system...this one is very noisy. I'd appreciate any suggestions for the noise and the fan that is constantly on!
I just had a new Amana heat pump installed with this thermostat. I set my temperature 2 degrees cooler at night. In the morning, when going from 68 degrees to 70 degrees (heat cycle) the auxiliary heat comes on to bring it up to temperature. The problem is that it, the auxilliary heat, stays on for about 45 minutes after the system reaches 70 degrees. It's tripled my heating bills over the last years. I'd like to get rid of it and go to a dumb system where I control it. I've never had a problem that kind of a thermostat.
Do you know how to adjust when the heat pump runs? For example, my new heat pump can run down to 20 degrees f. Currently my back up heat (propane furnace) is running more than it should. We haven’t had temps below 30 degrees for about 3 weeks and I am using propane.
We just installed one yesterday with a new furnace and according to the user manual you touch the current time to reset but that doesn't appear to work. Going to check with our installer.
My HVac guy came over and couldn’t figure it out so he carefully removed the thermostat from the wall and unplugged the battery and was able to reset it.
re. Prestige IAQ Honeywell thermostat - Our new heating and air was totally replaced 2 years ago. It's been great until this morning. Walked by the thermostat last night and the screen was blank. The system is still operating but I have no way of knowing what it's doing nor do I have control over the settings. How can I get my screen back on?
Mine used to control my humidity but now under menu humidity control is gone. I have called Honeywell several times but they can’t figure it out and say I have to call a service guy. It is 3 years old. It shouldn’t have just disappeared and you would think at least they would know what to do about it.
Did you take out a humidifier or a dehumidifier ? If yes then you can't control it without one being installed. But if it is still there is means a setting got changed

Came here for this - how do you change the time and date?

How do you test the time/date?
Helpful and understandable...somewhat better than the manual.
Hey there, do you know how to remove the cover on these stats? Thanks
I want to set up to automatic. If I set up heat 22 C and cold 25 C. Does that mean that the system is going to keep the house between 22-25 C?
How do I calibrate it? The temperature it's reading is 2 degrees too high. I don't see advanced preferences.
Ours too!!
Perhaps a simple workaround is to set all of your preferred on/off settings 2° higher as well.
I don't want a schedule..how do I turn off scheduling.
Thank you for this clear explanation. But what is the best setting to get the lowest bill in winter? Should the fan be
on “automatic” or “circulate”?

How did you set it so that the indoor and setting will be at the same level without schedule. Or how to set it manually?

This thermostat is not compatible when you have oil or gas backup heat.

Mine seems to be stuck on 65 degrees - I don't see where anything has set
I saw AUTOMATIC as an option on the SYSTEM menu. Does it auto changeover from heating to cooling (and vice-versa)?
Yes it does.
How do you adjust the humidity?
In the setup menu. You will need to have the code number on the back so get that first.
Call to Honeywell and they will Walk you step by step to adjust the settings. It's a setting issue
I do not see an automatic option on mine
Mine doesn't have it either and I am very disappointed
How do I reset the passcode that I forgot ?

It doesn't control humidity? Just tells you what it is in the house but doesn't do anything about it?
If you add a Honeywell humidifier or a Honeywell dehumidifier it will control them. But without adding these you are correct if just tells you.
There's no magic involved. If you want to control humidity you need to install a humidifier.
Can you address the scheduling? Especially adding leave/return options?

So how did you do it? Leave/Return was apparently deleted by previous owners

Can the Fan speed be adjusted? Meaning from low to high?
