Thank you for talking about respecting the local culture. A lot of other content creators neglect to mention that.
Glad this video could help!
This is such a good video! Thanks!
how does it work when buying a car like can you do a loan? do you have to pay cash? if loan do they run a credit check or how does financing work
Any advice on cell phones… switch before coming over? bringing a unlocked phone? which service is best financially on the island?!
leaving in 2 weeks for oki!
Vorizon is the only US carrier I know that works in Japan. Japanese carriers are good. I use AU, they have better plans for families. SoftBank and DoCoMo are the other main carriers here. Congratulations on your assignment!
Thank you so much for making this video, there were so many helpful tips! We will be PCSing in November to Kadena but not sure if we’re living on base or off base yet. For on base Amazon, would we have to use our US Amazon?
Morgan. Thank you for your comment. Congratulations on your assignment. Yes, if you live on base you will have and APO address (this is a stateside address for Overseas Military installations). This is what you will use for Amazon.
Thank you for the video! My family and I will be moving there in Nov. i just have a question and I'm not sure if you have the answer but since you've been there for awhile thought I'd give it a try.
We are bringing my frenchie at first it was with the rotator however with the recent events going on with AMC we have decided to possibly fly commercial (in cabin) with my frenchie. Do you know what happens when we get to Japan does my dog have to be turned over at the airport ? Or is there like a military vet at the airport to take him? I'm kind of confused because I'm not sure where we will be flying into and I thought I read somewhere, that when we land (in Japan) that's where my dog will have to be turned over, so my fear is we may land in Tokyo for a layover, but I'm not sure if they take him there or they will allow us to continue on until we get to oki. Hopefully that made sense. It's def a lot of stress!
I need to find a job in less than three weeks 🤦🏽♀️
Is there some info I can help you with ?
@@japansofar yes, I will DM you via LinkedIn
How does it work for for states with auto extensions for military?
