Back in the 80’s, if you went to Westlake HS and weren’t fully white and wearing Izod Lacoste or Ralph Lauren Polo shirts regularly and didn’t have a car that was a show-stopper, you were an outcast and looked down upon. Almost all the students there had upper middle-class parents. Meaning they had nice large homes and expensive autos, but had to work for them, not upper class. The parents of the kids attending there were not engineers, teachers, project managers, or registered nurses. Those people are below them!
