Hope MARATHON fails!!! They gave up on us & I'm done with Bungie games. So many friends have left this game. I'm the last of my 34 friends. Can't hang anymore. I'm over it. 9yrs & here we are. Games a fraction of what it was. So sad. Good riddance Destiny.

I used to play it just abiut everyday after work before Microsock shut down Win 7, I tried my damndest to get back into the rhythm every which way that I could over the years, but the feeling just never felt like it did all those years back. Maybe with another rebuild I'll luck out with the feeling but so much time has passed, so many expansions missed, campaigns unfinished and Character Title Flare grinds just down the drain. I just about lost my sht trying to get Wayfarer before the massive sunset. The enjoyment that I had with the game since then went elsewhere. I feel as if the atmosphere is meant more for newer players wanting to dive into the game, but to me I feel as though Bungje completely missed the mark where they tried to put it.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to Remnant 2... I've been burned out on D2 for a while... Diablo 4 has been pretty fun so far, but I think R2 is going to scratch that itch.

@@Phreddish257although I’ve been enjoying Remnant 2, I will say it’s mainly linear for playthroughs. It’s fun even when playing with friends as I am. But I will say this game will simmer in a few months and probably won’t play it for a long time unless dlc drops.

I’ve been playing a lot of Destiny 1 recently, and it’s been so refreshing. Everyone is super chill, and Crucible actually feels really balanced. I genuinely feel confident that my losses and wins were fairly earned.
D1's sandbox was left in a horrible state with the last update it got. I'm sure the playerbase it has now is very laid back so it isn't that much of an issue to just play casually, but the balance is terrible.
Considering TV gets a lot of stick for defending Bungie and the state of the game this says a lot that even he is at breaking point with Destiny. I do think the fact that they’ve failed to genuinely nerf Immortal for this long is the tipping point for a lot of players. Seems like a really small issue, but the fact that they seem so against fixing something that is breaking the crucible shows where their mindset is and for dedicated PvP players it is the final straw.
I don’t blame you for moving on, I did the same at the beginning of this season and I’am a lot more happy playing my back log of games. Good luck with StarField, I can’t wait to see that content.
@@seanmurray6380 People have felt this downwards slide for awhile. I can easily point to Tash who jumped to Genshin, Mr. Fruit who does variety, or even TV whose going to do variety. Only reason people think Cross did this is because he's "the biggest" creator, which is kinda false since Fruit and Datto are both in the millions. Only thing we can credit him with is being a more widely known creator thanks to his PvE, PvP, TWAB, criticism, news coverage, and such videos. When people think Destiny, they think Cross. Compared to when people think PvP they think TV, Wallah, and such.

I’m a dedicated pvp player who stopped playing this game 2 months ago. Just lost interest finally after 4 years. Maybe I’ll come back, but now I’m enjoying playing other games. Didnt think id ever quit Destiny but been less angry, annoyed and stressed since i did. Playing Diablo 4 and gonna play Starfield as well ill be watching what youbput out have been since D1 i appreciate it thanks. I also watch and try recommended bourbon as well from other channel.
I know you’re not abandoning the game completely forever, but I feel like TV(along with other big name creators) stepping away for the most part is a major red flag and huge shift in Destiny’s history. I’m glad a lot of D2 content creators are moving on because bungie has not really given us enough content to keep posting new videos they usually are all the same. It happens but I’m just glad I’m seeing creators branch out because it isn’t easy to just stick with one game and TrueVanguard is such a good player and I can’t wait to see his other content.

Completely agree with your points, and your complaints have been very similar to my experience. I’ve been a day 1 PvP player, and I am officially at a point where I am taking a break. The only other time that this happened was the stasis meta and I took about a year break. This will probably be a longer break TBH.

When it comes to PvP, I know it's a small detail but we don't even have access to all the maps for private matches. I'd really like to have all the options with friends
tbh what would bring my interest back is, true pinnacle weapons, earnable weapon ornaments (like the objective based earnable ornaments you can unlock in COD) and like 10 new pvp maps, CBMM, but I don't see that ever happening
I got my puppy when the The traveler arrives on Earth and it was a very special time in my life, and that very dog died from intestinal cancer one month before the traveler left the Earth. I think I'm going to retire the game as well because it's tied to so many memories, So much has changed, and quite honestly I don't have the patience to delete a bunch of gear and guns again just so I can keep playing. It just feels like the most natural time to stop playing.
Also I literally only got views on my PVP videos from my subscribers and rarely ever got views outside of that demographic, And when I did get a bunch of views I never got subscriptions from those views so it's not like I'm ever going to grow ever in the 8 years I played this game.
I’m grateful that you acknowledged that you’re thinking financially rather than your “emotional damage” of these things Bungie has changed. Where other content creators just hammer the negativity and bank off that, instead of being truthful and say they’re no longer the target audience and it’s time to find another opportunity. I love destiny 2. I am by no means a “good player” but I’ve gone flawless a couple times and have logged 900 ish hours into both Destiny 1 and 2. I took a break about halfway through this season and started playing different games (NBA 2k23, Monopoly of all things, Diablo, Fall Guys, Overwatch 2 and a multitude of other games I can’t remember off the top of my head) and I have felt so relieved. I’ll follow you to whatever you decide to do or post. Take this much needed break TV. See ya on the flip side

I've personally learned so much from your videos I will never be on the level you and many are with PVP but I did try to take it all in and the way you explained things were simple to understand. I took a break for a couple years from D2 and played other games now it has sucked me back in but I have a myriad of things to do so fortunately always grinding. Got strand done now but stasis is my cryptonite I just can't get into it. Wish you all the best bud I will stick around to support you in you next endeavors
Unfortunately I just experienced exactly what you did. 4 Crucible Control matches back to back where the enemy team basically farmed us. I did good (+1 K/D/A) but unfortunately it felt like my team wasn't at the same level. I just think I'm better off playing other PvP games like Overwatch
I am very sympathetic to content creators trying to move away from one game so as long as you communicate a shift ot variety content (which you did), I'll be there to support you. I feel for the struggle to do youtube as a full time job and I don't know what I'd do without it as a resource for so many things so I try to find my youtubers and stick to them as much as possible. I’m a dedicated pvp player who stopped playing this game 2 months ago. Just lost interest finally after 4 years. Maybe I’ll come back, but now I’m enjoying playing other games.
Anyway just wanted to say I totally get why you’re doing this. Also thanks for the content. I’ve enjoyed watching your videos for years, and I’ll for sure continue to watch your content if you happen to be covering games that I’m also playing
Didnt think id ever quit Destiny but been less angry, annoyed and stressed since i did. Playing Diablo 4 and gonna play Starfield as well ill be watching what youbput out have been since D1 i appreciate it thanks. I also watch and try recommended bourbon as well from other channel.
I know you’re not abandoning the game completely forever, but I feel like TV(along with other big name creators) stepping away for the most part is a major red flag and huge shift in Destiny’s history.
That being said, really excited to see what TV can bring with new exciting content.

I’m glad a lot of D2 content creators are moving on because bungie has not really given us enough content to keep posting new videos they usually are all the same. It happens but I’m just glad I’m seeing creators branch out because it isn’t easy to just stick with one game and TrueVanguard is such a good player and I can’t wait to see his other content.

Completely agree with your points, and your complaints have been very similar to my experience. I’ve been a day 1 PvP player, and I am officially at a point where I am taking a break. The only other time that this happened was the stasis meta and I took about a year break. This will probably be a longer break TBH.

When it comes to PvP, I know it's a small detail but we don't even have access to all the maps for private matches. I'd really like to have all the options with friends
tbh what would bring my interest back is, true pinnacle weapons, earnable weapon ornaments (like the objective based earnable ornaments you can unlock in COD) and like 10 new pvp maps, CBMM, but I don't see that ever happening
I got my puppy when the The traveler arrives on Earth and it was a very special time in my life, and that very dog died from intestinal cancer one month before the traveler left the Earth. I think I'm going to retire the game as well because it's tied to so many memories, So much has changed, and quite honestly I don't have the patience to delete a bunch of gear and guns again just so I can keep playing. It just feels like the most natural time to stop playing.
Also I literally only got views on my PVP videos from my subscribers and rarely ever got views outside of that demographic, And when I did get a bunch of views I never got subscriptions from those views so it's not like I'm ever going to grow ever in the 8 years I played this game.
You have to do what’s best for you and your family. I feel that you are making a wise decision and wish the absolute very best of luck for you TV

Good luck with the new content TV! I Played destiny for about 5 years and you were one of my fav content creators the whole time. I quit destiny last year and honestly have been really glad I did. Sometimes you just have to say goodbye (at least for a while)

I love destiny 2. I am by no means a “good player” but I’ve gone flawless a couple times and have logged 900 ish hours into both Destiny 1 and 2. I took a break about halfway through this season and started playing different games (NBA 2k23, Monopoly of all things, Diablo, Fall Guys, Overwatch 2 and a multitude of other games I can’t remember off the top of my head) and I have felt so relieved.
I’ll follow you to whatever you decide to do or post. Take this much needed break TV. See ya on the flip side

TV I completely understand your decision. Gotta do what's best for you and the family. I've personally learned so much from your videos I will never be on the level you and many are with PVP but I did try to take it all in and the way you explained things were simple to understand. I took a break for a couple years from D2 and played other games now it has sucked me back in but I have a myriad of things to do so fortunately always grinding. Got strand done now but stasis is my cryptonite I just can't get into it. Wish you all the best bud I will stick around to support you in you next endeavors
Unfortunately I just experienced exactly what you did. 4 Crucible Control matches back to back where the enemy team basically farmed us. I did good (+1 K/D/A) but unfortunately it felt like my team wasn't at the same level. I just think I'm better off playing other PvP games like Overwatch
I am very sympathetic to content creators trying to move away from one game so as long as you communicate a shift ot variety content (which you did), I'll be there to support you. I feel for the struggle to do youtube as a full time job and I don't know what I'd do without it as a resource for so many things so I try to find my youtubers and stick to them as much as possible.
