Oil Painting Tutorial. Tips and exercises for painting looser & more expressively. Time lapse video

Learn how to paint more expressively and loosen up your oil painting style whilst maintaining a realistic painting effect with my art time lapse demo. In this art class I will show you a couple of simple warm up exercises to help you loosen up your painting process. In this painting lesson, I then move on to show you a time lapse video and briefly discuss my painting techniques before giving you tips for how to achieve an expressive style and improve your painting. This includes how to edit what you see, deciding what to leave out of a painting, focusing on edges, blocking in shapes and brush selection.
In this art class I use the Zorn palette - ivory black, titanium white, cadmium red and yellow ochre. The dog portrait is painted on to 280gsm all purpose paper.
