I had both types of monitor arms and the first one you had is leagues better than the second one (mine - both are desk mounted though not wall) If you are watching a movie / tv show while having a meal or you are playing a fps game with keyboard and mouse or a third person / 2d Metroidvania / racing game on a controller you can perfectly adjust the screen position: how close it is placed to your face, how high, the angle. The first one is so much better it’s not even close. When I am playing with a controller, I lean back and low on gravity free mode on my gaming chair bring the monitor way up closer to myself and lower floating in the air and while I am having a proper meal on a tray or playing fps with kbm I set the monitor closer to the wall and higher up (which is the only option you’ve got with the second type of monitor arm)
Isn't the sunlight bothering with the reflections on the screen? Shouldn't be better to rotate the desk so you have the window behind the desk so you can also look outside at times? (that's literally one of my goals, cause i don't even have a window here where i have my desk for the last 4 years...)

The cable vertebrae looks disgusting in my opinion. It kinda looks like the looped paper crafts met kaneki from tokyo ghoul and I despise it. Other than that... I pray to god you didn't actually take a month to make you desk look presentable regardless of your intention being for more videos or just because you're that slow.
a ups would only help if you were doing a bios update and the power went out. not very common. the most that would happen is losing data that you are actively saving which is also an extremely small chance. a surge protector is all you need
