- Summer has arrived on Cape Cod and the dunes are getting greener with each passing day. Historically the month of June is when bluefin tuna arrive in Cape waters, so I know a lot of people are chomping at the bit to get out tuna fishing!
In this episode we' go fishing with a group of members from myfishingcapecod.com, in search of the first tuna of the season. This video was filmed on July 1st 2021, and it originally aired during April of 2022 as part of season 5 of My Fishing Cape Cod TV.

well put together, nice job Ryan
Glad you enjoyed it Pete. I hope you're having a good season!
Great show! How big is that boat ?
Glad you enjoyed it! That’s a 27 Conch
How far offshore?
Probably about 35 miles
I'm just gonna ask. why did you keep 2. I assume the regulation at the time must have allowed it. Isn't it usually only one.
We were allowed 3 at this time. The commercial tuna regs change quite often.
@@MyFishingCapeCod I am new to big tuna. Thx for your reply. I had a feeling that was the explanation.
How did you guys bleed and gut the fish on board?
I show the process at the end of this TV show episode, but you'll have to be logged-in as a member to view. myfishingcapecod.com/episode-23/
at what price do you sell tuna please tell me
Anywhere from $1/pound to $15/pound and up. Depends on a lot of different factors. Average is probably about $6/pound but I’m not an authority on the matter by any means.
Wheres the liferaft and other required saftey gear ,how do all these center consols get away this
Hey Todd, I know the boat was new at the time so the raft might have been stowed in a deck compartment. He now has a life raft locker on the top of the console. Epirb and everything else is onboard too.
