HI Kenny: As has often been the case with your videos: our tastes are very similar, but a little different when It comes down to the final selections we can differ. I have all of the Analogue Productions albums you showed, with the exception of Phoebe Snow. Since you called it your top 10 AP LPs and not the 10 BEST SOUNDING AP LPs I picked some LPS with great sound and exceptional performances, not simply the. Best sounding, In no order my choices are: Cars / The Cars Gene Ammons - The Soulful Moods of Gene Ammons Willie Dixon with Memphis Slim - Willie’s Blues Miles Davis- Kind of Blue (45 RPM) Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (45 RPM) Patsy Cline - Greatest Hits (45 RPM) Sonny Boy Williamson - Keep it it Ourselves (45 RPM) Wynton Kelly Trio / Wes Montgomery - Smoking at the Half Note (45 RPM) Louis Armstrong - Satchmo Plays King Oliver Duke Ellington & His Orchestra -Masterpieces by Ellington As always I hope you and your family are Doing Well. Jim
Another great video I have 7 of those 😊 Stevie Ray Vaughan Couldn't stand the weather 45rpm is another great album 👍👍💯. There are many more to come from ap I am sure ❤️
Also don't forget about that whole prestige series... Things like Miles Davis bags groove Gene ammons boss tenor Sonny Rollins saxophone Colossus really that hole set of about 50 albums on that series is unbelievable
My birthday is 19th and I broke down and bought the Hugh Masekela Hope box set; I had to! I have the 33 1/3 that has all 12 and the 2008 45RPM that has only 7 and I compared them and the 45 RPM has so much more detail so I wanted all 12 tracks. It’s my favorite Analogue Productions release. So if you decide to get it buy the box set.😊
I think it sounds unbelievable I think it's UHQR quality It's insanely good. I think people get hung up on stereo separation in the late '50s and '60s and I'm like I've been listening to this jazz my whole life it doesn't bother me at all. What I do care about is like the visceral clarity of the instruments and the dynamic power on this recording is stunning
You need another way of contacting you or all comments will just have to be seen🤔Anyway, I know you probably watched the Jazz Bums and there interview with Chad. You and I have a lot of the same likes in music, in fact, you are the only one brave enough on the vinyl community to admit you like Herb Alpert and thanks for that! I had to comment that Chad was talking about New Orleans Jazz but no one ever mentions Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, The Dukes of Dixieland or Dixieland period! I love Jazz, Classical, Pop and good music but why the “Vinyl Community” treats Dixieland like it’s garbage! These so called experts…if they only knew how complicated with all the syncopation involved. Al Hirt was a master trumpet player as well as a great human being. No one will ever touch his technique and mastery of the art of “Dixieland”!!!! As a kid of the 60’s and 70’s learning to play the trumpet, Al Hirt as well as Doc and Louis, Harry James and many others were my hero’s. I sure miss Al Hirt “Jumbo” as Ann Margret used to call him!😢
Thank you very much for your comments. I watch the Jazz Bums and I have not seen the last video with Chad yet (I will probably watch it tonight while I watch the Lakers game in the background 😁). It is unfortunate that certain artists like Al Hirt and Herb Alpert do not get their just due because of career choices musicly and the type of music that they decided to play....I totally agree with you. I think to a lesser degree Wynton Marsalis is in the same category.
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Wynton for sure. You and I both know that Miles was an innovator that knew his limitations. As a trumpet player Wynton, Al, Doc, Maynard, Lee Morgan had no limitation!😊
Yawn. Everybody who owns a turntable thinks he is an "audiophile." Much in the same manner that people who buy Canon cameras think they're a professional photog even before the box gets delivered. SMFH.
You bring up a fantastic topic and question, thank you very much and thank for taking the time to watch my video, I sincerely appreciate it. What is your definition of a audiophile?

That's definitely true, many to choose from.

Wait until you get the Hugh Masekela Hope album!
😊😁
of all the 10 you presented, which one sounds the best?
Tough question to answer because they are all amazing but the Steely Dan Aja is fantastic.
There’s been too many negative comments on the Blue & Roots album; too much separation. I bet they’ll be a mono from AP done on this in the future.🤔
I think it sounds fantastic 😊

Jealous about the Headhunters!!
