@@dazednconfusedrn perfect, honestly! it’s so easy! I actually did this again Wednesday because for some reason my kettle corn would not pop properly in my microwave!
Now I just gotta find the damn lids to my pots 😅
I love how you held it above the burner when the popping intensified, because at that point it's hard to get them to stop popping no matter what, and by holding them above the burner you don't burn the bottom ones... which I always have trouble with.
I just burned the side of my thumb imitating him but it was great work 🙏
Fun tip: use a wok. The smaller area for the oil to collect means the popcorn doesn’t start on the heated bottom to burn. Shaking the pan becomes less important.

Update; i tried it and it really does work but you definitely need to put emphasis on IMMEDIATELY transfer it to another bowl cause it started burning real fast even after i took it off the burner, like 5-6 kernels wasted cause i didn’t realise how quick itd keep cooking after it was done

But the popcorn in bags is so much better than my old timer popcorn popper. The popcorn seems pre-stale in the old timer... and then adding the butter after just melts the popcorn even more.

The microwave popcorn is so unhealthy with all those chemicals tho and it's also much more expensive than doing it the other way. Of course it's convenient if you do have a microwave, but if you're doing it in a pot it's not rlly a lot of extra work to just put in the kernel with butter and salt. You can add the butter from the beginning before actually popping the popcorn. That's basically what microwave popcorn does as well.
Just spend 200 bucks on a popcorn machine! Jk

Actually steaming veggies in the microwave holds in more nutrients than traditional method. If you understand the science behind how microwaves work you'd know it's not unhealthy.
