Love the communications regarding the lay-out of the apartment. This helps everyone entering the apartment understand where they are and how the need to proceed. It also speeds up their response when they enter.
Nice footage the communication between the companies and command were on point!!
Loved you showing the knuckle 🚙 head blocking the fire Hydrant, Good, Shots all around, Capeesh 👍🏻🇺🇲
Should’ve ran the hose thru the inside of that Lexus. Hopefully those hoses scratched the shit out of it.
Anyone else watch FDNY vids, and want to yell "SHAKE!!!!!" when you hear pass device activation warnings? 🤣
But in all seriousness, GREAT example of a well run incident and very effective radio communications.
Every time !! Lol I’m like friggen shake man! Lol
Great professional teamwork! Nice video!
Thanks!
You guys are great.😊
Great footage, love the comms
Great footage.
Great Catch...
awesome catch and video to great job to all the fdny brother nice job on the video
Thank you very much!
Damn I was really hoping they would break out all the windows of the car parked by the hydrant 😱 that's my favorite part 😂 Another great job by the FDNY, fire could have spread to the whole building 🥰
They should put the 5" THREW the asses car windows when they block a hydrant!
10:02 yep, that's what u get for parking in front of a fire hydrant.. what a knob.
what do the numbers next to the radio log mean exp 2002 (also good video)
Those are the times.
Well at least there's a fire station close by on 87th st between Lexington on and Third aves
85th and Lex.
I hope that knob Lexus is scratched all to sh!t. 🤬 I would'a just thrown the 5-in *through* it!
Someone please explain to me. I realize there are probably hose crews on inside of building, but why are the bucket and ladder not laying down water from outside immediately after breaking the window and letting the smoke vent?
This fire was contained to the window frame and a small area inside that single room. The fire began in the AC unit under the window. Had they used water from the tower ladder it would have caused a massive amount of damage to the apartment that otherwise survived the fire with limited damage. Additionally, the tower ladders (bucket trucks) and ladder companies have no on-board water tank or pump and need to be supplied by engines. Doing this takes time & the inside team did a great job getting water on it from the interior anyway.
@@FDNYResponseVideos Thanks
Ladder truck is also there to give a escape route if needed for inside crews. A rule we have also is never spray water from outside when you have crews inside. Someone could get injured
Because they will blow the fire & heat into the building and that would be bad for the members operating inside the building.
What is a 10-77?
residential high rise fire
A 1077 means a fire in a high rise building
look up FDNY 10 Codes will explain alot of what you here on the radio
NO WATER FIRST FIVE MINUTES.
Why didn’t the tower ladder just put the fire out? Why is he using a halligan to pull windows? Sounds like a window being broken away from the fire apartment. A lot of questions here…

It looks a little more advance than the window frame and small area.
@Jason Major I can assure you that it was just the window frame and a small bit of the ceiling just inside the window. The couch, wood table and tv inside the room & less than 6 feet from the window did not burn and had no fire damage.
There is no way, that room is fully involved and it took almost 10 minutes for extinguishment. What about the broken windows?
Not gonna argue this - you weren’t there. I tried to lay out what happened factually and what you believe from that is up to you. The room was not fully involved, there was no extension to the furniture in the room. Smoke damage, however, was present throughout the apartment. The light fixture on the ceiling was also melted. Don’t know how it happened (the first due companies also expected a larger body of fire) but that’s how it went.
13 truck ov doing nothing ( and has his face piece on ! Why?)
About 20 seconds before the video started as I was walking up to the building the engine asked for water and 13 OV asked if he could VEIS. The boss told him to hold off because they were struggling with a difficult to force door. The OV is standing there waiting because he had specific instructions to - which he is given at 7:38.
Why is always taking so much time to put water on fire?
In this case they were having some trouble forcing the door due to multiple locks. It was a thick, heavy steel fire-rated door.
@@FDNYResponseVideos Also, because these 'SUPER HUMANS" that have never fought their way out of a wet paper bag in their lives, think it only takes 30 seconds to stretch hose up 7 flights of stairs, and then another 100' into to the fire apartment! You c*nts should just keep your comments to yourselves when you haven't the slightest idea what it takes to get to the seat of the fire!
whats purpose of bucker trucks in this fre
To get firefighters up to the apartment from the outside..They can then enter the apartment and search for people and also get people and firefighters out of the apartment if needed.
