- A great flight with the sponsored Discus 2cT "IYB". The goal was to fly a huge triangle, but the weather was unpredictable due to overdevelopements and rain showers in the afternoon. I constantly checked the radar picture and satallite images to get the most of the day. At the end the thermals died some minutes too early for 20 km/h headwind and I took the engine for the last Kilometers, to get back home to Stillberghof airfield.

What meteo app do you use tot spot radar and sattellite images while you fly?

Servus! How do you deal with the heavy comercial air traffic around Munich?
Francisco Fridlmeier Servus! There is a big airspace around Munich and we glider pilots try to avoid that airspace. And I never saw an airliner from my glider around Munich, only once near Memmingen Airport.

The thermal suddenly stopped and I had nearly final glide at this time. But the wind was blowing more than expected and there was also a rain shower on the direct way back home.
Kurbelst du immer so schnell (110 wie es aussieht) oder nur wegen dem Wasser?
Nein, liegt am Wasser. Teilweise muss ich auch mit 120 kurbeln..
Den Discus 2c kann man ohne Wasser doch locker mit 90 kurbeln.
