- For anyone wondering, Apollo will learn to say words long before he understands them. Obviously we try to help him with the connection between word and meaning.

I wish you could take him into a library. It would blow his mind.
I take my parrot most places including grocery shopping. I'll have to take her to the library, now!
So much metal
I don’t recommend that- they love shredding paper
@@codex0.324 lol I'm sure he wouldn't get that close to the books!
Hah yaa but the books wouldn't appreciate it😅
I love how the “metal” on the speaker was pure observation. Like he wasn’t asked or anything, he just said it proudly 🥰
Because he wants to earn a snack 😋 ❤️ so cute
ikrr
Yes :) and his facial expression after seemed very happy and proud:)
@@moLeOnPoThow you see the facial expression of a parrot?
@@Marholix shush, hes spiritualy connected with the world of nature and can definetly understand parrot
i love his gentle "paper"
could listen to that all day
trueee. same for "metal"
@@sammtavv indeed very adorable ^w^
Very contrast to how confidently he says G L A S S K
@@denarte6986 i fully agree
"paper 🙂"
he’s a little bit confused but he got the spirit
His little ‘paper’ at the end was like him saying, whatever you tell me I am still right and this is paper.
😂😂😂😂
Soo cute tbh
Yes, he is right!
I mean it is paper but books are made of paper, and I don’t think he understands that concept of set theory based on the other videos
Apollo is like “look dude, it’s ether paper or book, it CANNOT be both.”
I got that vibe, too.
@Kayla A that's hilarious. I could see him saying that if he could speak in complex sentences
“How to survive a bear attack”
Yeah you can shred it 😂
how to survive a bear attack
step 1: avoid bear
step 2 (if step 1 fails): you dont.
@@damond4346 Step 3: Let Apollo save you
@@jam4383 step 4: *G L A S S*
Step 5: touch purple
Step 6: Shrek
I like how while tapping on the speaker with his beak, Apollo says “metal” when he wasn’t even asked what it was made of. We *MUST* to protect this bird at all costs.
He will outlive you, lol.
@@TheCandiceWang that means he will outlive *YOU* too!
He wasn’t making a comment on what its made of, he was making a music request🤘🏽
@@looper7159 that bird is god
Whatever dude
He’s making connections even in his errors. Tremendous capacity to learn
"It's made of metal. What's it called?"
Apollo: "Glass"
He's so precious 😂
My friend had that type of bird but sadly it past
@@Master_Gamer527 That's so sad. I used to have budgies and some medium-sized parrots (don't know their rave name in English), but they didn't really go well with my other animals and I don't want to see any more birds get injured, especially by my pets, so I'll keep away from getting any for the time being. I still can't get over them. They were so cheerful and adorable 🥺🥺
Yes, everything made of metal is called glass and glass things are called metal. Makes perfect sense
@@ryuksdeathnote9814what kind of other pets do you have? :)
@@peeron6829 Cats and dogs. And the cats are as crazy as they come... I had cats and birds since I was little, but back then the cats knew better than to touch the inside birds. The cats I have now are not as bright, they don't care where the bird is and somehow the birdcage isn't good enough protection... So yeah, I'm laying off getting any birds until I can properly separate their space from the cat's space. Those cats can seriously get through any and all "cracks in the wall" as they say
He's doing his best 🥺
He’s a good boy
Yea he knows what things are made of for sure, but grasping the difference between an object itself and what it is comprised of is probably a fairly difficult concept for an animal.
I think he is playing around, quite often. He is so funny!
I think half of this is intentional 😂
@@CoryKlim I mean, we are animals but i see what u mean 😅
Apollo is the living embodiment of "Well now I am not doing it"
I'm convinced Apollo knows the right answers, he just like messing with you.
“This is a buh” 😂 Apollo is so freaking cute
He said it
Fr- so cuteeee😭
This is a BUH
He spitting facts
you earned a pistache
relatable
he sounded so petulant, like he was making fun of his human
PRECIOUS
To be fair, that speaker can be a book with an audiobook playing.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
The last "pepr" was cute.
"Wanna earn a snack"
You earn those snacks Apollo. You silly little guy you 😢😢
1k likes and no replies? Let me fix that.
@@moogi3105 no more likes and replies
Apollo earned no snacks that day
Bro didn't gave the little birdy some snacky
"**tap...tap.....tap** metal!!"
"Yes that's right!"
"It's a book."
Immediately laughing. That's so cute
This comment is my favorite
Paper
I mean he's not wrong, books ARE just collections of paper glued together.
Beautiful bird as always!
i'm obsessed with the confidence of "this is a book."
The last little "paper" sounds so please with himself. I love that bird
He's so intellectual with it
😂❤️❤️❤️
Yes, so mature! Like "pfff, paper, saw it multiple times"
I'm jealous of how talented you are in educating the bird, slowly building his vocabulary and allowing the bird to take advantage of its knowledge😁
Ooooh, he is so precious, his cute little voice 🐦💕I want to hug him !
Apollo is literally just my last braincell rn, I love him so much
Fun fact: some parrots usually have the knowledge of an average 3 year old human, basic knowledge of what things are made of and a bit morr
@@TatsugiriTheFeesh fun fact: my brain returns to that of a three year olds some times
@@huntergalaxy same
Yes, anything I don't understand is also lumped into the 'book' category.
the first 'is this a boook?' is so cute
I love how you can see his personality in the way he talks to you😂
He just answers randomly 😂❤
Not really. It's similar to children. Have you ever taught a kid how to read? Same process. "What's this word?" "Cat." "Close, but not quite." "Cab." "Good!"
It's a type of process of elimination while simultaneously retaining the failures and the correct information. Repetition always begets learning.
“THIS is a ball.”
“Cork.”
"Metal!"
"Yeah it's metal, great job!"
**switches gears** "it's a book"
At this point, Apollo is just pranking you.
"I wanna earn a snack."
Proceeds to do everything to not earn a snack. Bless em
He wants to know what THAT'S called but doesn't know how to ask. The Radio.
Wow, I'm a Special Ed teacher and Reading Specialist and Apollo is at a Huge cusp of learning right here! I can FEEL it thru th screen. Expressive, Receptive, Vocabulary. It's AMAZING. I had a Grey and he used to watch you and Apollo. It seems like outside of earning pistash. He's really opening up to the phase where he gets that everything has a name. I'm so happy for you guys. I know how much Greys LOVE learning new things and getting new concepts. It's like their brain explodes with all new energy and joy. Watch for times he's asking you "how do I ask this question for what I want to know. I'm sure that's what he was doing with the radio. It's like you're teaching English as a Second Language to a fourth grader. Once they start learning they have soooo many questions about how the world works and just a few teachers to help them. 🎉❤😊
I can picture Apollo picking up “what’s this called” like he can “wanna earn a snack” - once he has a question he’ll get more unique answers!
@@Doylt it would make more sense if he said "what made of?" sense he hears that often.
Yessss this! I bet it'd be dope if you wrote out a bit of a guide for him to use with the birds
How long do they live for
@@solice6475 80 years
Cork. Refuses to Elaborate 😂😂😂
I just love how he says he wants to earn a snack. Not just want a snack, but earn it.
Such a good bird.
That's the way it's presented to him. It makes sense.
He’s so sweet I love him, it’s like having a toddler😮❤
He said it’s a book so confidently, I can’t help but respect it.
Ive come to stop any chains that might happen
the "its a buh" killed me. Love this bird
I literally can’t stop laughing because of the cuteness of that parrot ❤
From the tone of his voice and the way he speaks you can tell that you speak kindly to him in your household. He has such a gentle tone
‚its a bUuh‘ HES SO CUTE 😭
Apollo is ready to define the world! This is like the “Why?” stage with toddlers…Apollo wants to know what EVERYTHING is in his environment. I give it a year and he’ll be distinguishing the difference between a spoon and a fork, a dog and a cat, a worm and a snake…the world is his oyster (or clam - cuz he’ll know which is which 😂)!
I'll be honest, I'm 25 years old and I don't know what the difference between an oyster and a clam is.
@@icarusty6481 oysters have the crazy bumpy rugged shells and clams have the flat smooth shells
He’s already determined that a snake is a bug…
It’s genuinely so sweet to just hear the care for that bird in his voice. He’s a dad. A bird dad.
He sounds like a distinguished gentleman
I love how he talks 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ it's so precious
This „paiper” is just soft like toilet paper.

I really am amazed at how patient and caring you are no matter how long and tedious Apollo makes things. ❤
More please!!!!! Cutest thing in the world
The way he asks “is this a book?🤓” is cute lol
Apollo seems to be really great at answering "what's this made of ?", but for "what is this?" it's harder 😢
Tbf it's probably a lot harder for things Apollo cant use himself. A ball or a pistach have a use, a book is functionally just a clump of paper, a bowl is just some metal that sometimes has things in it.
@@0y1on That makes sense, and I’m sure part of it is the sound it makes when he hits the object with his beak. I think he uses the sound it creates to determine what it is. Like if you watch a video where the owner is asking what each thing is made of, he hits things made with glass more times, because it sounds similar for glass and metal
@@Ainsley14868 he has to drop the rocks to hear the sound they make too
@@zoutewand That is neat, I haven’t seen many videos of him identifying rocks
@@Ainsley14868 they're those marble/bean looking things:)
This is full Amazed! How can this Parrot talk like the child asking something He/she want to know about 😂😁👏🏻👏🏻 loved this
saying "is this a book?" so softly in the beginning. Bless his sweet little heart. Funny how he got so many of the items wrong too. we all have off days apollo
tbh i wanna sit with Apollo in my lap and read books to him, 10/10 would pay for an extra patreon tier to do this, let's advance his literacy 😔✊️
I love that he inflects "is this a bowl?" to ask the question
I wait his comments about music janres
My favorite part of these videos is when you speak it’s very easy to hear that he’s adopted your pronunciations perfectly
He sounds just like Dalton 😂
The way he says "rock" in such a deep voice kills me 😂😂 I love it so much omg
“Is this a bouwl?”
“Nyo~”
This is adorable…
apollo is literally my brain during a test
Apollo is lately in my brain when I am in school
Imagine you go to a library with the parrot in order for it to learn more then you see the librarian with a parrot speaking fluent english..
Sometimes it’s almost like he’s bored and just being slaphappy… I love watching this journey
Yeah I also have the feeling he is trolling at times😂
"Its metal! is it a book?"
Very precise prononciation lesson. Yet more of a relaxed approach to teaching. Allowing lots of mistakes in his learning journey. Thriving bird.
He does the rising tone inflection for questions and when he's unsure of the answer! That's a sign of how he understands and uses grammar. It's fascinating to get s glimpse of their capabilities in a way we can perceive.
idk why but something about the way he adamantly says “cork” in some of these videos just cracks me up 😂
You know you watch these a lot when you watch Apollo tap the speaker, and you audibly say "Metal" before he does.
I feel seen
Who, ME? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂💖💖💖💖
He is sooo smart 🥰. He was thinking that you were going to more into explaining the speaker. Block with a bowl. Sometimes they are too smart.💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Is this a book? 😍 soooo adorable!!!
he never ceases to amaze
I love how he very confidently blurts out the wrong answers. He doesn’t say “is this?” He says “this is” like he made the damn thing
i love how apollo makes the ? tone like humans when asking a question. he’s so cute!
I think he just wants you to talk to him and give him attention.
You are the best with him. He really listens to you
I think you have sucessfully overloaded his brain and his circuits are finally fried. This was a funny one!!❤
His voice is so freaking cuuuute
😂😂😂. I think Apollo is teasing you!!! He’s so cute 🥰 ❤❤
no snack! no correct answer!
I like that the parrot has a book about surviving bear attacks.
It'd be a short book, for a bird... 😂
he knows what it is but winds people up paper love to hear appllo say it
Fascinating! The kind of errors Apollo makes are similar to those that toddlers acquiring language make-the mixing up of names that sound similar, for example. This suggests that he acquires human language by a process with some parallels to how we acquire it. What a cool bird! ❤
I love the "is this a bowll?"
Sounds so cute
Sometimes I think he's messing with them. 😆
It’s so interesting how smart he is and how his brain categorizes things by what they are made of. Far more useful and to the point I suppose!
This channel gives me life
Du bist so ein intelligenter, zauberhaft , zuckersüßer Papagei , einfach super. Ein ❤ für alle Tiere , 🌍weit . Wir lieben Tiere.
“This is a ball!”

When I first started Apollo videos I would have thought he was confused, but now I know he’s just doing this to mess with you lmao
Aww he's trying so hard 😊 Apollo deserves all the snacks.
Apollo is not gonna know how to survive a bear attack
He's really a treasure. So precious!
The way he kept slamming his head like 5 times was so funny and cute😂
It’s like my 4 year old autistic cousin. He’s giving it all he has and that all that matters. If I got to enjoy Apollo’s presence he’d be a fat bird from all the treats I’d give him.
*rips* "Paper"
I can't with this birb 😍🥰🤣
I LOVE how he uses touch, taste, and sound to determine the material composite of an object. It blows my mind.
Paper!! So cute!!!
I think it means your blood ist mine 😂😂😂
Crazy video, please more from this content 😂
I love how you're so patient with Apollo. He is learning so quickly with your gentle guidance 🐦❤❤❤
Not can i earn a snack but wanna earn a snack 😂😂😂
He's so smart!!
I like how he says metal. He sounds like he’s making a confident discovery, over and over again.
He's such a moody feathered toddler; I love him.
I like how he just kind of says random stuff bc he isn't really trying but when he gets it right and is encouraged you can see him re-engage
