I like how this video showcases how he gets bored and defiant. It can be easy to only see the videos of him answering stuff correctly and think he’s some kind of oracle, instead of a toddler with wings
Plot twist: everyone in this video is a bird, but two of them have been trained so well that they have convinced us that they're actually humans.
Sir Bearington has nothing on Dalton and Tori Birdington!
😂
“this is a W A R I O” had me cackling
A single wario

@@ericksheldon3870 Thanks!
Me too.
"THIS IS A BLOCK"
"this is a wrench"
"CORK"
his defiance is unparalleled
Wario!
"Wanna earn a pistach?"
Apollo like all children, is extremely bribable. And like all children has the attention span of just one pistachio AND a one track mind somehow.
the way apollo kept answering categorically wrong in response to "what color?" in the beginning, but answered it right the moment dalton asked tori instead 😭😭
This is absolutely fascinating to watch and I LOVE that Tori and Dalton switch roles so Appollo can mentally bank the behavior. It's not just Dalton commanding Tori and Tori responding. That gives ownership to the response. It's an owned dedicated behavior i.e. "This is how Tori responds to Dalton when Dalton says X" - this is banked as Dalton's request of Tori and her response initially, not as the desired response. But when you flip that role it's easier to distinguish this is the expected behavior to that request, taking the ownership out of the equation. It's super cool to watch him thinking, when his eyes pin, when they soften, the way his cheeks raise when he's happy... People really do not have any real understanding of the work it takes to train a parrot to talk and that they all have their unique personalities. Really good work, you two.
I've almost watched all of your videos and still can't get over the way apollo says metal in the most polite way possible.
🤣
yes i like how he says metal too
Apollo: "Pour water"
Tori "...no I will not pour water"
"no, I don't think I will"
When Tori and Dalton try not to laugh at "This is a Wario" 😂
timestamp?

@@VitzaVitamins thanks
It's so beautiful how patiently these two humans parent their bird child
0:33 he wasn’t going to let Tori have his Pistash lol😊
Wow, this was impressive! Next time teach Dalton to touch purple.
Lol
20/10 Apollo impressions Tori! Give her a pistash so long as she isn't allergic to it.
Edit: Loved seeing the training session!
I was so proud when he said "wrench"! and then when Tori said "give that man a wrench" I was like, yes! give that man a wrench, he earned it lol you guys are doing such amazing things with Apollo. I can see him picking up things so quickly and really progressing in the amount of vocabulary he is able to acquire. also "this is Wario" had me cracking up! ❤
Apollo does not want to go to school today
"earn a pisnack" 🥰
Working with Apollo really is almost the exact same as working with a child. The way you use examples for him, like when you ask Tori questions, is so cool! Give him a pistash for me 😊
No matter this situation, if Wario is the answer it's always correct.
Tori is very well trained.
"This is Wario!"
*Tori snickers*
One day he'll ask why his human parents quiz each other about blocks
The way he's interrupting is killing me.
Absolutely fascinating! You guys are so good at this. It’s really interesting to see how intently he listens and studies when you pretend to teach each other. You can see how hard he’s thinking about the words he’s hearing. Parrot ownership and parenthood isn’t for me, so it’s cool to be along for the ride.
Good job Apollo! Many pisnacks acquired!
Apollo now can see our souls through the camera lense. He has transcended mortality
I like how you involve each other with the questions just like him and also get some wrong sometimes showing him it's normal and ok to make mistakes. You guys are really awesome birb parents 🥰
this is a block.....BOODITTT
Pour Water
I love when Apollo copies Dalton when he says "alright", he always says it too it always makes me smile. I also really admire how much they care about the birds, you can tell they love them very much and the birds love them back.
I’d love to see more of how you guys train Apollo! Not only is it really interesting, but it’s so adorable and cool how quick Apollo can pick things up :)
I T S A W A R I O 🗿
3:12 - favorite part of the video
These are life goals. what a fantastic life situation, you and tori are so cute together, apollo is practically the mischievous child, with Soleil and Ophelia being little silly toddlers. this really is something special that is just a joy to watch.
Tori's really coming along!
4:19 Apollo Jumpscare Warning
in the end you can see dalton and apollo looking at tori with a deep attention. it was so funny 😂
I do agree that teaching by example is a super effective way of learning....cause you get an amusing experience out of it too XD
He is the coolest, cutest bird, hands down,I just love him he talks so well❤
I love the way you discuss and choose the specific word you want to use for what concept so he doesn’t learn connotations that will create confusion later.
Apollo the whole time thinking "these humans have lost it" Jk I love these videos
It's interesting how much effort you have to put to get him motivated to learn when he's interested in doing his own thing.
That is quite a process and it is very interesting how you trade off answering the questions and providing Apollo an example of how incorrect answers are addressed. You can tell by your videos you spend a lot of time with him and this training session shows your patience in working with him. I adore you teaching him complete sentences, it's very unique
He has you folks very well trained. STACH FOR YOU. 🎉😅
I am so tickled by the humans earning nuts XD
Thos is a good introduction to toddlers. I hope you have a child or two one day Damon and Tori ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sometimes I think Apollo just likes to mess with Dalton and Tori.
I have done a lot of training and I am teacher! You guys are doing well, I would recommend breaking pistachio up into smaller pieces so he stays Hungry and has more food drive. I would also encourage mapping out a plan for teaching sessions and back up plan. I know it’s not easy because Apollo has to be interested and in a talking mood for training to take place. Do you guys ever do recordings for new words like wrench so he hears it over and over? Great work, people have no idea how difficult training is when your also trying to film it, I am sure many great days never get filmed, but it’s fun if you love your bird.
Do you teach humans or birds?
Do you use food with your students?
I think they mentioned in a livestream once that he likes opening the pistachio more than eating it, so that may be why they haven't done that.
@@josephinemiller68 My 3rd grade teacher used gummy worms with her students, lol.
@@josephinemiller68
Birds are very food motivated (usually), so it works well for training. But using food as a reward for humans can teach bad habits and negative psychological associations between food and unhappiness.
@@josephinemiller68 we were not allowed sugar as small kids and the kindergarten teacher would reward 5 fruit loops per reading assignment . I still remember that first one, I was 4. I learned to read that first week. The colors stained my tongue and I got grounded. Lol
Give this man a wrench😅😂
This is wonderful ❤️
Apollo is so smart!
Omg I love Apollo so much. It’s a block. What color?, a rock, close…what color? Want a pistash?
Apollo is a nutty bird u both try very hard he can be stubborn sometime he is so funny 🤣
Parrots have their own notions of what constitutes polite behavior. I have found they do not respond well to just shoving your hand under their feet to demand that they "step up". They are not dogs. Treating them with kindness and respect garners much better results. I also have trouble with people who expect these very intelligent beings to perform "tricks" on command.
Ohhh, counting and "want" are going to be really interesting when he gets them!
I thought I died when he flew at me :0
Tori and Dalton handle those tasks quite well for humans. Apollo is just objectively great as always. :)
Apollo has the attention span for only about 3 questions and that's funny to me
I can relate to Apollo's attention span, hahaha.
More videos like this one please!! ❤
Aww so cute, family training session 🥺
Teach Apollo about guns, “This is a Glock”
ooo I've been looking forward to a video demonstrating the model/rival technique! Lovely! Keep doing what you're doing!
"Dalton, what's this made of?"
"UA-cam likes" 🤪
You know. Her name being Tori is kinda fitting cause the Japanese word for bird is "tori"
Are there any words in Apollo's vocab that you did not intend or encourage? Or does he explicitly pick up only the words you are teaching?
Shrock immediately springs to mind
Propably the infamous "SUCK!!!" followed by slurping noises :D

I don't make myself responsible for the aftermath of you watching this video
Apollo is interested in the camera!
It's so interesting to see how the diffusion of knowledge and learning happens Apollo, Tori, and Dalton. Thanks for sharing!
touch purple!
You all are so amazing with Apollo! I love how calm patient and encouraging you all are!!! As far as Apollo goes well he is a parrot genius wonder🥰
you should do more of these!
Parrots have the attention span of a three year old. Keeping learning sessions short will prevent frustration...for all of you!
They’re doing a pretty good job
@@daa3417 Yes, I agree. Parrot owners often share tips. If you thought I was being judgemental, you were mistaken. Much love. 💜🐦
@@karenuntz6514 I did assume you were, that’s typically how the internet works sadly so I apologize for that. I also have my own trials and tribulations with parrots although I wouldn’t call myself their owner, it’s closer to self-indentured Stockholm syndrome.
What a riddiculous comments 🤦🏻♂️
@@JaQba91 nobody cares
the model rival training is too funny, didnt realize yall did wrong answers as a part of it too☠️
Oooo you're teaching him to count, that'll be cool once he gets good like some of the other stuff.
I just realized this is a pretty old video and he might already be pretty good at it lol, my bad, still really cool though
He is amazing
Couple goals
Love this❤️
I bet this bird will speak coherent sentences by 2025. change my mind
Super Nintendo! Rockin’ the retro!
Apollo is amazingly smart, it's so awesome to see you guys spend time with him and teach him all the things he knows and all the love you give him is awesome. Hey girls!
are there any videos where you can see, that he is not just cycling through possible answers until he gets a treat eventually?
Hahahhaha I didn't know that guy's name was DALTON this whole time. 🤣
Love the mic stand perch
This is fascinating!
Soo cute 🥰
Apollo doesn't mind😀🤷♂️❣️
Great 'model rival' technique
So smart
So from what it seems they get answers wrong on purpose then right I front of Apollo to show the difference between a right answer and a wrong answer
You guys should play sesame street for Apollo :)
Apollo wants to operate the camera-let him fulfill his destiny.
When is Apollo's birthday , the day He hatched.?? It should be commemorated each year with a National Holiday at home.
This is SO GOOD.
Cool
Your training method is totally more effective than mine, but I don't want to do this silly method myself... And I don't need my budgie judging me anymore than she already does...
Well Tori is doing great!
He really does not want to learn today. Also I have the exact same coffee table lol
Apollo loves earning pistachs
I saw pecan for $30 a kilo and I am like "Woooo"
Bandura would be proud 🥺
T H I S I S A perfect video
omg me and apollo have the same attention span
Since he is a Florida bird …. Teach concept of “y’all”
I know everyone is making suggestions. I think y’all are great and I look forward to new videos❤. Apollo gives me a smile
