It may sound like he is saying something, but you don't ACTUALLY believe a cat is speaking the human language do you? NO ONE seems to know much about cats on here. I have worked with cats my whole life, and most of these cats are making FEAR sounds......specially the "lololololol" sound. They do this when they are very scared. Yes, cats may respond to words they hear a lot, and learn to associate things with it, but they ca n NOT speak our language lol. It is just that sometimes a sound they make may seem like a word, but that is just a coincidence. People try to put human thinking and emotion onto their pets, but they communicate mainly through body language. These cats (most of them, not all, are displaying fear. Dilated pupils, arched back, and odd sounds. Have you ever seen 2 cats about to fight? They make those wierd sounds because they think they are in danger. You know that old video where the cat sounds like he's saying "ooooohhh long johnson" ? He was doing that because his owner brought a new cat in the home, and he felt threatened. BTW he was not really "saying" ohhh long johnson....it just sounded like it....he was terrified.

They know when a human says the sound "treat", they are about to get food etc. They think of our words like a sound, like they meow etc.) But when you hear a cat doing that "Oooooh lolololol muh muh looooool oooooh" (those weird sounds).....that is pure fear. They will do that if you bring in a new animal, and they feel threatened, or if they are cornered....stuff like that. Look up Jackson Galaxy. He explains all that stuff in some of his videos. I am the first to say that our cats understand us (I talk to mine like they are babies lol, and they know their names and yep cats are smart) It's just that they don't understand full LANGUAGE.....it's more like keyword association.

I had a large grey and white girl named BJ. I also had a flame point Siamese boy named Buddy. Buddy was deeply in love with BJ. I'd torment Buddy by saying out loud, "I'm going to pet BJ!" As soon as I would start petting her, Buddy would say "Noo!", up until he could get on the couch or bed where BJ was laying, and worm himself in between us.

For example, my sister plays with my cat and she chases him around the house, trying to make some noise to scare him but he isn’t scared as after he goes up to her and cuddles her and starts purring.
