Hey man, I love your channel, and that pic from your pod cast is awesome! I remember seeing that bit on the Simpsons back in the day and it just struck me laughter. Thanks for that!
I don't know, but I do see that pawn take begins to clear the e file for the white rook. In fact white has a nasty discovery by moving the knight with check.
Hi adgamator thank you so much for your videos. Question: min -7:08 boden missed winning a piece; he could have taken the knight with black bishop and after queen takes bishop, the other knight in d5 is unprotected. Am i right? Greetings from Argentina.
5:53 What about instead of attacking with white queen to H6 first capture with pawn on F6... Now the black queen is hanging and needs to retreatto D8 And then you bring white queen over to H6 now you immediately threaten checkmate on the G7 square and black has to sacrifice his queen to defend by capturing the pon on F6... And then you have one more queen then black and you are completely winning... ??? Am I missing something?
I'm glad the Morphy saga resumed & continues! I kept checking for more videos back in April, & after a few weeks gave up, wondering if the saga/series was done. Then recently found the Morphy saga resumed & continues! I hope will continue until Morphy's last known games. Maybe even a last game that is not very significant, , just what the last ones were. & possibly include briefly what happened in Morphy's life after his last chess game? A brief wrap up biography up to the end of Morphy's life? Did Morphy contribute anything else to chess, such as books, writings, articles, or tutoring/training? Are there any Morphy honors or organizations, like prizes? Just some suggestions or ideas for more info to include about Morphy. Agad, you have done a lot of research that shows in the extra info you have included in the videos & the text descriptions/info. Well done.
Hello Friend beautiful game with excellent commentary. A curiosity you have the date of July 9th I can know where you got this information since I have not found the date of this game in any book, thanks.
Hi everyone, I wanted to join yesterday's medo arena but since agadmator did not do a video on Thursday I couldn't find the link to the tournament. can someone tell me where the link was and how to join future tournaments.
ooh my god !!! how could Morphy survive that attack? what kind of deffense was that he just showed. I thought his opponent's moves were so powerful. Can someone explain to me what just happened please ?
#suggestion for your next podcast, agad. It might be that some people have said this, but I wish the podcast could be more fun and relaxed. Just take a look at some podcasts inviting business leaders and CEOs. They might talk about chess, but their conversations are really fun ans relaxed. You might ask nakamura for things outside chess, or ask him to review some funny games/blunders. His stories with other chess players (especially Magnus). I really hope it'll work well and fun!

In the position at the 6:00 minute mark. Black and play knight to F5 and this attacks whites queen and breaks the attack. Because on the subsequent move you can push the pawn and defend the knight with the light square bishop.
if Morphy's queen was on E8 and knifht was moved to NF6, it would fork the black King and Queen and also opens up Rook's attack towards Morphy's queen. Morphy will lose his queen as he has to take care of the check from the knight on F6 and Boden would play RxE8
Oh, you mean what does it mean to capture en passant. Just search for "capture en passant". Wikipedia or somebody will explain it very well. But a pawn can't avoid capture by an oncoming pawn by moving 2 spaces instead of 1.
Or did you mean en passant? That's when a pawn advances 2 steps on its first move and adjacent black pawn can now capture it as though the pawn just moved 1 step and is attacking it diagonally, you know how a pawn regularly captures. This can happen only when a pawn is moved 2 steps on its first move, there is an opposite coloured pawn adjacent to the square it just moved to and that pawn immediately captures it. If they play someother move and then want to capture the pawn en passant, they cant
