Like the intake tube by the windscreen and the exhaust around back. Smart one there. This reminds me of an intersection near my work that gets about 3 feet deep in a 2 inch rain. It sunk because of a tree near it. Fun watching a car run through the cones and get buried to its roof and the people climb out onto the roof and stand there stunned while still on the phone. Best part is they have a cop that stands there now but people still go around the block and get stuck.
Air intake snorkel was a black tube behind the windshield.. Still pretty impressive, for a street bike. I might expect a off road machine to do it. They must have sealed the electronics pretty well. ... Honda...
this guy is awesome! and for all those having trouble with how it's working, if you look for the two black pipes under the screen at the end of the vid (someone points at one of them) this is where the air intake has been ducted to prevent it becoming a water intake...
Exhaust is not the issue. You could fully submerge the exhaust with no problems. The air intake however is lower on the bike and that is whats confusing to me. I didnt see a snorkel so how is the bike breathing?????
You are right but if the bike stalls with the exhaust under water then your fucked so he put a hose in the exhaust coming out to help him so if he does stall he wont kill his bike you just got to start it again.
Simply the airfilter will be converted to a hose like he did for the air intake, and the exhaust will just put a extension tube. It is modified to properly seal
2:49~2:55 he even points to the hose for intake. Pay attention! I was looking for a motorcycle or any vehicle that can use water for fuel. Now I know there are more than one meaning for running your vehicle on water. First car that ran on hydrogen/oxygen with internal combustion engine was invented in 1807 then next year he officially had the first internal combustion automobile. WATER FOR FUEL is the way to go.
Got it at the end.....Whole video i was just thinking how it’s possible if your Intake is under water..... not for this long.... Nice modifications though.....
Clever trick to put tubes on the carb and exhaust, but I'm still amazed that the electrics did not got shorted at all while being fully emerged into water. Some nice piece of engineering by Honda I have to admit.
Have none of you ever ridden a dirt bike through mud? Seriously? There are entire races, where the bikes (and quads) are in 2-4 feet of water on and off through out the race. This means they heat all the way up, then SPLASH into the water, then back out over and over. Nothing cracks. I have been riding dirt bikes off and on for 25 years, never ONCE have I heard of a block cracking from running it into water. The bike can take it, you guys are getting all bent out of shape over something that is a non issue. Hydro-lock is a different story.
gabrielf1911 Most dirt bikes and some regular bikes pull air out of a box sealed everywhere but under the seat. It looks like it is making enough of a wake to keep the water level just below there. That's irrelevant though, because that isn't what I, or the other people were talking about. They were saying the cold water on the outside of the motor would crack things, and I said it wont, because it wont. Because people take dirt bikes in waist deep water ALL THE TIME and it doesn't harm them unless they suck water in and hydrolock.
@Tantawania As long as the electrical is waterproofed and the air intake is above water it will work. Notice the black tubing attached to his windshield at the end of the clip. It's connected to the intake so it will pull in air instead of water.
it must be hard to keep balance like that, like if you rode over a brick or some garbage in the road and you started tipping in water how do you right yourself? seems like this requires a lot of finesse
Look @ 2:27, at the windshield... the air filter breaths through the hose he has stuck there In regards to waterproofing the high tension wire and spark plug, well, it's easy with some sealant glue.
It must be a low intensity submarine, modified with wheels as a two wheeler. It went well and smooth on hip high water, the moment it entered land it was switched off and parked on roadside,.. definetly it's a modified submarine ;-)
tech blogger i do same practical with 2 other bike. but not success.waterlevel also. low. 3rd time. i realised staring plug is not covered. rubber. cap. so i purshase new orginal staring plug. full covered other wireing also covered. then i easily ride bike in water. but level inimit. and most imp. thing i do this practical. underguideness.
@captaindrifto The snorkels were under the windscreen. They pointed out two hoses that he had running right down each side of the windscreen on the inside of the fairing. Hard to see but very clever.
if you could see, the exhaust, had a hose , you can see it while it goes away, maybe it had a snorkel on the carburetors and the sparkplugs, its not imposible, but it is hard, anyway, the guy is an asian guy why this amaze you, they can make a rocket with fuckings bolts :v (sorry for the bad english, and the racial estereotipes, had a good day, my fello internet cowboy)
Nathan Dance yes , but i read about there is a small thermostate on the radiator that only opens once the engine is heating, the water go trought the engine , and its not.the same the water that goes from the radiator, than a lot of water crashing directly in the engine, its a opinion greetings :D
He prevent water from entering the engine with silicone and move the air intake and exhaust. สุดตรีนครับ เครื่องสองจังหว่ะรอบจัดๆน่าจะโอเค แต่แปลกใจตรงนมหนูอากาศที่คาบูเรเตอร์เค้าจัดการส่วนนี้ยังไง
Nope, only intake needs to be above, loads of bikes have underbelly exhausts and they are fine to ride in floods as I have done many times. Also best proof I could find here, he even turns of the engine /watch?v=oqMc1q_dEGc
Oh. It's in Thailand. I Understand thai. Well, they shows that the air intake is connected to a pipe which you can find near the left side of the handle bar.
Ha....de exhaust blow air out and no need for the hose, the air intake typically located under the seat is the one that should have the hose to prevent the engine from sucking water in... :/
Like the intake tube by the windscreen and the exhaust around back. Smart one there.

UA-cam LIVES IN NOSTALGIA...

That's a real biker. A bit of water doesn't stop him. :)
Moving on with life like there isn't anything wrong. I have a heart attack when I see a pothole. Puts things in perspective.
That's why I love bikes and bikni 😘 both work well in/on water
Bde harami ho beta 🌝
Exhaust is not the issue. You could fully submerge the exhaust with no problems. The air intake however is lower on the bike and that is whats confusing to me. I didnt see a snorkel so how is the bike breathing?????
There are tubes on the top by the handle bars

James Dean बाल कृष्ण आचार्य
Some bikes have the intake at the top end of rear seat.
James Dean the air intake systems n filter s are just under behind the tank that's why

That's the best solution for your bike's heating issues😂
Simply the airfilter will be converted to a hose like he did for the air intake, and the exhaust will just put a extension tube. It is modified to properly seal
*tips from UA-cam*
Same situation in India, whole Mumbai is drowning and UA-cam knows what we are going through....

Water cooled engine i guess.
Lol
Laurynas S. No lol wtf you just need the intake to be above water engine need air to burn fuel not water
You mean... Flood cooled engine.
Every Deesal & petrol ingin are starting they want air

Wow... dang I feel for you guys in Thailand man. Damn I really feel for you. Awesome way to deal with the crap that just happens...
I have driven pulsar 200ns in same situation and successfully crossed the road

Then how does the bike get oxygen if it is fully submerged in water such as this?

What is a gf?
This type of modification should be called "Thai Tuned" from now on. Awesome!!!
the video even shows the snorkel for intake and exhaust. the bike is fine
air intake : plastic tube connected (2 tube behind wind shield)
spark plug & engine : seal with silicone
exhaust : plastic tube above water level (at passenger seat)
honda never dies..
Those two stroke hondas can go anywhere!!! To bad the U.S banned two stroke motorcycles back in the 80's.

I have zero respect for anybody who doesn't use a life-vest while riding in the water...
Best snorkel kit in the world !
Only a honda.
Chris Caliente nic
Chris Caliente omlyahonda

Any engine can do this lol... The important thing is to have the intake to be above water not sucking in water

It's danger to ride bike without seeing the way
Develope country its develope country bro
So, the exhaust was kept above water with the plastic hose, but how was the air intake kept above water ?
How the hell those bikes keep on running
First gear full rise.
Look @ 2:27, at the windshield... the air filter breaths through the hose he has stuck there

Water level above airfilter 😱
hit a bump at 1:30, still didn't stall..
that's a damn good bike!
After that I wanna see the cylinder
Panagiotis Spirou what would happen to it ?
BigBallsTv well, the heat of the cylinder crash with the cool water, this could break it, or make a malfunction ,
angel blanco HOW Is the bike still running then ?!!!
if you could see, the exhaust, had a hose , you can see it while it goes away, maybe it had a snorkel on the carburetors and the sparkplugs, its not imposible, but it is hard, anyway, the guy is an asian guy why this amaze you, they can make a rocket with fuckings bolts :v (sorry for the bad english, and the racial estereotipes, had a good day, my fello internet cowboy)

@TheNumber2Pencil546 Notice at like 1:45 ish see the tub tied to the back of the bike. Thats why it didn't flood out.
LOL I need to start watching to the end.
i like that he wears a helmet...protection comes first
He prevent water from entering the engine with silicone and move the air intake and exhaust.

Nope, only intake needs to be above, loads of bikes have underbelly exhausts and they are fine to ride in floods as I have done many times. Also best proof I could find here, he even turns of the engine /watch?v=oqMc1q_dEGc
Super super good welcome to tamilnadu
The dislike bar is like a ninja! U can't see him, but you know he's there :)
@asrulz he said that he use the silicone to seal every part and raise the air-intake to the hand level by that black tube.
and what about the thermal shock of the motor block? I guess sooner or later will crack and split in two.
Pssh... what you should be looking at is the old geezer with his umbrella when it's not even raining!
Oh. It's in Thailand. I Understand thai. Well, they shows that the air intake is connected to a pipe which you can find near the left side of the handle bar.
That's what I call a PERSONAL WATERCRAFT!
Ha....de exhaust blow air out and no need for the hose, the air intake typically located under the seat is the one that should have the hose to prevent the engine from sucking water in... :/

awesome bike NSR's are cool!
its risky yes... also having the bike fully submerged like that is not good for a lot of other parts. a good oily service is advised...
Thanks to every country to help Thailand.
no description available. Perfect description.
Oo super video
lol why does he need a helmet. .its not like his going at break-neck speed lol. . .but a massive win for the motorbike snorkel
intake is black tube at front white tube at rear is exhaust and he sealed any hole or something water can get inside such as spark plug with silicone.
all inlet and outlet have a tube on them so they are above the water.. therefor ir does not hurt it
