Hi Marlene! Today is my 1-year WW anniversary. I’m 5’6” (also 65 years young) and started at 205 lbs. Today I weigh 160 🎉. I have about 10 more pounds to go. I have YOU to thank 🙏🏻 I watched one of your videos in early 2022 and loved the concept of the app. That was the beginning. You’re a wonderful inspiration to so many. And congratulations on moving the scale down another 3 pounds! Question: is lose skin a problem for you? My upper arms and thighs are quite loose now.

You are amazing Marlene! I have tried to maintain my weight my whole life but after I had my children that’s when I had an extra 20 lbs to lose. I know that doesn’t sound like a whole lot but for me it surely was. I did weight watchers back then, it was in the 80’s and 90’s. I learned so much and continue to use what I learned way back then. I’m very petite. I used to be 5’ tall but I’ve shrunk a couple of inches and am only 4’10” tall now! I’m really so proud of you for losing 110 lbs and wanting to be healthier!!! Keep it up! I know you can lose those last 10 lbs Marlene!

One tip that is helpful in the evening after dinner is to brush your teeth (and floss) if you normally do at bedtime, do it sooner. Way back in my 20s I had read an article on Loni Anderson managing her weight by brushing her teeth after eating. I adapted that to my own habits and once I brush my teeth at night for bed, many times as early after dinner as I can so I don't get the munchies because I don't want to have to brush again later at bedtime. Once I do that "last" tooth brushing of the day I will absolutely not eat anything afterwards. I find if I let it go to long after dinner my mouth is looking for something more to eat even though I an not hungry.

I am kicking myself because I just saw weight watchers had a special that ended on the 17th I think it is where you paid $10 a month though you had to pay for 10 months up front. But maybe there will be another special for Valentine's Day or mother's Day?! I am going to look into those containers. I think my problem is I overeat not so much bad stuff just everything 🤪. I did write down the recipes you showed a while back of what you eat and they are very very good thank you for showing them. Congratulations on your weight loss and you look great! EDIT: I have the blend jet and bought one for my daughter and I love it! So if anyone is sitting on the fence about buying it don't... You won't regret it!

Hi. Thanks for sharing. I'm 67 and have lost about 80 pounds so far using a couple other sites and pretty much following a Mediterranean Diet. I used weight watchers a couple times in my life decades ago and have returned to try and break the plateau I have hit. I'm only 5'2" but otherwise am a close match with you for what I am attempting to lose. Good luck to you! I appreciate the insights you share.
Also beans have tons of fiber and what is called the “second meal effect”. They lower the glycemic index of foods eaten with the beans and also the next day!

If there's something you want to eat, eat it and perhaps make it a smaller portion. Take one day per week to eat whatever you like or your favorite foods. I'm a real pasta lover and a few weeks ago I tried protein pasta it really keeps me fuller for longer and of course I get in more protein. Hi Arlene, thank you so much! I know just what you mean that we hit a slump which is difficult to get out of. For me, I just had to get on the scale when I knew I was looking to eat out of boredom. That was my reminder why I joined the program. Also, as I started feeling better and the knee pain diminished, I reminded myself how much better I was was feeling. Sometimes when I just want to snack, I'll go for a short walk and that seems to help. Do you have hobbies or things you enjoy doing such as working in the yard? xoxo Marlene
Hi Sandie, I have a video on low point snacks; however, I'll record one just for desserts. I'll have to do a bit of searching because I purchase ready-made: sugar free jello (0 points), Jello pudding pack (2 points) and WW mini chocolate bars (2 points). For exercise, I walk approximately 5 or 6 miles per day. I break it up throughout the day. I don't walk it all in one shot. I walk about 1.5 miles at 7 AM, then again around 10AM, then around 2, then 6 PM and finish up with a short walk around 9 PM. I started out just walking to the corner and back due to knee pains but I have slowly increased to the amount of walking I do now. xoxo

It's a chrome effect that is applied over the nail polish to give it the iridescent appearance. I just asked the technician to use a mauve gel polish then apply the chrome over it. I usually just ask him to apply the chrome over whatever color I'm wearing. My favorite is with a light pink polish. I don't have a name for the mauve because it's the salon's generic gel polish they use. Try searching for Hailey Bieber nail polish. It may provide some color names xoxo Marlene

Hi Marlene. You look great and a lot smaller than 140 lbs, what makes me think that you have good muscles. Your videos are very inspirational and they help me a lot because I work with women trying to have less menopause symptoms with lifestyles changes. Those portion plates are a good idea. How about belly fat has it gone down as much as you wanted to? If you like to see some workouts with weights, online I like fitness with PJ (I don't know why, but the youtube algorithm doesn't like her, it never recommends her videos). when I do her workouts first I do my own warm up for about 8 minutes (just dancing). Congratulations, you are doing amazing, it takes a lot of discipline to achieve what you have done.
Hi Xassy! Thank you so much! I've never had much belly fat, but it may be genetics. The women in my family all have pretty flat bellies including my 90 year old aunt. Even at my highest weight, my arms and thighs were pretty large but no belly to speak of. After starting on WW, I did lower my carbs which may have helped. Hi Christina, sometimes it's our body adjusting. If you see you're eating all your points and not dropping, make sure you're drinking enough water. Also, take a day or two and use some of your extra points then go back and have a few points less then back to all your points. I did this a few times and it seemed to help. xoxo Marlene

Hi Connie, I don't go to the gym or anything like that. I just walk. When I started on WW, I'd walk just a short distance/day (about 2,000 steps). I increased the number of steps adding a bit more each week. I now walk almost 15,000 steps every day. However, I break it up. I don't walk it all at once. I walk about 4 or 5 times per day to get my steps in. :-) xoxo

There are lots of different brands of monk fruit sweeteners; if there's a difference, I have yet to find it. I get it on Amazon, but you may want to check at your local grocery store. I know some of my friends purchase theirs at Krugars and Trader Joes, but I don't have those nearby. Hi Marlene. You look great and a lot smaller than 140 lbs, what makes me think that you have good muscles. Your videos are very inspirational and they help me a lot because I work with women trying to have less menopause symptoms with lifestyles changes. Those portion plates are a good idea. How about belly fat has it gone down as much as you wanted to? If you like to see some workouts with weights, online I like fitness with PJ (I don't know why, but the youtube algorithm doesn't like her, it never recommends her videos). when I do her workouts first I do my own warm up for about 8 minutes (just dancing). Congratulations, you are doing amazing, it takes a lot of discipline to achieve what you have done.
Hi Xassy! Thank you so much! I've never had much belly fat, but it may be genetics. The women in my family all have pretty flat bellies including my 90 year old aunt. Even at my highest weight, my arms and thighs were pretty large but no belly to speak of. After starting on WW, I did lower my carbs which may have helped. I have loss 6 pounds but every week I weigh in my weight stays the same . I'm eating all of my points
Hi Christina, sometimes it's our body adjusting. If you see you're eating all your points and not dropping, make sure you're drinking enough water. Also, take a day or two and use some of your extra points then go back and have a few points less then back to all your points. I did this a few times and it seemed to help. xoxo Marlene

Marlene do you do much for exercise?
Hi Connie, I don't go to the gym or anything like that. I just walk. When I started on WW, I'd walk just a short distance/day (about 2,000 steps). I increased the number of steps adding a bit more each week. I now walk almost 15,000 steps every day. However, I break it up. I don't walk it all at once. I walk about 4 or 5 times per day to get my steps in. :-) xoxo
