As Ive gotten older Ive been able to appreciate more speedruns due to having played more of these games now. Always a treat when GDQ comes around. Hyped to watch this as my first of the inevitable binge of new content!

Go deep deep into dungeon, pausing only to return to town for mana potions, and more duping. 4. Obtain enough +1 magic potions to enable usage of key magic items to defeat Diablo. …and win! Is this right??

Auric Amulet found in Hellfire, allowing to carry 10.000 gold per stack! I remember loading game and dropping fields of gold stacks before going to the dungeon to loot some more.
Think Funk explained at some point that he did the math on how often he heard certain Voicelines in Diablo and came up with some pretty bad numbers, so he started switching them out, especially Adrias "I sense a soul in search for answers".
Is duping REALLY that tight? We were doing it on the class computer in middle school, I never thought the window was that tight for the inputs. Is there an easier variation or something?
great to see the good old D1 in GDQ... I remember the servers full of cheaters with [legit] on nickname, everybody with the same gear, all zodiac +20 to all atributes and stuff lol
You'd run the other classes the same way: as a magic build. Sure they would have less mana, and you'd have to reload from death more, but the concept is the same. @@Flea_ip
If it is the high pitched 'dit da dah' it's a replacement for what Adria normally says which is ' I sense a soul in search of answers ' it's suuuuper annoying on hard repeat so it was changed here. If some other sound let me know odds are though it is an audio replacement for something super annoying

Diablo 1 and 2, two of my all time favorite games. Funkmastermp, such a great runner. So glad to see this! Can't believe it's been 6 years..

If you alt tab out during the Lazarus cutscene, it skips it.
There's a cutscene that alt-tabbing skips.
Thats insane, but i learned a couple of new things about one of my three favorite childhood games. Diablo, Fallout, and Lego Island. excellent run.

Heh it's probably not even possible because of how strong the Mana Shield (or whatever) and Fire Wall are. Would be interesting to see though.
@@Flea_ip The others can also use mana shield and fire wall. They're just considerably worse at it, so they're less reliable/slower.
@@Flea_ip You could teleport scroll to level 13 (very hard, but probably not impossible), and then make your character jacked with elixirs
@@Flea_ip There are categories for Warrior and Rogue, but I think you play them the same as Mage, just slower
